Rock Crest Lodge And Cabins

Everything was clean. Staff was very friendly. Wish they serve breakfast earlier than 7 am. We had to travel at least 30 minutes to any of the events. Also the room could use a kuerig instead of a coffee pot. Overall the stay was good.

Great property! We loved the private cabin (#209). Everything was very clean. Also - we greatly appreciated the fact that they allowed us to shorten our stay by 2 days due to unforeseen circumstances that kept us in our previous destination for 2 extra days. They didn’t have to be flexible, but they were and they refunded us 2 nights. In all honesty, we wish we could’ve stayed the 4 nights we originally planned on staying. Loved this property!

Our cabin was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay. Only thing lacking was the breakfast. We ended up getting a hot breakfast in town.

We had the cabin up on the hill that had a covered deck that looked out to the rocks, trees, and hillside--extremely private and incredible view. All of us were senior citizens and we managed the stairs to the loft quite readily--it's equipped with railing on both side and this provided the safety, just take it slow in the night and do use both rails, not matter your age, the steps seem a little shallow in depth. Upstairs-- two double beds were comfortable, the sofa bed was not. Plan on just one person there on the couch or plan to bring your own blow up mattress or camping pad. We used bedding on the unfolded couch and it was "okay" just obviously not very roomy. As in any loft building, the upstairs will be warmer. Our stay was in September so it was fine. There was a fan upstairs and there is a good air conditioning/heating unit downstairs. It has a nice feature where it stays constant rather than on and off that could bother the downstairs sleeper. The kitchen isn't elaborately equipped. Bring your own cooking oil, and don't expect a baking dish. Simple dinners worked--eggs and toast, brats, soup, etc. We had our own drip coffee filter but there was a coffee pot. We missed that there wasn't an electric water kettle. So you had to use the kitchen pot to make tea/hot water/drip coffee. Hey, it's not camping and highly recommend staying here, would totally stay again. Beautiful, felt brand new, locked bikes and stored things on covered porch. Loved it!!
