The owner works directly in the office. It is very unfriendly and the surroundings are dirty.

This place looks like it needs to be condemned. The stairs are rickety, broken sidewalks. The room was dirty. It’s located next to a concert venue that played music until 10:00 pm

The property was so pretty and peaceful. The river was awesome. Friendly guests.

Older, rustic hotel that is quaint but dated. No view of anything from my room. What appeared to be long term residents and their pets sitting on couches out in front of the room and smoking cigarettes and other stuff in their PJs. Used 5 gallon paint buckets in the hallway and a few pieces of trash lying around. Went to the office, never did have contact with the owners or anybody that worked there. Location is convenient to services but the town is not that big.

Enjoyed my stay . Liked the rustic appeal. The trash near the riverside is an eyesore and smells. Perhaps a stronger effort to keep the “beach” area pristine would be appreciated by your patrons. Everything else was very enjoyable. I would return if opportunity to do so.

Peaceful

The lodge was cute, small and quaint. The staff was wonderful and very friendly. It is great for older adults looking for some peace and quiet by the river. I was with my kids, and the property supposedly had wifi, but nothing would connect. There was no reception and even the tv didnt work... it just wouldnt connect and load. The toilet handle fell off the toilet, but the owner came in and easily fixed it. The sink water spout, in the bathroom shot out water when we turned it on. So we turned it on low which was a little more difficult when we washed our hands and brushed our teeth. The room was cute and nicely decorated, but the lighting was very dim, and it was hard to see. The lamp was broken by the beds and we couldnt turn it on. It was an enjoyable stay, as we just came back to sleep. It was quiet and a nice little place despite some of the problems. We fell in love with the lodge cat and the location is very convenient.

The stay was AWESOME. Friendly owners, great location. Will Highly recommend.

Good sized room, mini fridge good sized plus microwave in room. Staff made coffee special for me and my friend since we had to get on the road at 5:00 a.m. the next day. This place is not luxurious but I am not seeking luxury, just clean, quiet, and spacious room with comfortable bed to spend the night in a river town.

Great location to everything. Walking distance to good coffee and dining, and our rafting outfitter. Our room was clean and comfortable. I want to stay here on our next trip to Kernville.

The location of this place could not be better. You are steps from the river. This is not a 5 star hotel, but it was clean enough and exactly what we were looking for. I have no idea how the staff is because it was a contactless check in and check out, which is fine with us.

The only reason I stayed here was because the place my friends were staying was overbooked. Riverview lodge is overpriced, has no pool and too many smokers

Booked this stay last minute. We have stayed in Kernville many of times however never had stayed at the Riverview Lodge. It was cute, clean and very convenient! We had our own beach front river access! At night the owners even lit a fire for us! Very pleased!! The staff was very easy going, helpful and kind! We will stay here again!!!

Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Cute cabin feel and you can see the river.

The motel was clean and hospitable, the owners were very nice and helpful. The rooms are basic, yet quaint. The location is perfect as it is in the center of town with easy access to restaurants, activities, and the river.

I never met the person who ran the place, never was told with the Wi-Fi was or where to go to get your coffee in the morning will never go there again

Property is along the Kern River so the setting is very enjoyable. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Not as clean as it usually is. Smelled bad as well.

The electricity went off twice. He charge my card for more than he should have. You couldn’t even sit on the porch because the chairs were full of spiderwebs. There’s no phone in the room to call the front desk. The shower curtain was full of mildew.
