Moved to a different location due to poor accomodations.

I really did not appreciate the loud music going on till twelve o, clock on Saturday night because of a party. Also a all-day retreat again was very loud all day. No room in the dining room because of all the people for those events. The windows in my room were dirty, full of small bugs.

Arrived for check in and the room was not cleaned. The previous persons trash was still in the room. The desk was covered in dead insects. The room smelled. The bed did not have sheets, or pillow cases. When I asked for sheets, they said all they had left were comforters.
2.0
Zero air circulation in rooms even with a cieling fan, very hot and sweaty. Uncomfortable single/twin mattresses. Had a room with the shared bathroom which was clean but inconvenient. The breakfast and beautiful views on the property is the only thing i could recommend to anyone.

It was ok for the money that we paid.

I understand that you get what you pay for, it is kind of a hostel so shared bathrooms and showers. I understand obviously you do not get an air conditioned room either. But the lack of basic items such as soap/tooth paste? Also there is NO shops anywhere nearby unless you drive 20 mins out IF you have a vehicle. Because Ubers refuse to come this way. Also, if there’s no AC can you please install fans that can run a little faster? I couldn’t sleep properly due to how hot/humans it was even with the window open.

Nice staff. Stay was really worth it. Wished there were more air conditioned rooms, but it was manageable if you open the window . Breakfast and parking included was a nice bonus. Area was quite tranquil and relaxing.

Lovely retreat center. In the evening there were some people who were arguing and slamming doors which did keep us up.

No shampoo and soap provided. No washroom in room. Location is 10 minutes drive from any major highway. Parking is a 5 minutes walk from the hotel.

The shared bathrooms which had a stall, one part with the shower and one part in which to get dry and dressed and to put your stuff and clothes was way too small.

The most disgusting place ever

Great stay , perfect for getting away from everyday life ! Quiet, peaceful, no TV , simple room , It’s not the ritz. It’s a basic dorm style hotel . It’s about the land around the hotel. A island ,wild life sanctuary , the lake and river , art exhibit, ice cream shop , lovely cafe and gift shop , the views , peaceful, bike and boats for rent , transportation across river to Lachine , free breakfast or meal plan option , restaurant next door ( make reservations, we never could get in , always short staffed it seemed). Also a great swimming pool ! Rooms again are dorm style, most only have bed or beds and a sink ! Majority washrooms and shower down the hall. I would recommend bring a house coat or coverup!

Very bad, terrible experience.

Shabby. Broken furniture. Dirt parking area which becomes muddy in rain. Limited exterior lighting gave area unsafe feeling. Friendly reception.

The environment around Hotel is wonderful, also is the breakfast.
The public transportation surrounding the area needs to be improved.

The hotel is very clean and in a beautiful location. The problems I have with our stay was that it had no air, no tv no phone and shared bathroom &shared showers. Check in was ok but she did not explain things very well. Also parking was very limited and when we came in at 10;30 no availability. Had to walk 1/4 mile back to hotel (at 80 yrs). Just not a happy stay. Would not go back.

This property is so beautiful, the rooms are very basic but there is enough to see outside that you won’t be spending much time in the room. I recommend paying a bit extra to get a private washroom, it’s worth the convenience.

This very affordable place is at a fair distance from Montreal but away from the concrete jungle out there. It's very quiet, clean, and surrounded by nature and its wilderness. If you're not looking for the luxury and amenities of a 4-star hotel, this place is for you. Mental hygiene and a spiritual retreat at its best.

It’s a charming old place in need of some TLC… air conditioning is to come summer 2024 (it was insanely hot in our second floor room), the tub needed to be reglazed (big patch in the middle) but the water pressure was great, and a TV in the room would be a nice addition. Great pillows but need better quality linens/blankets. Breakfast included but not very healthy. Good value and fascinating history… and the only place to stay in Chateauguay. Quiet with a lovely view of the lake. Friendly staff. I would stay there again. Lots of potential…

The room was dirt and the blanket was smelling so bad, they gave us one tiny room with twin bed for 2 people, Also all the washrooms and bathrooms were shared with men and women so I didn't feel safe at all.
Never ever recommend to anyone. We had a reservation for two nights, but since the condition of the room was so bad, we decided to cancel the second night, so we called Expedia and told them the terrible situation and they called the hotel and spoke to a guy named Inias and The money for the second night was supposed to be returned to us the next day, but the next day this guy said he didn't remember anything and the hotel refused to refund our money. It was terrible experience in Montreal.

Fabulous View from our room of the St Lawrence River . Amazing hot buffet breakfast. Room a bit small. Did not expect shared public bathroom. At least there was a sink in the room. Double bed a bit firm for me but perfect for my mom's bad back, after two nights there, she recovered. Very clean and quiet. The price cannot be beaten. It is steeped in history. Includes visit to Bird Sanctuary next door. We would definitely return.

The buffet food is not excellent but good for its price. During my stay, the small gym on the second floor was not fully operational (one of the two treadmills was not working). The hotel did not have shampoo (apparently, they ran out of it in their inventory, but this is something they should have planned ahead of time). The staff members were not flexible at all for early check-in or late check-out, which was very surprising given that the rooms were small and could be cleaned in perhaps less than half an hour.

My stay at Manoir was very relaxing.

Nice place to go relax, it’s very nice in front of the hotel cottage feelings. Negative point no toilet or shower in the room. You have to share in the hallway. A lot of 70 guests also.

If you want a quiet peaceful stress free getaway i think this is the place. Breakfast is as good as one that you would pay for. Dinner and suppers were also good. The only drawback that I had was caused by myself, shared bathroom and showers with other guests. They have rooms with private bathrooms so be sure to pick the right room. Really a great place wven with shared bath rooms.

If you are looking for an Hostel type of accomodation, that can work. Bedroom has no fridge, clock, electronic connection for phone, tablet or any usb devices, no extra blankets.
The shared showers were not clean...Hair bunny running on the floor and about 10-12 rooms if not more on the floor and only saw 1 room with the shared (2 showers and 1 bath) accomodation.

Staff were friendly and helpful but that is all that I can say was good about this place.
When u have to go down the hall to use the washroom and there is no toilet paper in the stalls that beyond sucks. Then to shower you also have to go down the hall. All of that is not in any information on the website :/

It is close to home very nice setting on the river.
Great breakfast included.
Very quiet, no tv, basic room, a little warm, but opened window.
