This is a high priced form of a hostel that’s been remodeled. We stayed in a tiny room with 2 beds a wet sink & garbage can. Toilet u had to leave room & was rt on the other side of the wall to share w/other guests. Showers u had to walk down the hall & share with other guests. Oh but u got a bathrobe to use. Also no way to control the heat or cooling as we were in a high ceiling room with an actual key& the door didn’t stay shut unless it was locked. Not very secure. Plus they had canceled my res & tried contacting me. Well there is no cell coverage in the remote places out there. So by the time I got a hold of them she gave us the room rt by the entrance street. Very noises especially with a train blowing its horn too. Not worth the high price. Paid the same for a room with a bathroom inside it & breakfast included down the road. Positive thing is that the furnishings were up to date, seemed clean enough, & had access to a kureg coffee maker. That’s it. Very misleading of what u get on the website.

Very nice hotel with a different concept. Rooms without windows are strange, but rooms are in great condition, staff extremely helpful.

Great place to stay for a last minute option and hotel owner is the nicest person alive. Highly recommend if other hotels are expensive and can't find anywhere

People should note there are no desks/work stations in the rooms. My coworker and I solved this by going to the back lobby and setting up my laptop there. Guest Wifi was hinky but the manager troubleshot that (via text).

Nice clean room with stand alone bathroom. A friendly staff with a great location and price, would definitely stay there again.

If you are able to be independent, this is your place!

Caught me off guard a bit. It reminded me of an upgraded hostel. The rooms do not come with built in restrooms. The place has multiple communal restrooms and bathrooms. Overall the place is very clean and good for a quick stay if you need to be close to the airport. Our stay was good.

Very clean .. a hostel type set up…. But you have your own room… I do like that you can make your own coffee and they have a fridge for your food if you’d like…. Had a bit of trouble with the lock box for fobs but finally I got in😊

This was a great clean and up to date place to stay

The property was clean and a very safe downtown area.
With easy parking.
Perfect for someone needing a bed to sleep-in and go.
For a quick overnight due to travels.
Super close to BZM airport!
However, it is a dorm style or hostel style property with shared bathrooms. And the doors to the units were a bit loud with people coming and going. Perhaps silent hinges would help, as guest were checking in and out throughout the night and you could hear doors opening and closing as one tried to sleep.
Beside that, it was suitable for a quick trip and a clean room to stay in.

Good value and sharing bathrooms was no big deal. Awesome shower rooms, and comfy beds.

We thought the lack of an in-room bathroom would be a downside, but it was across the hall so that wasn’t too bad. However, there were plenty of other problems. The room was about 9 x 15 feet with no window. No wonder they don’t list the square footage of the room. With the bed and the countertop with the sink there was barely enough room for two pieces of luggage. There was a vent in the ceiling, but it seemed there was no ventilation. It was hot in the room. There was a fan but it was broken. The floor was dirty. The TV was useless. It was noisy and light came in around the door. There was no staff so when we had a problem with he door lock there was no one to help. Without any staff there we were concerned with security. Breakfast was packets of oatmeal. Overall this was a miserable experience. It was so bad we feel we deserve a refund.

Very nice set up and very easy check in my only complaint is that I it was very warm in our room and no way to really make it cooler as there was no thermostat in the room. The mattress was very soft which some people may prefer but I need a more firm mattress. This is one of the cleanest motels I’ve ever stayed at.

Ok, this "Micro Hotel" experience is interesting. There is a code key to get into the lobby, that's good, given it's right on the street.
However, the "One Key" smart phone entry to your room is cumbersome and totally unnecessary. One must download the ap, and have wifi, location and bluetooth enabled for it to work and its operation is slower than a card key. They also have lock boxes (you get a code via text) which I didn't try, but might be better. There's no staff on site to speak of. Breakfast bar is lean and bathroom is down the hall. Poor insulation means you can hear other guests' doors opening and closing in the middle of the night. Fortunately I just needed a place to sleep before an early flight in the morning and the price was a little better than any other stay's close to the airport.
Cab companies in the area seem "flaky" in the area and difficult to schedule and the Outpost was of no help in finding that transportation.
So if you are totally connected and really independent and just need a place to sleep, its OK for that.

