We like staying there because of its proximity to my son's place. But this stay was rough - here's why: 1) The storm. We had to stay an extra day. 2) Kids jumping above us all night. 3) No hot water on our last night. The hotel didn't tell us about the hot water issue when they discovered it. No discount or compensation for inconvenience. Kids jumping (after calling front desk) didn't stop. Some of this is out of the hotel's control, but creating comfort is 100% within their control. Most people there were stuck. Open the bar earlier, keep it open later. One free pastry... something. Oh...the best part was the loon who started screaming about his girlfriend. The staff quickly removed them. Kudos to the staff for immediately getting rid of the crazy!

Really beautiful little hotel! So close to Hollywood and all the other touristy things. Took us 25 min to get to Santa Monica / airport! Would definitely stay here again.

Nice clean hotel with EV charging in a convenient location

Everyone very nice, hotel looks updated, clean and well laid out - very comfortable. Only issue is being underneath a room above where people thumped around all night (for 3 nights) - so the floor/ceiling element must be pretty thin to hear people walking around their room at 3am for an hour. Chalk it up to coincidence - otherwise wonderful hotel experience.

The overall stay was excellent! The staff was incredibly kind and always willing to help. It's convenient to take a Uber to Universal Studios. The only issue for us was that the room is located close to the freeway, resulting in constant noise.

The hotel is very modern and the rooms are large and beds are comfy. The staff is great. The furniture is sparse and there is a fridge right inder the hangers, so there is nowhere to hang anything long. I feel another chair, or lounge chair is needed. Otherwise, we had a very nice stay.

We will be back! Don, Danny, and Jocelyn were super helpful and kind. Property is just as described. It seems to be a new facility so it’s really clean and updated. Parking is only $25/ night and you can take the elevator from the garage strait to your room floor. No need to stop in the lobby.

We stayed for 13 days and had to request that the room be cleaned nearly every day. Towels and face cloth daily. Not sure why there were no night stand lamps. The item in photo remained on the floor the entire stay despite repeated requests for the floor to be vacuum.

This was a quick trip to Hollywood Bvld, n Universal Studios. The hotel staff was friendly and the stay was clean! Loved and would highly recommend!

The place is about 4 years old. So fairly new. The parking is $25 a night and its safe and secured. Required pass to enter and exit. Parking was plenty. We had 4, two adults and 2 kids. So we booked a 2 queen beds. The room was like a modernized motel. We were given the 2nd floor room even though we checked in an hour early. There are 4 floors. After a night. We realized why they gave us the 2nd floor. There were thumps noises all night and day. NEXT day i mentioned and staff seems relunctant at first claiming i whoild be ok because the guests above is leaving. We have booked 3 nights. I told them it didnt sound like they were intentional noises. Almost normal walking motion. She said ok, she call me 2pm later to check what is available. 2:40pm i called because she obviously didn't check. Phone didnt work and they sent a tech that couldn't fix it. I walked down and she saw me and was obvious she forgot or didn't care. She finally gave me a 3rd floor clamong that's the best she can do. Although i didn’t like it how the language from her was as if she is doing it as a favor for me. Great. Whatever. I couldn't loose sleep another night sleep before we spend a full days with the kids at Universal Studio. We had to pack up and get to the new room. The 3rd floor it came quickly that we hear our own stumps walking normal. Wife 115lbs mind you. They just have thin floors. Staffs that clean the rooms were always unfriendly when we bump or ask them something. Welcome to LA i guess.

This was a simple unpretentious hotel with friendly and competent staff and a very clean room.

Amazing! Modern and chic! The only issue I had was the fragrance in the lobby. Not sure what it was, but there was a lot and it was just too strong.

Decent for a business overnighter. It’s got the 4 C’s: clean, convenient, cubbyholes, coffeemaker. It’s kind of Minimalist Hipster. Immaculate with a super nice deep soaking tub. Safe deposit boxes, robes, a fridge, bed was comfy. Rooms are just a bit bare for my taste. Not cozy, but efficient. I think out in this neighborhood where street parking is also plentiful, they should not charge for parking. A nice Whole Foods on the corner, and a Chevron too. I’d likely stay here again. Clean & Convenient being my #1 reasons.

The bedding was thin and sparse. The lighting in the room was very dark throughout.

Another good stay at Mariposa. Friendly, helpful staff. Able to check in early. The carpet in our room felt a little worn but otherwise the room was good. It's a little noisy with highway on one side and Riverside on the other BUT not loud enough that I needed earplugs. Will stay again.

It’s a nice hotel quiet at nice! Gym is a little small could use at least a cable machine to make it way better!

Right on the Freeway and very noisy. Also complex “contract terms” make you feel like you’re a criminal. And they require a room deposit. It is absurd.
