Hotel Von

Overall, I had an enjoyable stay at this hotel, but I personally would not choose to stay here again, as I found better options available. The location is excellent and probably one of the biggest highlights of this property. It is very convenient and well-situated, making it easy to explore the area. The staff, however, was a disappointment. I found them to be quite distant and unfriendly, and when I asked for dining recommendations or local suggestions, they did not seem very interested in helping or providing many options. A warmer and more welcoming approach from the staff would have made a big difference in the overall experience. The rooms were generally clean, but they appeared somewhat worn and could use better maintenance. There were some stains on the walls and visible signs of wear and tear that took away from the overall impression. The bathroom was clean and functional, but nothing particularly memorable. Overall, I would still recommend this hotel to travelers who prioritize location and convenience, as it has many positive qualities. However, based on my experience, I believe there are other hotels in the area that offer a better overall experience, especially in terms of service and upkeep.

Very modern and clean hotel, right in the middle of the tourist area of Reykjavik.

Hotel Von has the perfect location in downtown Reykjavik. It is right on the main shopping street. It is less than 5 minutes from Bus Stop 9, where all the tours pick up. Our room was very clean. The staff was always available and helpful. We highly recommend staying here.

Hotel Von is everything you need for a quick stay for a weekend or few nights stay in Reykjavik. Clean & Centrally located. Staff are nice & friendly. I recommend it 100%.
