Grand Palladium Select White Sand Resort & Spa - All Inclusive

We stayed in a villa in white sands and it was absolutely amazing! HUGE room… huge bathroom! And the cherry on top: we had our own canoe to explore the lagoon - to which we had private access from our little terrace. El Gaucho was absolutely fantastic. The teppanyaki as well! And the gym is fantastic! We also received a fantastic ‘oferta’ for spa treatments. We saw lots of wildlife. We also had family with a small child staying in family selection, Kantenah. They loved it!! Oh! And the Piacere coffee shop is full of delicious cakes and snacks.

The bracelet keys didn’t work very well. Sometimes yes, other times, no. I would recommend asking for a card key, as well as the bracelet.

Abbiamo trascorso 4 notti in questa struttura come ultima tappa del nostro viaggio in Messico ed è stata davvero un’ottima scelta per concludere la vacanza con qualche giorno di relax. Il resort è molto bello, grande e curato, composto da tre diversi hotel. Avendo prenotato tramite Booking, avevamo la possibilità di accedere liberamente a tutte le aree e ai servizi del complesso, senza particolari limitazioni, cosa che abbiamo apprezzato molto. La formula all inclusive è molto completa, con un’ampia scelta di ristoranti di diverse tipologie e cucine. Anche la qualità del cibo ci ha piacevolmente sorpresi: abbiamo mangiato molto bene e la varietà permette di cambiare ristorante e atmosfera ogni sera. Molto belle anche le piscine, grandi, curate e perfette per rilassarsi. Dopo un viaggio itinerante attraverso il Messico, questi quattro giorni sono stati esattamente quello che cercavamo. Un altro punto di forza è sicuramente lo staff, sempre disponibile, professionale e attento. Una menzione particolare va a Cielo ed Erick, i concierge della Villa 59, dove si trovava la nostra camera. Sono stati sempre presenti, gentili e disponibili e, soprattutto, di grande aiuto nel momento in cui ne abbiamo avuto bisogno. La loro attenzione ha contribuito a rendere il nostro soggiorno ancora più piacevole. Nel complesso, una struttura che consigliamo sicuramente a chi cerca qualche giorno di relax, tanti servizi e un ottimo livello di assistenza. We spent 4 nights at this resort as the final part of our trip through Mexico, and it was a great choice to end our holiday with a few relaxing days. The resort is beautiful, spacious and very well maintained, and the complex includes three different hotels. As we booked through Booking.com, we had full access to all the areas and facilities across the resort without restrictions, which was definitely a great advantage.

L’unico vero dispiacere è stato non poter godere pienamente del mare. Quest’anno la presenza di sargasso è stata eccezionalmente elevata e, durante il nostro soggiorno, ha reso difficile fare il bagno e vivere la spiaggia come avremmo voluto. Naturalmente non si tratta di una responsabilità della struttura, che anzi interveniva quotidianamente per pulire la spiaggia e limitare il problema il più possibile. Un altro aspetto da considerare è la distanza dai principali centri turistici della zona. Il resort è piuttosto isolato e, se si desidera uscire frequentemente o visitare località vicine, è praticamente necessario utilizzare taxi oppure noleggiare un’auto. The only real disappointment was not being able to fully enjoy the sea. This year, the amount of sargassum has been exceptionally high, and during our stay it made swimming and enjoying the beach quite difficult. Of course, this is completely beyond the resort’s control. In fact, the staff cleaned the beach every day and clearly made every effort to minimise the impact. Another aspect to consider is the resort’s distance from the main tourist areas. The property is fairly isolated, so if you plan to go out frequently or visit nearby towns and attractions, you will realistically need to rely on taxis or rent a car.

Overall, everything was quite nice and well maintained. The beach and pools had towels, chairs, bathrooms, etc. nearby. The buffets were well stocked. We didn't end up using the kids club but they had a good schedule of stuff for kids 4 and up.

I had bad seafood one night and was violently ill all night and my last day on the property - the sickest I've EVER been with explosions coming out of both ends. It was difficult to contact the spa to cancel my booking the next day bc nobody answered either phone line and all of the staff that I told that I got food poisoning just kind of giggled and said sorry. There was no offer from the front desk to provide medicine (they should probably have IVs at the spa if people are going to be dehydrated from extreme diarrhea) or even ginger ale and crackers without a $20 room service charge when you can't leave the room. I had to trek to the lobby to buy pepto for $20 and poop in a series of public restrooms to get there.
