Great Place, Great Location. Very Clean

Salzbug and the Hotel Wolf were great! Hotel was in a fantastic location easily walkable to all the sites with great dining just outside. All waz great except their air conditioning was disabled due to energy costs. A/C was a must have on our list, and hotels.com listed that they had it.

The hotel canceled our reservations due to needed renovations. I never set foot in the hotel.

Perfect location. Wonderful service and staff-- so kind and welcoming. The breakfast is amazing. This is a no-brainer for those wanting to walk from the hotel to everything. Loved this hotel.

Personal touches. Beautiful breakfast set up. In old town so walk around the corner to the cathedral.

Staff is wonderful. Breakfast is exceptional. Hotel dog is cherry on top and location can’t be beat. Entire property has fantastic feel.

Very lovely stay. Great location near many popular attractions. Hotel staff gave us an awesome restaurant recommendation for traditional Austrian food. Breakfast was charming. They also stored our bags after we checked out until late afternoon. Totally recommend the Wolf.

We stayed in several hotels throughout Germany and Austria and this was by far our favourite. This is a beautiful old hotel, perfectly located, right off Mozartplatz. The room was spacious, comfortable, and very well appointed, The breakfast, offered in a beautiful dining room in the front of the building, was superb. But what truly made this our favourite was the staff, who were friendly, helpful, and always cheerful. They displayed a sense of pride in their hotel that was very well deserved. This is the perfect place to stay if you want to explore Altstadt in Salzburg.

Being in the Alt Stadt was the primary reason to book this hotel and it did not disappoint. Also, an amazing breakfast. No continental service there. Five star

We LOVED every thing about this charming, romantic Inn. It is conveniently located in the heart of Salzburg. The hosts (owners) were helpful and friendly, the room was perfect. In the morning we ate to classical music with a traditional Austrian breakfast and in the evening jazz played in the gathering room where you could purchase a small hurtle if wine. We will be back! x

This is the first negative review I've ever written a property or hotel in my life. I traveled to Salzburg with my 1 year old. Upon arrival, I requested a baby bed for her to sleep in. The gentleman who checked me in was a friendly older man who helped assemble the bed with a smile. Great. I asked if there would be a charge, he said no. Upon checkout, I was informed by the front desk I was going to be charged for the bed. However, I was not just informed about this, I was made to feel unwelcome and talked down to by a small gentleman with an ego much larger than his stature can support. He was arrogant, rude, and insulting. I won't go into the details of his exchange with myself and my wife, but let's just say, the words he chose would leave your jaw on the floor. Worst hotel experience of my life.

The hotel is in a pedestrian zone so getting your luggage from your car to the hotel can be difficult. Ask the desk clerk to provide you with an access code so you can drive to the hotel front door to drop off your luggage before you park.

Location was perfect and the staff was friendly, professional and efficient. Exceptional customer service, especially in the unique breakfast. Room was comfortable and quiet. Our only challenge was taking a shower in the deep bathtub but we see that bath setup frequently so maybe it’s an American problem. All in all, our stay was excellent and rewarding and we’d stay here again without hesitation.

Wow! You can tell that the building itself must be very old but it feels brand new... clean, well maintained, well laid out. But that wasnt even the best part. Their staff is incredible! They seemed genuinely excited (and I do mean excited) to welcome us to the hotel and to make sure everything was OK. When we had questions about Salzburg that they couldnt answer they were ready to make some phone calls and get answers. When they saw that we didnt take much from the breakfast buffet (were not big breakfast people), they offered to make something special for us. It felt more like staying with good friends than at a hotel.The hotel itself is right in the old part of town but about a block away from the crowd. It was perfect for seeing old Salzburg and for going to the castle.When I think back about our time in Salzburg, The Hotel Wolf will be one of our good memories!

Excellent location and historical family run hotel in the old town

The combination of a fabulous location in the old town, wonderful staff and its boutique style made this hotel a perfect choice for our New Years visit to Salzburg. We loved our stay here and will happily return. I have never experienced such friendly staff in a hotel - nothing was too much trouble. Our room was out the back so quiet and it was all very clean. Lovely walk-in shower too. Only one teeny tiny gripe- we would have liked some drawers for clothes. We were there for 5 days and a wardrobe on its own wasnt enough. Having said that I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel - it helped make our holiday very special.

I highly recommend this hotel! The staff was friendly and accommodating and spoke excellent English. They held my luggage (including laptop) in their locked office after I checked out so that I could explore the city unencumbered. The breakfast was very good and included personalized espresso drink made by the staff and a good spread of food choices. The location of this hotel is excellent. It is just steps away from the Christmas markets, museums, churches, shops, etc. Despite being right in the heart of old town, it feels very secure and I felt very safe as a woman travelling alone. The hotel is very clean and the decor is charming, with historic brickwork exposed to give a hint of the building's history.
