The hotel was very nice and in a great location with a nice view over the harbor, as expected from the description. We were on the first floor and I recommend asking for a room on a higher floor, because people walking by can look right up and into room.
Another point we didn’t think about was that the harbor is a commercial working port and it’s lit up all night, with ferries coming and going late night and early morning. There are blackout curtains in the room, but because we were unable to turn the AC down to desired temperature, we wanted to open the balcony doors and as such it was noisy and very bright! Wasn't a deal breaker but just something to be aware of.
The Spa was absolutely fantastic and well worth the €25 euros for 90 min of Turkish bath, sauna, salt scrub, bubble pool and relaxing area.
El Patio restaurant did not disappoint- we were incredibly impressed by the menu, quality and service by the wait staff, their recommendations were excellent and the seasonal Tuna run was reflected in a superb Tuna tartare dish! Surprisingly their Thai curry (prawn) was an amazing choice. A minor note on the gin and tonic - we love the Nordes gin and with the restaurant being of such high caliber would have expected Fever Tree Tonic - maybe snobbish but we are well traveled and Schweppes is just not the same with Nordes. On the flip side, their red wine was a winner!
Decor and ambiance of hotel is very nice and the breakfast (included) could not be knocked.

We had a great stay at Hotel & Spa La Residencia Puerto. Very close to everything in Tarifa. Make sure to spend some time at the rooftop pool!

The best time in Spain. I came to the hotel as a stopover on my way to Morocco. But next time it will be my first destination. It was a very warm and personable experience. The music, the food, the ambiance was simply endearing. Thank you.

What a lovely property! This was just what we needed for our stay in Tarifa. Lovely, comfortable room, cozy shower, and amazing breakfast. 10 minute walk (if that!) to the ferry terminal (it’s just across the parking lot) to go to Morocco. Very convenient to be able to park on-site. The only downside was that some of the reception staff was rather unpleasant, surprisingly.

On a driving trip through Spain and Portugal for 3 weeks. We were booked for 2 nights at this hotel. We liked it so much we extended our stay for another night. By far the best hotel experience of our entire trip! Fatima at the front desk was fantastic. Welcoming and highly professional. Simply wonderful guest experience. Beautiful room. Attractive decor everywhere. Even in the guest stairwells. Highly recommend.

This is one of the best hotels I have been to and I’ve been to many. It’s clean and tidy. Well thought out amenities. The breakfast is great. They even had a juicing machine to make your own veggie juice. Fresh OJ also.

The hotel was in pristine condition, with a lovely restaurant, spa and rooftop pool. Can’t beat the facilities here, and the staff was also wonderful! We had a fantastic dinner meal at the on-site restaurant, and the amazing breakfast was included. We highly recommend this lovely price.

This hotel is great, perfect waterfront location. Very welcoming staff. Rooms are nice sized, well equipped, and there were complimentary beer and sodas on the fridge. Amazing rooftop pool. There is a restaurant and the food was out of this world. Planning my return here very soon!

The hotel was fabulous, location, comfort and amenities. I had to wait approx. 45 minutes to check/in and was told I had to wait as the reservation from hotel.com did not arrive. We needed to park our car as it was in a temporary location. I had to call hotel.com prior to the reservation arriving.
They did not collect a credit card from me when I registered and we were in a hurry to catch the ferry, the transaction timing was awkward.

The staff was amazing, they made me feel like family. the restaurant food and staff especially Elena we're outstanding. I stayed in room 208 with a balcony overlooking the water. And the heated pool on the rooftop Was a great place to relax.

This hotel was exactly what we needed, a convenient clean layover stop on our way to Tangier. The hotel is literally 200 feet from the Ferry and quite nice. The front desk people spoke excellent English and we had no anxiety whatsoever in this spot.
