ibis budget Gare de Poitiers

This was not a holiday visit, as I was in Poitiers to visit a friend in Hospital who is critically ill. I needed somewhere to stay which was near the airport where I landed and also very close to the railway station, as I had to get to Paris a few days later. it is a Budget Hotel, so not totally surprised at the lack of some amenities which I have come to expect during my travels. I would stay here again if the need arose, but may look for something which would provide a little more. The breakfast was basic, but acceptable.

I was here for 4 nights and on several occasions the key card to my room failed and I was forced to return to reception to get it re-coded. I was on the second floor.

Good Welcome and reception. Very near to rail station. Restaurants in vicinity. Quiet in hotel.

Staff really friendly, and the check-in was super easy.

The only thing that I missed was more options for breakfast (mainly fruits and eggs).

Air conditioning noisy, shower in bedroom 😫towels to small , breakfast awful !!!
