Property was very unique anf fun. Staff were wonderful and very helpful. The old building and rooms have a lot of history and fun decor and makes your stay enjoyable. The location was super convenient and pancake breakfast a highlight each morning. Kids will love it!

I stayed one night with two small children. The wonderful manager, Hans, could not have possibly been more sweet and accommodating, even walking us to the parking space and carrying our bags in. The kids loved the pirate theme, the treasure hunt in the room and playing in the game room, which was full of toys, games, books and complimentary popcorn. The location could not have been better - we walked everywhere. The yummy personalized pancakes in the morning were the cherry on top. If you’re looking for a luxurious hotel, this isn’t it, but if you want fun, basic accommodations (with a comfy bed!) in an amazing location I highly recommend!

The Pirate Haus was such a fun experience! We enjoyed hunting for treasure in our room. My boys spent time in the shared family area coloring and playing with the Pirate toys. Breakfast was made to order pancakes by the staff each morning! They were delicious! The staff was so friendly, they make you feel like family! This hotel is close to EVERYTHING! We can't wait to come back!

Very nice. Owner was just wonderful. Overall not the fanciest place but very accommodating and clean. Within walking distance from absolutely everything there is to see in Saint Augustine. We will definitely visit here again in the future.

Disappointing. Entire building is run down and old. Look is way past "quaint". Caulk appears to hold every together. We couldn't even control the temperature in our room...thermostat in another guest's room controlled their room and our room. The only thing we could do was use a dowel to close one ceiling vent (followed manager's directions). Bed was comfortable. Staff personable.

This hotel was a wonderful find. Jenny the manager couldn’t have been more helpful with visit and dining recommendations, and a lovely pancake breakfast. It is super good value and located right beside the old town centre. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this friendly, comfortable hotel

Fantastic pirate themed hotel in the middle of town. This is a very convenient location to stay while exploring historic St. Augustine. This is an older building and new/upscale doesn't quite fit the theme. The tubs, sinks, etc are obviously older, but it is all clean. The beds were comfortable. There is a game/family room with couches, books, puzzles, toys, and a TV. There was not a TV in our room, but we weren't staying there to watch TV. We had amazing pancakes and fresh coffee provided by our amazing host.

I booked this inn because of location. First, the good parts. It is one block away from everything. Excellent location. The proprietor was very personable and sweet. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in. Has free wifi which helped a lot. Now the not so good. The inn is located in a 101 year old building on the second floor. You need to go up a noisey and steep flight of wooden steps to access the quarters. If you have any physical issues, then this is not for you. There are few amenities in the rooms: no tv, etc. All of those are in common areas. The bathrooms (poop deck) is small and old. Overall, i would say that if you want a centrally located place for you and the kids....go for it. If you are looking for a little more comfort, look elsewhere.

The theme is great. My grandson loves pirates and when I told him this was the theme he got so excited and was he smiling when we checked in and he saw the room.Pirates everywhere.

Whimsical decor. Not your standard motel. Fun place. Very friendly staff. Perfect location. You can walk to many of the attractions.

The Pirate Haus Inn was a delight from before the start through the finish. Before I arrived, I received a text from the Inn Keeper, Christine, touching base on my arrival time and providing pertinent information on where to park to unload my car. The room was clean and the property extremely unique in a very fun way. Everyone made you feel at home and what a great location, being in the Historic District. I have plans to return to St. Augustine (there's too much to do in one quick visit). When I do, I will definitely rebook at the Pirate Haus Inn.

Perfect family B&B in the heart of Old Town! ...at half the price!! You are literally next door to the Hilton, but so much friendlier and down to earth. My family and I had a great time!

I absolutely love Pirate Haus! This was my third time staying there! It is in walking distance to everything, as it’s in the heart of Saint Augustine, and the staff has always gone above and beyond. Always look forward to the pancakes in the morning. Feels like home away from home. My kids also loved the treasure hunt in their room! It never get old. Highly recommend!

Have stayed here before so no surprises except having to pay for parking. That’s new. Large, comfortable room and bed. Wifi, refrigerator, hairdryer. It’s main draw for us is the location. Right off St George and just steps from great restaurants, shopping, and the bridge. Just bear in mind it was a hostel so not luxurious, but comfortable and unique.

Very family-friendly hippie sort of feel, super friendly service and RIGHT in the middle of everything. We were able to park our car in one of their spaces (and parking in St Augustine is an elusive fairy as is, never mind overnight) and walk everywhere in the historic district without moving the car. Jenny texted us to see when we’d be arriving so that she could meet us and let us know where to park, and she made us personalized pancakes in the morning. It’s not easy to be a one-person show and be so hospitable but she was stellar. Our 6-year-old was very excited to wear her pirate hat and we loved the themed room - the only blemish for me was that the water pressure for the shower was very low and the water temperature took a very long time to regulate (I need more showers than the average bear), but I also understand that upgrading plumbing is a major and expensive undertaking. It does have that youth hostel slash bed and breakfast feel (from what I understand they used to also be a hostel) so if you’re good with that, this is a great spot. Amazing deal for the location and parking.

This is definitely a no frills place, but we knew that coming in so there weren’t any surprises. It used to be a hostel, and still has that feel to it. The area couldn’t be better - everything is in walking distance, and although the street noise can get loud, the place itself is quiet. The pancake breakfast offered is a nice touch too! Pirate Haus is the PERFECT place to stay if you want the downtown experience of St. Augustine. The rooms are large with several bunk beds and a king sized bed, so they accommodated my large family extremely well. The owner is incredibly friendly and helpful! Breakfast was a fun experience as well. There is a tv/playroom with tons of toys, games, and books for all ages. Pirate Haus is an affordable and fun way to stay in downtown St. Augustine. Every important location/tourist site is working walking distance. We will definitely stay here again!

We had a great time! Simple B&B that was clean and spacious. The kids loved the theming and pancakes for breakfast! We loved the kind and attentive service we got the whole time we were here. One of our favorite things was the "quiet hours" as we put our kids to bed early. Free wifi was great and loved the location as well. Parking was easy and we ended up walking everywhere since we were so close to most attractions. If you are picky about your toiletries, pack your own. We had a great time and can't wait to book again.
