We travelled from the UK to visit the DC area staying at this property for 2 weeks. The location was great and the house was perfect with more than enough space for us. Robert was an absolute pleasure to deal with stocking the cupboards and Fridge with more than just the essentials which was very welcome given our arrival time was 2am. I only needed to contact Robert once during our stay as we found the temperature to hot overnight , I had a response in 10 minutes with everything sorted for the remainder of our trip. The house is 10 minutes from Glenmont Metro station which we found to be a convenient 30 minute or so journey into downtown DC. We also drove a couple of times to Baltimore to watch the baseball which was only 40 minutes away. Although the house is on a fairly narrow street with no sidewalk I found plenty of running routes through the wonderful Paint Branch Valley. The backyard is massive and my kids loved running about playing, Plenty of towels were provided and the property was very clean so we would highly recommend.

Few times in our rental houses that we do every year, we had felt in such a comfortable place, quite spacious, clean, and above all, Robert's kindness made us feel at home, his attentions, for example, leaving us some primary food , are of such consideration rarely seen by the host. I could write much more, but in a few words it is better ... Robert's house is an extraordinary place to vacation and feel very comfortable Thank you very much Robert, for all your attention. The property was clean, roomy and the exterior and grounds were very well cared for. One of 2 nicest houses on the block but the whole neighborhood was nice and very quiet. Not much for walking as roads were not very wide and some residents parked curbside. Inside was perfect. It is a 2-story with a kind of long, steep stairway. Not enough to stop you but enough to make you think twice whether you really need that thing upstairs near the end of the day. There is a baby gate at the too that you may use if needed. The whole house is baby proofed if you need it. Kitchen is nice, and he left it full of starter groceries. It was so appreciated, a bowl full of fruit, gallon of milk, bread, a box of cereal along with coffee, tea and lots of condiments. Plenty of parking and everybody had their own beds with plenty of bathrooms. The couch in the family area is in the process of being replaced I was told because it is not really usable. Somebody did a lot of heavy jumping on that thing! Be aware you are not within walking distance of the metro but there is a bus not too far away and Uber to Silver Springs metro was reasonable. It is close enough to restaurants, takeout and grocery stores that do takeout, delivery and instacart. Great place, price was very reasonable, air conditioning was awesome during the hottest time of the year. We would stay again!

This house is much nicer than the photos can show. It was well above our expectations. Robert was great to work with. Check in and check out was quick and easy. All linens were provided as well as some extras such as coffee, snacks, etc. I would definitely stay here again if we go back to the DC area.

This property was very well maintained and stocked with much of the essentials. It also was near one of the Washington DC's metro stations which was very helpful for our group as we were visiting DC every day.

This had all the space we needed for our family. We spent the days out and about, but the evening was spent catching fireflies and watching movies on 1 of the 3 Roku tvs. We slept well and felt like we were right at home!! Thanks Robert!!

My family really enjoyed this home, and Robert was very easygoing in terms of the check-in and check-out processes. The neighborhood is interesting; the home is on a very narrow street, but the neighbors are friendly and we felt safe taking long evening walks. My only complaint is that I didn't research DC traffic enough beforehand to realize that the short distance between the home and DC still takes a considerable amount of time to traverse. We drove into the city some days (use SpotHero for parking) and used the Metro the rest of the time. Driving in saved us time in the morning, but the commute home was always a nightmare. Metro was more expensive but saved a lot of stress. We preferred the Glenmont station over Silver Spring. Buy groceries at the nearest Giant Foods; we should have listened when Robert advised against Costco because it was a nightmare. Noodle King, just as we turned onto Hollywood, was a big hit. Overall, the house was great and we would stay there again!

Robert, the property owner gets a 10! The property gets a 10! Communicating with Robert gets a 10! If you're considering this property, which is in a quiet and safe neighborhood, stop considering and just book it. Staying here was the most comfortable of all the properties I've stayed at. The house is very clean. The beds were very comfortable. There's plenty of room so no one feels cramped or too close to each other, unless of course you want to be close. 😄 One night we prepared a fish dinner (go to Ocean City Seafood...about a 15-minute drive...well worth the drive) and all the pots and pans we needed for the preparation were there. For breakfast, lunch, or dinner, everything you need is there. And yes, the microwave, the dishwasher, and all the other appliances do work. There's no need for me to repeat what is already in the vrbo description. It really is as described. And if a problem were to arise and Robert was contacted, there is no doubt Robert would be very responsive. Staying here truly is a home away from home. Now stop reading and book it!

The home was spotless, conveniently located and has everything you will need. All four of us (adults) had plenty of space to spread out when we wanted some "alone" time. I would definitely stay here again!

The house was very comfortable and we all had our space and enjoyed our stay. It was a short car ride to the metro and we took it into DC every day. It was very nice to come back to the house and cook a meal and unwind. We would definitely recommend the place and stay there again if we come back to the area. Thank you :)

This house is fabulous especially for a family traveling to the DC area. Our host stocked up on all the essentials and my kids loved the juice boxes! The neighborhood is quiet, the beds are comfortable and there was plenty of room for everyone in this clean, well organized 5 bedroom ,3 full, 1 1/2 bath home. The fenced in back yard is beautiful and the patio with grill added a nice home away from home touch.

