Definitely more of an "adult" vrbo. The dining table is like a cloverleaf (all glass--with a higher glass table in the middle so playing card/board games is "out", as well as sitting anymore than 4 around a table). Lots of fancy glass stuff and motif was more NYC than CA, but water pressure was good. Owner addressed d/washer and oven problems and was very hands-on. We hosted Thanksgiving dinner with our kids, who had own condos, w/some logistic problems, but it worked. NO in-condo washer/dryer or places to hang wet things, so that was a challenge as well. Beautiful prop, as far as pool/hot tub/stairs to beach location--couldn't be beat. Parking was easy. Enjoyed stay.

Nicely decorated perfectly clean unit with all the Creature Comforts one would need to enjoy their stay, communication back and forth with the owner of the property was excellent and prompt, Simy went above a beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. All that being said the security guard is a power-hungry jerk so just don't engage him at all

We had a lovely stay at this condo in the south end of solana beach. The location can’t be beat. Ocean view just steps away from the front door with staircase down to the beach. The beds were comfortable, kitchen well set up, spacious for 3-4 people. The reasons I did not give 5 stars: there was a musty smell with attempt to cover up with very potent febreeze plug-ins that burned our eyes when we arrived. Had to unplug them immediately. The check-in process was confusing. Information divided between vrbo message, text, phone call and listing information.

Had a great stay. Right on the beach down like 100 steps. Lifeguard stand at the bottom. Pool and hot tub overlooking the ocean. Two parking spots. Central location of the condo. Plenty of towels. Patio with sectional and umbrella. Dog friendly. We are used to laundry in the condo but this one was shared down in the garage and we had to pay. The association does not allow dogs to go to the bathroom anywhere on the premises not even on the grass. The condo is super secure with a security guard on site. Walk down the steps to the beach and walk down a little ways to the off leash dog beach. We love staying in this area. Great stay.

Perfect location for our annual father/son golf trip. The condo is in a quiet setting. The ocean and beach are no more than a minute walk from the unit. Includes all the amenities you would expect. Simy is very responsive and knows all the good restaurants. If we come back this way, we will definitely stay here.

We enjoyed the location of being close to beach and not having to find a parking spot. We could go out and enjoy sunsets an the views up on the bluff. Resturants and grocery stores near by. Would love to stat here again.

Our trip was planned around closing weekend at Del Mar Race Track. Some family joined us. We arrived Thurs before race weekend. We had a glorious time. Vrbo is conveniently located to anything you may need. Uber was fast and inexpensive.

I rented this apartment for my son and his family. We own another apartment in the complex. Easy communication with owner/management. Front door key didn't work so we called and help came fast. Then they replaced the broken front door asap. Clean. Pictures accurate on the website. The security of the complex has increased and the owner was on top of the requirements so we had no trouble.

My family of five really enjoyed our stay at this condo. The VRBO listing accurately describes the condo but I want to mention in my review that the condo doesn’t have air conditioning. The lack of AC was known when we booked the place and wasn’t an issue on our trip as the overnight temps got into the low 60s. The check in instructions were detailed enough that we didn’t need to contact the owner to ask any questions. Solana Beach is a quieter beach town that was great for our family. We could easily walk to local restaurants or coffee shops. You could make a short drive to Del Mar as well to try some of the restaurants in the middle of Del Mar. We spent several afternoons enjoying the beach next to the complex. Beach was nice and not super busy during our stay that occurred in late June. I will definitely will look to book this place again if I am ever back in the San Diego area.

Very nice 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo, tastefully furnished, well equipped, patio with coffee table and seating, in complex with heated pool, hot tub, table and chairs overlooking great beach, with secure railing preventing kids from getting to cliff. Over 100 step stairway down to beach. Upscale neighborhood about 15 min north of La Jolla and 30 min north of San Diego, Whole Foods and supermarket nearby. Less than 5 min south to nice community of Del Mar, that has quite a few restaurants. Less than 10 min south to Torrey Pines State Park ... great hiking. Also great golf course, fine and casual dining at Lodge at Torrey Pines. Only thing not initially clear on quick reading of the posting is condo does not have direct view of ocean, indirect from patio, ~ 4 condos back from ocean front. Not a problem for us. We took drinks and appetizers down to table overlooking beach at sunset. Owner provided great instructions and responded quicky via VRBO messaging. Would highly recommend for 4 or fewer people, as dining room table seats 4, king bed in one and queen in other bedroom.

Beautiful location, property is roomy and well appointed. We loved having access to the beach. On the beach we saw surfers, dogs and plenty of interesting rocks and shells to entertain our 7 year old.

We loved staying at Del Mar Shores Terrace. We were right in the beach! We also enjoyed the short walk from the condo to the great restaurants and shops along the PCH.

Comfortable furniture, fully equipped, accurately described. Clear entry and departure instructions. We loved the bathroom heaters and water pressure. Nicely furnished. Not IKEA furniture (great for a VRBO!) Garage space was convenient. Our only advice for future guests would be to bring slippers as the condo is above the garage so the floors are cold during the winter. We were here during a cold winter, so it may not always be an issue. Communication was quick and easy with Simy.

The property was nicely located right near the beach! Very modern furnishings and a lovely fireplace-new and different. Very clean and kitchen well equipped. We did have a small issue with the hot water heater-four people taking showers reduced the temp. So we just readjusted our schedule. Loved the spa shower. Beds very comfortable. Would highly recommend this property!

The location of this unit is fabulous if you will be attending the races. Not quite walking distance but close. It's a unit that needs a bit of TLC and maybe an upgrade in mattresses. Did find out from a neighbor that a fabulous ty food restaurant was across the street and it was yummy! Would stay here again.

This is a nice 2ba/2br unit in a complex that is literally adjacent to the expansive beach that lies between Del Mar and Solano Beach. For folks who know this area they’ll appreciate that even small units routinely sell for around $1M. Of course most such units will have breath taking views from the main living area, while this unit has more peekaboo views. Similarly the fanciest units will have decor to die for while this unit is has been updated since original construction but is not going to be featured in any magazine of current showplaces. That said the kitchen has a fridge that is large & new, a nice modern microwave, and a full size electric range that will serve any cooking needs as well as full size dishwasher. On-site community pool and whirlpool along with secure parking make this an excellent value!

Very nice apartment with good pool and beach access. Worked perfectly for our group with close proximity to metro bus and easy one mile walk to Amtrak and Coastal train station. Took Amtrak to LA for day game of Dodgers vs Cardinals during Pujols chase for 700. Worked perfectly (except for our choice of game). Check in and out very easy and host responded quickly to inquiries. Only surprise was lack of ac but unit had plenty of fans and portable cooling units that made it manageable in spite of warm weekend. Did not find any beach chairs, but towels and boogie boards were available. Beds were a little soft for our liking but kitchen was well stocked for our needs. Would definitely recommend.
