There was no Whirlpool as shown in the hotels pictures. It was disappointing as this was the reason I reserved a room here. Attached are photos of what is in the area now.

I enjoyed the ease of pre-checking in where all I had to do was pick up the key cards. The clerk on duty was very nice and professional as she provided very helpful information.

The property needs some maintenance and the breakfast provided was very limited, cold and not well maintained.

The bathroom had hair lying on the floor and in the sink. The room had a strong burning smell. I called to clarify an extra charge that the hotel made to my card and they hung up on me twice. Terrible customer service.

This hotel must have been great once but it’s not kept tip top. We had no shower gel on the shower, tv didn’t work in the seating area but did work in the bed area. Breakfast wasn’t super and the people working were either dressed less than professional in housekeeping and wait staff where breakfast was served didn’t act like they wanted to be there. Kinda put us in a mood of less than. 🙁

Unfortunately the air conditioning was not working in any common areas for the entire stay. The desk staff never acknowledged us coming or going and were gruff when asked questions etc. No doubt the no air made for difficult working conditions. A few issues with door not locking as well!

The staff was rude. We were placed in the 1st floor handicap room right across from the ice machine, stairs and outside door. They were fully booked so we had no option to stay in that room. Getting a place to stay in this area is sometimes difficult and there were no other options to make different arrangements. I feel this facility uses this situation to book all of their rooms and not put consideration into the comfort of their customers.

Good location staff was nice but the breakfast part needs help. They slack in refilling things even ran out of silverware. If you say breakfast is till a certain time, you should be able to get it till that time and not have it empty shelves.

The hotel common area were very hot. Air mot working When we arrived our bed was not freshly made.

We have stayed here before; great hotel!

Overall a good stay though not excellent. The breakfast is disappointing. Five coffee thermoses and the cream ran out until refills were requested. It took another 15 minutes unril they were refilled and they subsequently had a lot of coffee grounds in them. Also, certain foods ran out and weren't replaced in a timely manner. Air conditioning in the common areas wasnt working and no fans were placed in these areas. Pretty uncomfortable. The parking area in the back of the building is very dark. Expected more from Marriott for the price.

My first comment on anything ever I believe. Stayed 1 night. Our room did not appear to be vacuumed, crumbs, fruit loops, gold fish on the floors when we checked in. Staff was nice and vacuumed for us right away. The bathroom sink water got so hot it almost burnt my son. Visible steam from bathroom faucet just past the middle to hot. I let front desk know and they said they'd create a work order. Pictures of pool area outdated. The hot tub is now a concrete sitting area. Common area bathroom by pool did not have working lights. Never any cups for water provided and ran out of coffee and milk at breakfast. I guess I expected more for price. Won't stay here again probably and we've been going to the area for 12 years. The staff was very nice and helpful which did not match the setting.

The property needs more workers as they were understaffed. Our room didnt get cleaned for a 2 night stay. Breakfast staff was understaffed as well. Needs some improvement overall

Nice hotel and clean. I think they were having some issues while we were there. O my 1 elevator was working and it was pretty warm overall, especially when going down for breakfast. Second time I have stayed here, and will again, just some temporary problems.

Liked the pool

Overall, very nice. Love the bedding! Only constructive comments are that there was no shower mat so the tile floor was slippery when wet and there was no hand soap in the bathroom. Bonus: there is a shuttle that runs between the hotel and Four Winds Casino. I would happily stay here again.

This was overall a nice hotel, but housekeeping did not visit once during our stay. There was a sign to put towels on the floor if new were needed which made me think housekeeping would be around, but nothing. Garbage also wasn’t emptied for 3 days. Even after calling, nothing changed. I understand this not happening with a night or two night stay, but this was longer.

Amazing stay! The hotel staff was friendly. The hotel was very clean from the room to the the common areas. Breakfast had plenty of options and was tasty, fresh, and hot. Pool was clean but was a little small but was fine for us since we were the only ones in it. Great location! I would recommend this hotel and plan on staying here again in the future.

I will start with the positives--Great location! Very convenient and nice short drive to beach and town. The lobby and our room were in great condition and we were pleased with the size and cleanliness as we entered our room on the first night. But..then, our first problem was that our fridge was not getting cold. We went down to ask the front desk clerk, and she just said, "I don't know." and left it at that...so, we googled the make and model and found the hidden knob to turn to make the fridge cool (located in very back of fridge, which we had to pull away from wall to find) ourselves. That is pretty minor inconvenience but, our biggest concern was that housekeeping was non-existent during our stay. The first day we came back to our room in the evening and saw that our room was not cleaned or refreshed. We went to front desk because we at least needed fresh towels to use. The clerk said that the rooms only get cleaned every THREE days! Well, our garbage can is already overflowing and we don't have towels. So she hands us 4 towels and a garbage bag. We stayed 3 nights and 4 days and not once was our room touched. Every night we had to go down to desk and get 4 new towels and a garbage bag. (very tiny garbage can!) It is ridiculous to pay this amount of money and have no service. We had the four of us in the room so,by the time we checked out, we had 12 wet towels piled in the bathroom to climb over as we got ready. With better customer service, hotel would be great.

Nice property. Very clean. Easy access to the highway.

I reserved this hotel a few months ago - one reason close to beaches but another reason is that it had a hot tub - my grandson needs this for health reasons. We got to the hotel and they said oh, we took out the hot tub a few weeks ago "you should have checked our website" - first after booking a room, I had no reason to go on there and check for any changes to the property. First disappointment. 2nd - went to desk on 2nd day and asked for clean towels - They had none. What hotel does not have clean towels for the guests. As I was at the front desk discussing this, someone came over from the pool area and asked for clean towels for the pool as there were none there. Same response. Not happy at all with this. One elevator was down my entire visit. The receptionist on day 2 was incredibly rude about everything and just seemed like she did not want to be there... very short with us when we asked for towels & hot chocolate as your coffee area was out of packages.. Should get some type of refund for this stay, it was not even close to being a good experience.

Overall, a fine hotel in good shape. The suite was spacious and clean. Staff was friendly. A few minor issues on our end: - All the coffee in our room was decaf (this surprised us in the a.m. Yes there was coffee downstairs, but I wasn’t ready for that). - one of the TV remotes didn’t work with the TV. The remotes were programmable but the two TVs were different brands. One worked okay (but not consistently) and the other just didn’t. - even turning the tv on manually showed the TV wasn’t connected to anything All of the above were minor issues for our one night stay. Overall, though, totally fine for our family of four.

The hotel is a decent hotel, construction isn’t outstanding, but it has been kept reasonably well and is reasonably comfortable. However, the air conditioning was completely useless. I was unable to get the room down much below a 73° kind of number, and I would’ve opened the windows to let in the air during the evening to cool things off, except that the noise from the expressway made it to loud to sleep. I stay at least once a week in the new Buffalo, Michigan city area, and I can say with that most assuredness I will not stay here again
