What a little gem of a find! This hotel is simply fantastic, the rooms are lovely, exceptionally clean and very, very comfortable! The added bonus was the pub which had the most amazing home cooked food, no microwave magic going on in this kitchen! Price of the food was too low when compared to other pubs but the quality was right at the top of the scale! To round off the whole experience the staff were amazing, very happy and cheerful and nothing was too much trouble for them. They really wanted to give you the best service and experience they could, obviously this culture comes down from the owners, who need to be commended for everything that they're doing at the Pen Mill! Would HIGHLY recommend staying here, I know I will be coming back again.

We had a lovely stay, room was okay the bed was quite comfortable and clean. Only one downside was we couldn’t have the windows open at night as there was a flat roof and we were worried Louis could jump out, we did used the fan supplied but it was quite noisy. The breakfast was very tasty with a nice selection to choose from. Overall the food was amazing, large portions, very tasty and good value for money, we ate at the hotel every evening as we thought we wouldn’t get better anywhere else. Louis our dog enjoyed his stay, he was very welcomed and looked after with treats and a bowl of water if needed. Louis met George the resident Lab who was very friendly. All the staff were attentive, nothing was too much trouble and all of the staff were very friendly If we ever come back to Somerset we will definitely stay here again, thoroughly recommend!

This is probably one of the best hotel experiences I've had and I stay away a lot with work. From first arrival to the lady who did the cleaning to ask if I'd enjoyed my stay as I was leaving, the service and friendliness of the staff was amazing. The restaurant food was excellent, as was the breakfast, particularly the presentation. The room was really clean and comfortable. All in all an excellent

Staff were extremely accommodating and welcoming. The food on offer was also most agreeable.

This is our 3rd stay at Penn Mill & definitely wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else when visiting Yeovil. Everything is fantastic from the friendly staff the amazing food and rooms. I would and have recommended to family & friends!

Couldn’t be more helpful. Very friendly staff. Lovely clean bright room with comfy beds. Breakfast was outstanding. Great daytime/evening menu. My sister and I stayed a Friday and Saturday night while visiting family. Would definitely recommend.

A very good stay. Staff particularly good. With both bar, restaurant and check-in staff very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and extras like the Nespresso machine and fan were appreciated. Well soundproofed considering the venue from pub below, but car park and patrons at closing time were very noisy and disturbed sleep through windows. A particularly noisy main road with lots of “boy racers” and queuing traffic at peak times took the shine off location wise. Breakfast amazing, with an excellent cooked option that was one of the best ever had. Would stay again.

Really helpful on booking as we'd just left a very poor other hotel in Yeovil and were looking for somewhere on short nitice that was not horrible. The hotel and room were just as described and everything was high quality and delivered in a friendly way.

The staff at the hotel and bar are brilliant, make you feel really welcome and so friendly. Food is great and a good number of beers lager to choose from. Hotel was clean and a good size, nice hot water from the shower. Breakfast was fantastic really nicely presented. Will stay again first rate.

Excellent place to stay and centrally located for my business travel purposes. Room 2 was well equipped, clean and spacious. Although, I did have a tad bit of a struggle getting in the shower and as a larger built guy the shower door space for getting in and out the shower was unusually small. Food was some of the best I've experienced in a hotel along with the service and I had breakfast, lunch and dinner over the two days. Every member of the team I experienced were friendly and personable with a smile and a chat. Would and will when I am in the area again.

We booked to stay at Pen Mill Inn for 2 nights because our daughter had given us tickets for the Yeovil Balloon Festival. We had looked for somewhere in the locality which we could book using our Tesco Clubcard vouchers, which Pen Mill Inn does. On arrival we were greeted by Luke who gave us our room key & details of coming & going. The balloon festival didn't happen on the evening we were there but we were so close to Yeovil town centre, about 1/2 mile walk, the wife didn't mind. Our room was clean, cosy & well stocked & although our view was at the back looking at another building, we had very little road noise. I have started running & found that Yeovil Country Park has an entrance directly opposite The Pen Mill Inn, Bonus! Although, I wouldn't recommend walking up Wyndham Hill after a run! I made a wrong turn & ended in the town centre & only found the rest of the Country Park on the way back, a lovely peaceful area with lots of tracks for walking, & a cafe. Luke tended to us at breakfast & was very attentive, he disclosed it was his first time running breakfast alone but he was excellent. We had a meal at the Pen Mill Inn on the second night, all of the staff were great, loved the dogs & brought them treats & the food we had was delicious. We would highly recommend the Pen Mill Inn for any length of stay, we will be back!

Good staff welcome, poor restaurant service later on, lack of service room, noisy bedroom (you can hear every vehicle passing by and something banging in front of the hotel), super clean but very uncomfortable bed, very clean facilities. It's too expensive for a bed & breakfast where it's not possible to rest or have a snack at night. The breakfast is limited, there is a good menu that you can order, but it might take 15min to get ready, so not good if you have to leave early. The man was very kind and offered me an option that could be ready in 5min, which was super tasty and well prepared. I do not recommend this place to anyone who expects to have a good rest at night.

Excellent base for the Yeovil area. Good restaurant and bar, although drinks are expensive. Rooms are OK although beds are very soft. Easy parking onsite

From the warm welcome on arrival, the excellent food, which was very reasonably priced, to the lovely warm, welcoming room, with lots of charm, we loved it all.

All excellent other than stairs. There is no lift and stairs are steep and dangerous for a disabled person. My wife has a mobility issue but nowhere in the advert does it mention the stair/no lift problem.

Very comfortable bed, nice clean room, good shower and bath. Lovely breakfast and very nice staff. Will definitely be staying here again.

Overall it was good. Pro: Service friendly and quick. Room was clean. Dinner at the hotel was delicious. Cons: Room was very hot, with no option to open windows and the small fan is just too loud and doesn't improve the situation much anyways. Breakfast wasn't as nice as expected. We had the avocado toast which tasted so lemony.
