Korali Hotel is a lovely family-run place with an extremely friendly and welcoming atmosphere. It feels very cosy and has a fantastic location right in the heart of Antiparos, within easy walking distance of restaurants, shops, the port and pretty much everywhere you want to go. The hospitality and location were definitely the highlights of our stay.

The main disappointment was our room on the top floor at the back of the building. There is literally a wall from the neighbouring building about 20 cm outside the balcony. It completely blocks the view and even the sky, making the room feel quite enclosed. The balcony is essentially unusable as a balcony, since you are sitting directly in front of a wall. I think rooms in this particular position should be priced differently to reflect this, as the current price doesn’t feel like good value given the lack of any outlook or usable outdoor space.

On the positive side, the location is the main strength: the guesthouse is within easy walking distance of Antiparos port, which makes arriving and getting around very convenient. It’s a family-run place, and the hosts are friendly and helpful throughout the stay.

On the downside, the accommodation is very basic and had a few maintenance issues: the power socket was loose (see photo), the lamp fixture was rusty, and the towels weren’t clean. The balcony also looks straight onto the wall of the house opposite — only about 30 cm away — so there’s effectively no view. Breakfast isn’t a buffet but is charged item by item, at prices close to those of the cafés nearby, and overall the price-to-value ratio didn’t feel right. As a family-run business I would have liked to give a higher rating, but based on my stay I can’t honestly award more points.