My family really enjoyed our stay at this house. We were here for a week visiting the main tourist sites. The house was clean and well furnished. We all had plenty of space to relax. Robert quickly answered all of our questions and graciously filled the kitchen with basic food supplies. Also, we had a short 10 minute drive to reach the metro and head into D.C. We highly recommend this house!

We have a great stay at the home. Our host was gracious and friendly! It was a very nice surprise to find food and drinks available for use. I would definitely stay again and recommend for future visitors to the area.

We really enjoyed our vacation stay. The home was pretty ideal for our needs, with bedroom space for teens to be alone/ unwind, as well as for parents to have enough space. Our group was two families combined, and the space worked really well for that, with the two suite bedrooms. Robert had really great communication and really anticipated pretty much any potential need. The small details, such as having fans available in the bedroom closets, really made a huge difference in the comfort of our stay.

3 of us in our 60's spent a week doing the sites in DC. All agreed - the perfect house. So well equipped and Robert was always ready to assist.

This was our second year coming to this house because we loved it the first time. It was great again. Really big house with lots of bedrooms and bathrooms, great for family. Super clean, and lots of added touches from the host. Can’t recommend it enough.

My husband and I stayed for a month during Christmas time and our 3 grown sons and their family joined us for a week for a family reunion. Robert is a super host, quick to respond and address anything we brought to his attention. He lives in the basement unit (via a separate entrance in the back of the house) but you won’t see or hear him. He is super respectful of your privacy. House is large, clean and comfortable. All the beds are very comfortable with memory foam type of mattresses. Family room has a gas fireplace controlled by a remote that kept us warm and cozy during cold days and nights. Kitchen is big and has ample countertop spaces for multiple people to cook at the same time. It has all the basics including spices for many home cooked meals. Robert filled the refrigerator and pantry to get us started which we REALLy appreciated on the checkin day after a long day of travel. We’ve been traveling full time for two years and never had a host fill up fridge with food as much as Robert. You can park your car in the garage. The house is about 10 min drive to Glenmont station, red line metro station. The house is an older neighborhood but quiet and felt safe. The only recommendation we have is to replace the couches in the family room as they are clean but bit worn out.

We were very pleased with the location, cleanliness and size of this house. We were greeted with 3 deer in the back yard which is not unusual since there is a Deer train behind the property. This is a great location to visit Washington DC. The metro station is only 15 minutes away. We were able to drive to Mount Vernon, the Washington Zoo and Arlington National Cemetery. For the Smithsonian’s and the White House we used metro. I would highly recommend this property for up to 10 guests.

This is my second long term stay at this property. The house is truly a home away from home.. The owner is very accommodating and goes beyond exception to make you feel to make your visit accommodating. A return visit is in my future!

Such a beautiful property, immaculately clean. Lovely garden. Stocked well. Quiet and comfortable. Truly didn’t want to come home! Robert was very helpful and polite when communicated with. The only issue we had was recycling, we done it wrong and the didn’t collect it (I just hate how different areas do different processes!) so apologies to Robert for this! Hope to return again soon!

The house was wonderful and Robert was an excellent host. He communicated quickly before the booking process, after we booked, and once we were on site. He provided many things in the kitchen so we did not have to bring anything to cook from home. Everyone enjoyed their stay!

Robert is an excellent host, very punctual at all requests. The location is excellent to all areas of the DMV, the house is well stocked of all you would ever need to make your first night stay feel like home. The house photos are just what the house actually looks like, plus more, and the price you are not going to find anything lower for this amazing quality. Thank you Robert, i actually want to check in myself for a weekend and i live 3 miles down the road. :)

This Colesville rental home was very spacious and comfortable. It is perfect for a large group and also met our needs as a couple. We appreciated Robert’s generous starter groceries, detergents, etc. and the use of a garage space. The home was very good and we passed a few insights to Robert to make it even better. We’d gladly stay here again to continue exploring the local area.

Excellent, spacious place to stay! We arrived late in evening, Robert had some food for us so we did not have to run to the store that night. Very pleased with our stay and recommend it highly to others.

Can't get anything better

Well stocked and clean house. Robert is a generous host and very considerate of guests, we could not even tell when he was home. Location is great for D.C. and other local sites. Our only complaint would be that the washer and dryer needs some attention. Highly recomend.

We were in Colesville with our family of six for a week to visit Washington. After a week in New York sharing rooms, it was great to each have a bedroom and a bathroom of their own. A metrostation is nearby to visit Washington, but a car is needed. House is clean, spacious and exactly as the pictures.

My siblings and our families (10 of us) were looking for a vacation rental in the Maryland/DC area for a week-long stay to enjoy the fabulous state parks, beaches, and culture of the area. We couldn’t have been more impressed with this rental home! It was spacious (and cozy) with room for everyone! The amenities were wonderful and were greatly appreciated. So many “extras” pushed this rental to the top of the list as far as rentals go!! We will treasure our experience in the Maryland/DC area! I wish I could give more than 5 stars!
