Nobody on the reception desk. After a call we found a key from our room which needs to get fixed as it was difficult to open and lock the door.

Always stay here when we come to town, it includes a great breakfast so definitely beats any of the motels in town. Plus it has a lot of character and history, all the rooms are unique.

Perfect location to experience the old townsite charm. We found the rooms to be perfectly appointed, everything is clean and the bed and sheets were incredibly comfortable. You feel transported back and experience the charm of this part of town. We also had a delicious breakfast that was included the next morning the staff food and atmosphere were wonderful.

The innkeeper Kelly is very hospitable. Included breakfast is very good. The biscuit is soft and delicious. The balcony outside the room was very nice to hang out in.

Love the history of the area and the hotel, second time we have stayed. Breafast is included and when it is available it is great. (restaurant closed on Mondays).

Room was great and check-in was easy. Would recommend. The only concern was that it said breakfast was included, but we had to pay. Still it was a nice time and we enjoyed our stay.

Staff was super nice and welcoming and appreciative. The room was lovely and very comfortable, and very unique; the inn has so much character. The hotel cafe was under renovation while we stayed there, but they made sure that we had a table and made us breakfast. We would definitely love to go back once the reno is finished.

For starters the bed was soooo comfortable 😊 a very good night sleep. We were disappointed that the restaurant was closed for renovations …..the room was to come with a full breakfast. We think that they should have advised us as that was part of our decision making. We didn’t have a way to reach the managers….we tried knocking on the door of their office but no answer. We were trying to get internet but maybe they don’t provide it.

Old historic hotel, so expect it to be quaint rather than modernized. The owner was helpful seeing us to our room and showing us how to use the TV remote. We were disappointed that the Cafe was closed for renovations - so we not able to get a hot cooked breakfast which was advertised to be included with our stay. We had a quiet, restful sleep in a comfortable king size bed in our spacious room. There was only a foam soap dispenser in the shower, so I had to drive to the main town to purchase shampoo and conditioner I was not able to finish drying my hair, since the dryer blew a fuse! The joys of old buildings!
For a small 'Townsite', they had a great brewery and a couple of restaurant choices within walking distance, as well as an historic movie theater.

Gorgeous heritage property with semi-industrial view of now defunct mill. Lots of effort has gone into preserving the hotel’s charm. Friendly service - when we could find it. It’s the off-season, but a welcome binder with wifi, TV and ice instructions would have been appreciated. Loved the historic neighbourhood, craft brewery and beautiful 1928 movie theatre.

We really enjoyed the ambiance and cozy feel of the hotel and very much loved the convenience, included-in-price and (especially) any-time-till-closing a la carte breakfast. And the staff were super helpful and friendly. Exploring the historic neighbourhood on foot was also a total treat! We will be back!!

Lovely decor and info about the area. Lots of little details were included that you don't find in all motels/hotels. Very reasonable price that included a great hot cooked breakfast.

Maybe not everyones cup of tea but we loved the quaintness and history of rbis place. Our riom was the judges chaimbers! It was like going home to gramas house with all the antiques everywhere. It was comfortable and the staff was awesome!

It was kind of weird … they called me earlier in the day to ask about when I was going to arrive and then if I wanted late check in which they were pushing so I relented as I wasn’t sure about the ferry and they made me email them pictures of my CC and drivers license which I think is an issue with security. Very unprofessional.

The Old Courthouse Inn had very friendly staff! The decor was beautiful and we loved wandering the halls to look at it all. The complimentary hot breakfast was delicious and service was impeccable. It was a wonderful stay and we'll definitely be back!

This boutique hotel was rich in history. You have to see it to be able to appreciate all the effort to preserve and hold on to the past. Beds were comfortable, air conditioner worked extremely well, breakfasts were excellent. The café opens at 9 am, so not great for the early riser. I did not like the 3 in 1 soap. You have to use the same soap for washing, shampooing, not a conditioner. Drying out your skin.

Beautifully decorated historical hotel. Staff are all super nice and helpful. Unfortunately, there was no hot water for a few hours. Old building, I guess it has its deficiencies. The breakfast was pretty good, but only started at 9 am and the service was slow due to amount of clients to serve.
The bed is super comfortable.
Overall, a very pleasant stay if you are not in a rush to get around. The friendliness of people who work is what made our stay special.

The Old Courthouse is our favourite place to stay in Powell River. It’s clean, quiet and nicely decorated. It’s in a heritage building in Townsite, with places to eat close by. Our king bed was comfy, and our room was large. We received breakfast as part of our stay and it was delicious. We will be back!
