Outer Banks Motor Lodge

Place is right on the water with everything you need in the room. Small kitchen with fridge, microwave and stovetop. Room is very clean and the staff was above and beyond amazing. We can’t wait for the next time we come down to stay here.

I stayed here in the early 1980s, when I was in my early teens. It has been upgraded since then, but still provided that wonderful nostalgic feeling I had when I first visited the Outer Banks! I wanted my kids to experience this as well, so we booked a room for several days. We stayed in a courtyard room, which was still very quiet and comfortable, despite being next to the entrance drive. Unlike most beach motels, parking was NEVER an issue! We always had a spot close to the room. The room was clean and nicely appointed, with just about everything you could want. (Could have used an additional chair for the table.) The mattresses (and pillows) were HEAVENLY! I don't think I've slept on a more comfortable bed! The only issue we did have was the towel bar in the bathroom pulled out of the wall, but that was not until the last day of our stay. (Reported to maintenance) Additionally, checkout was not until 11:00 AM, which was nice as it relieved the stress of having to get cleared out in time. The pool hours were generous, open 9 AM till 9 PM. The pool itself was very clean and it was perfectly chlorinated, not like some that burn your eyes. The office staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a couple of conversations about where to eat, and they suggested some excellent options! I would highly recommend staying here and can't wait until we can visit again!!!

We had a pet friendly room. The room was very spacious, updated and clean. You would never know it was pet friendly. Will definitely go back .

We had a very comfortable King mattress. The room was clean and had been remodeled. It is right on the beach and close to all of the nearby attractions. The parking was right outside of our room. Very easy to get in and out of this motel. Highly recommend this location!
