We were checking in late at night. They took care of everything so we could just arrive and crash. They even put a bucket of ice in our room for us. Best stay ever!

Quiet throwback motel. Very clean and safe (electronic locks). Needs new mattress and the shampoo packet was impossible to open.

It is a wonderful old Time motel which is in excellent condition. It is locally owned and is very convenient to interstate 70 and too many restaurants nearby.

Very retro. The kind of place I used to stay with my folks growing up. Most of the amenities you'd expect in higher priced lodgings. No coffee or tea or breakfast included, but considering the extremely low price, you can afford to buy your own breakfast and coffee. Family owned and staff. Typical very friendly Midwest folks.

Property is dated a flash back from days gone by, but very clean with comfortable beds. Bathroom is very small and hard to maneuver in and out. Sink drain very slow. Staff was pleasant

No fan in the bathroom and windows need replaced.

In a bad area and very old. More like a residence inn. The lady that checked us in was nice, but the rooms were musty with old carpet. The shower was extremely small and we could not keep from getting water all over the floor. Other guests were a bit shady so we didn't even stay the night, we went to a different hotel. We wasted money paying for 2 rooms.

We checked in after 9 so did it over the phone- quick, easy, pleasant. Older motel- not a chain- please don’t let that steer you away- this place is a great stop! Would for sure stay again!

The Golden Inn is a great motel! Super friendly and welcoming owner checked me in, gave suggestion on a great place to grab dinner, room was huge with 3 beds, very clean, smelled fresh, owner had provided extra towels for our party of 4 and our 2 fur babies who had a great place to walk after a 15 hr drive in the car, you park right in front of your door, all are a plus! We will definitely be back!

Super friendly and easy check-in. It's hard to find a low-cost room with a bigger family, but their 3 bed room is extremely affordable. AC blows cold and shower has hot water, park right outside your door with secure keypad entry. Easy to find right on the highway. Very clean and quiet.

We are driving around the US, and this was a cozy one night stop along the road. It is what you expect from a nice roadside motel: clean, comfortable and with fantastic service from the owner. She recommended the farmer's market across the road, and New Paris has a couple of affordable antique shops if you want to pass some time. Would stay again!

One night stay on a longer road trip. No frills, but clean. Folks were friendly. Hotel is a little dated, beds aren’t really fancy but they worked fine for us. Most importantly it was clean, easy to get in and out, and pretty cheap. I’d definitely stay here again if I was passing through.

An older property. Property is located near an apple orchard. Owners are terrific, and place is dog friendly. Overall, quaint with a retro type charm. Be sure to check out the store across the road. Best apple cider donuts, period, full stop.

Owner was very sweet

The lady checking us in was great! She was friendly, informative & very welcoming. There was an odor in the room which was probably just because the AC hadn’t been turned on. But they didn’t know exactly when we would arrive so that was ok. That odor disappeared after running the AC. The bed was very comfortable, as was the temperature and function of the AC. We slept well! My concern is that the floors in the bathroom needed a thorough cleaning. Just around the perimeter, and about 2” from the wall, out onto the tile, very dusty under and along the baseboard heater. All other areas seemed very clean! This hotel could be charming but many structural repairs are needed. The caulking around the windows is cracked. Much disrepair. There is what could be a lovely front yard area with a wonderful fountain, but it appears to have been out of commission for some time, and the area not kept up. It seems the owners are trying, but so much is needed.

This is an old-time mom-and-pop motel. It brought back memories of family car trips years ago before the advent of chain hotels. It's a quiet area and the bed was firm and comfortable. The room was very clean and the bathroom was spotless. The woman (owner) was very pleasant at check-in.

I’ve stayed with the Goldens three times now and I love how perfectly clean everything is! Love the nice firm mattresses too.

This was a great place to spend the night while traveling through. We had a room with three full sized beds, which was perfect for our family. There was even a privacy wall separating one bed. Everything was clean, and there were plenty of towels. We were pulling a trailer, so the parking loop was perfect and made things very easy. The property was beautiful and had great space for a picnic and for the kids to run around. There was a farmer's market across the road with ice cream and fresh homemade donuts. Dominos in Richmond delivers. A great place in a great location at an excellent price!