It was nice. More like a hostel with bathrooms down the hall, but was nice. Appreciated the manager calling and making sure i had all the info i needed. Enjoyed my stay

Read description thoroughly, it is a Hostel as described by attending manager. Not our cup of tea sharing bathrooms. I selected it expecting a boutique hotel downtown, close to airport. It was clean and small with shared facilities. My family was not happy with arrangements, so we never unpacked and moved on to another local hotel chain. Friendly people, just not our scene.

So weird to not have humans at the motel except for guests. AC was cold in the room and couldn’t be turned down but luckily I had a blanket with me and heavy nightgown.

There's no bathroom or shower in the rooms, insulation is horrible, you will be waking up by other tenants in the middle of the night.

This was a great “youth hostel” experience. Very clean. Nice.

First experience using a Microtel. Mistake if you are senior couple who enjoy privacy. We were put into room where one side of bed was against wall so one person had to enter and get out of bed by going to foot of bed or climb over other partner in middle of night. No chair in room so you had to sit on bed to put on socks and shoes. The parking for this facility is on street or in city parking lot. The location is in a renovated area of town which has old historical buildings. The facility inside was clean and the community rooms were nice, but no one used them while we were there. The front desk person was not available when we arrived in middle of afternoon, so we stood in rain for 20 minutes to get into building. That person only worked limited hours, so you had no person access in case of emergency during the evening. That night we had 4 trains come thru at different times blowing whistles at each junction. This noise was not good for sleep.
If you don't mind community facilities and you are looking for just a place a sleep and you sleep deep, I would not recommend this Microtel.

Perfect pre-flight accommodations as it is literally a mile away from Bozeman Airport. I did not realize when I booked that not all the room have their own private bathrooms, but their are plenty of bathrooms & showers to use. I was also impressed on just how clean they were all kept.
To be honest, I thought the rooms & shared bathrooms there were even cleaner than most places I have stayed. It is also walking distance to some dining. Highly recommend.

Great property just down the street from the Bozeman Airport. My room was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The bathrooms were spotless and the water pressure is perfect! I will definitely be staying at The Outpost again my next trip to Bozeman. Thank you for everything!

Our room was dirty upon arrival and we ended up having to stay at another hotel

For those who go through Expedia trying to book a room quickly at all look at all of the text related to this hotel. YOU LIKELY WILL NOT HAVE A PRIVATE BATHROOM, NOT EVEN A TOILET.
Our room was tiny, with the bed crammed in a corner and taking up most of the room. You could enter the bed from one side only. It was like staying in a large closet. We had to get dressed to walk down a public hallway to a shared bathroom to pee.
It was loud off and on all night and all morning. We barely slept. It's obvious that the staff knows excessive noise is a big issue because they provided earplugs in the room. So you can listen to your heart beating all night with the plugs in or to everyone else's noise and the passing trains.
The only parking left was a lot across the street that we weren't certain we were allowed to stay in. The front door does not slide open so carrying things from across the street into the front door was a chore.
The key entry system didn't work so we had to stand there calling (twice before they picked up) for help.
It was a very awkward, uncomfortable experience. Heads up.
If you want a hostel meets cheap stark white hotel experience, this is it. We aren't hip enough to pretend it was worth that amount of money.

**NOT FOR FAMILIES***
Botched check-in process: was assigned two already occupied rooms at check-in via the OpenKey app.
The remote key method represents a potential safety hazard for guests, as access to their room is controlled remotely and not via a physical key (metal or RFID).
Rooms have a prison aesthetic with no windows and no desk or chair.
Shared bathroom shower had weak water pressure.
Walls are very thin and guests were coming/going in the middle of the night and pre-dawn hours. It was a bad night of interrupted sleep.

For the money this place was awesome! Beds are stupid comfy for sure, big thick pillows, clean room. Yes, there is communal showers and bathrooms, but they are private. Its not like your taking showers with all the other guest like some people say lol Location is perfect a couple doors down is a nice pub and restaurant, also close to the airport. If your high Maintenace don't come here, I never spoke to staff in person, everything I needed was there. Highly recommended this little place.

Hotel is very clean, modern, located near airport. The issue is getting to the inside of the hotel. They use OpenKey app to get you in, which is not even compatible with some Android devices. If this is the case you have to make arrangements ahead of time to get to your room.

Lawrence the front-desk-guy was such a help in getting me in the micro-hotel and settled in!

FYI, the Bathroom and showers are down the hall. Pillows were too thick to use. You can only leave your car parked for three days on street or in city lot across the street. Very clean
