First things first: Every interaction with our host, Emily, was fantastic. She was extremely responsive to messages, and flexible with accommodating some scheduling requests. (Thank you also for the offer of those garden tomatoes!) The cottage itself is adorable, yet also modern. It’s cozy, but has plenty of space. Loved the kitchen, especially. We also appreciated having access to washcloths, hand towels and dish towels in addition to bath towels. Same with hand soap and cleaning supplies. This was definitely one of the better-stocked rentals we’ve seen. All in all it was an absolutely delightful stay. I have just a few things I’d suggest to make this space perfect: 1) While everything that matters was clean, the house was also quite dusty, so maybe something to address in the off-season? ;-) 2) The kitchen was well-stocked with everything you could need, but all of the pots and pans — all with non-stick coating — were badly scraped up and (in my opinion) not really safe to use. 3) This might just be my hang-up with sliding-glass doors, but we were surprised there wasn’t a safety bar to put in the track. Better peace of mind, you know? Please please take these as well-intentioned suggestions, and nothing more. We loved our time here and would stay again in a heartbeat!

I thoroughly enjoyed my 6 weeks in this sweet cottage. There was plenty of open space for family visits, meals and games. Ill bre back next summer!

Cozy little place by the lake. Clean, comfortable. Has everything you need for a nice weekend at the lake. Lighting was poor in the living room area and the grill needs replaced/repaired. The owner responded quickly and answered all questions. Would stay at again!

"Happy harbor" was very clean, comfortable & nicely updated. The owners have truly provided several extra amenities, everything you could need to make it feel like home. All the linens are luxurious, clean & fresh, enough for the whole family all week!! There are several restaurants,stores & bars in walking distance. 3 min. walk to harbor dock for boat pick up also! You could get by w/o a car. The outdoor space provided was so peaceful & cute with the "party lights" fire pit & plenty of seating. Easy unloading your car with parking right at back sliding door. I would definitely reccomend & stay here again. You can't beat the $$ value! "The landing" & "LuLu's" serve delicious breakfasts. "Woodys" (short drive) has the best food & "Indian Head" for atmosphere & Bloody Marys! My husband & I truly enjoyed our stay & thank our wonderful hosts! The place was perfect! Adorably decorated, clean, comfortable, had so many conveniences. Having the dollar store so close came in handy as well as a local bar within walking distance. We will absolutely stay again!!

This little cottage is very cute...loved the decor. The beds and the furniture were quite comfortable. Very centrally located in a quiet, friendly neighborhood.

Overall unit was clean and accommodating however mattresses were stiff and gas grill threw flames out of a rusted out burner. Otherwise a nice place to enjoy time at the lake.

We visited Indian Lake for a couple of days due to a performance on Friday night & Saturday night. After our shows (very late at night), it was nice to come home to a safe neighborhood where we didn't have to unload our equipment overnight. Breakfast and coffee were just a block away. The walk to the water was just a block away as well. This cottage was right in the middle of both of our performance locations and only took a few minutes to get to and from sound check, dinner and drinks. The host were great and thought of everything. The home was clean and decorated adorably. The only suggestion would be to change the shower head. With thick hair, there was no way I could have washed it and rinsed the shampoo out correctly because there wasn't great pressure.. We will definitely stay again when we are in the area again.

This was our first visit to Indian Lake. Thus house was in a great location and we really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely rent again.

We had an amazing weekend! We were two couples and the house was perfect size. It looks exactly like the pictures online. The kitchen and bathrooms were sparkling clean. The host was extremely communicative and responsive. The house is walking distance to many spots. Absolutely adorable and will definitely book again!!

We had an amazing time here. The house was just as advertised. Easy access to everything at Indian Lake. We walked to many places and even the places we had to drive were easy to get to. Thank you to the hosts for making our stay a memorable one!

My friend and I attended a week-long meeting at in Jackson Center. This was a great location for our daily trip back and forth. We had everything we needed - snacks, coffee, abundance of towels, comfy beds and space to spread out with notes and computers each evening. Just the right size and just the right fit for the two of us but we noticeed it would be comfortable for a larger group as well. Nice touches throughout the renovated cottage. Cute colors, and elegant countertops - but not so overdone as to lose the lake cottage appeal.

Great little a lot that we are going to add to our frequent visit list. We often stay with parents at Indian lake. Sometimes we want to stretch our legs a bit and for us this place is perfect and worth the spend. Right next to the yacht club and the available conveniences of Russell’s point.

The location was less than a minute from nearby restaurants & convenience stores nearby. I felt safe staying alone in the area & neighborhood & shops to visit were within walking distance. The house & property was very clean & decorated bright, parking was perfect right outside back door entrance. The layout of the house was very spacious, the host provided everything I was looking for. An enjoyable stay,Happy Harbor cottage will exceed your expectations; you won’t be disappointed booking a stay here.

We rented Happy Harbor for a weekend getaway! The area of the rental was perfect and made for a great weekend! Would highly recommend staying here!

Great location with lots of shops, restaurants, roller skating rink, ski resort & beautiful views!! The host was outstanding with a very pleasant personality. The accommodations were above & beyond my expectations compared to some other places I’ve stayed. Definitely look forward to coming back in the summertime!!! Thank you again for a great stay!!

They have done a very nice job considering it is an older house. The beds and sheets are very comfortable. New towels and dishes. I would have liked bigger coffee cups. We used the fire pit, they supply the first package of wood, made smores, and enjoyed the fall weather. I brought my dog and it was nice to have the grassy area out back for her to potty. Close to the donut shop and had to make a liquor run which was 5 mins away. Seems to be close to alot. We would stay here again on our next visit for sure. Kim

Small cottage that was just right for a short getaway for the weekend to explore the Indian Lake area. Stylishly decorated and it feels fresh and extremely clean. Recommend!

This was a perfect little cottage for a long weekend getaway. It was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. We've stayed at VRBO's across the country (and a couple in the UK), and this was one of the best. One thing that seems silly but is often overlooked, are nightlights, and this cottage had plenty. If you have to get up in the middle of the night in an unfamiliar house, it's nice to be able to safely move around without turning on lights. The location was great, plenty of places to eat within a 5 minute walk. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay, and highly recommend the Happy Harbour cottage!
