Beautiful and peaceful

Staff could use a little more training in customer service and friendliness. The property was excellent!

The villas were clean and comfortable. The pool outside the patio was a plus and convenient to swim in. You can lounge or eat right by the pool. The large pool was beautiful and clean. Loved to watch the sunset. What I didn’t like was that access to the beach was closed off and there was a lot of construction going on at the time. When we arrived, we asked for large bowls and were told they didn’t have any. The next day we asked to borrow a large skillet and again they said we were only allowed to use what was in the kitchen. I was asking to borrow, not take a skillet. The front desk told me there should be pans in the kitchen, even after I explained that I needed a bigger pan to cook breakfast for my family. Then I was told maid service would be notified and no one ever showed up. They claim to have a fully equipped kitchen and plenty of storage space for kitchen supplies but limit you with small dishes and will not go out of their way to get you the necessities yet you will pay a hefty price to stay here, albeit there were many empty villas. Also, the service at the bar was very slow. It took 20 minutes to get a margarita! Finally, we were not able to connect our Roku to the Wifi. Overall, this would be an excellent place to stay in if they improved their service.

It was beautiful but repeatedly had to contact staff about villa issues such as no internet access, restroom leakage and rain entering one of the bedrooms. Staff was only responsive to our needs after several calls

Like almost everything only that the villas have the minimal things in the kitchen you have to bring even utensils and paper towels, water also they don’t Ofer filtered water. Location is great and we like the option that you can eat in the restaurant where the food is delicious if you don’t feel like cooking in the villa.

I enjoyed my stay here. There are a few maintenance issues that could be upgraded but overall very nice.

My Family and I were very satisfied at the Villa. Very clean, the beds and sheets are very comfortable. The air conditioning cools very nice. The personnel is very polite and helpful. Thank you. I am looking forward to many more stays.

The resort is beautiful, breathtaking. The infinity pool was nice and clean, the drinks at the pool bar were great and the staff very nice and friendly. The villa was clean and the beds very confortable, we had a unit that had the pool access and let me tell you it was amazing, just opening the back door and walking a few steps to the pool was great. The only thing is that if you are planning to cook there’s not alot of utensils but to us it wasn’t an issue and we didn’t have hot water in our unit. Will definitely stay here again.

The road to this place is a little odd but overall excellent

They need to make sure the towels are clean They look pretty dirty and Housekeeping need to clean restroom better as they aren’t clean to standard

My family was delighted by the ambiance and the facilities. The heated pool with access from the deck was a plus!

El lugar es muy bonito, las villas súper cómodas. El área social es muy linda y el restaurante muy rico. Recomiendo venir en temporada baja, porque no es muy grande y si esta lleno de personas, no creo que sea tan bonito.

Beautiful villas with gorgeous surroundings and well kept green areas and pools. Unfortunately, all towels are heavy stained and old. Also, the sheets were heavily stained and dirty. Is quite disgusting, actually.

The villas are newly built. Really nice decor and beautiful scenery. The villas are perfect for large families or friends. I recommend bringing your own food to cook, they have all you need to prep and serve. The food at the resort was not good at all, so bringing your own food is recommended. Walk out pool in the villas were nice. The sand on the beach is black and the waves were really rough, but with warm water.

La Mar was a nice hotel, great design idea.we loved having our villa patio open up to a pool. It also has a great pool area by the lobby and restaurant. The reception people were polite but did not offer much in regards to what the hotel offers or instructions on how lock your villa or any other info at all. It felt as if the place was new and hadn’t worked out all the kinks. That being said we enjoyed our stay and had a good time relaxing by the pools. Definitely plan to bring your own food items to cook in your villa as there isn’t much around and the main road is very poorly maintained.
