This experience sets the bar high for any future beach trip! From booking to check out our trip was outstanding. The community is quiet and safe. Javier, the property manager, went above and beyond to serve our family. Juana and her team provided our large group with warm and timely service. The facilities and beach are beautiful. And the house was lovely and spacious. It will be difficult to go anywhere else, knowing how well we were treated in Chacala!

Estamos encantados con el lugar, la casa esta increíble mejor de como se ve en las fotos, muy limpia, la gente staff muy amable y dispuestos a ayudar en todo momento. La playa esta muy cerca se puede ir caminando sin problema, además hay una alberca a unos cuantos pasos de la casa. Nuestra experiencia fue extraordinaria y la recomendamos mucho. Hacienda Chacala exceeded our expectations. We were looking forward to this trip and were not disappointed. The house is perfect for large groups/families, which fit the needs of our four adult children and their significant others. Everyone had a great time and there was more than enough room when we were together, or finding space for private time. The house even has a water purification system and we drank the tap water with no issues. Although the house exceeded our expectations, the services that Dan (owner) has arranged, created an experience beyond what I had dreamed this vacation could be. Javier, the property manager was great to work with and helped schedule private tours plus arrange cooking services and anything else we requested. He would check daily to be sure we had what we needed. Juana the Hacienda’s housekeeper provided great hospitality. It was like staying in a private hotel as every day the house is cleaned and beds made. She also led the cooking with help from another hired staff. The dishes they prepared were wonderful and the cost is so reasonable, you have to do it. We ended up having breakfast cooked every day. Our Christmas Eve dinner of Chili Relleno was awesome. They even catered to our different dietary needs and used fresh ingredients purchased daily. Gabriel who handles property maintenance, etc, brought us fresh coconuts on Christmas Day, and we drank coconut milk then we enjoyed the meat for several days. On another morning he brought us pineapple drinks, in small pineapples with other fruit, which was an unexpected treat. He also washed one of our cars that had been parked under a fruit tree. Golf carts are available, but we chose not to rent them. We walked to the private beach and into Chacala several times, and a few times drove our car. If you’re not into walking, they would be handy as there are hills to ascend/descend and the roads in town are dirt/gravel and uneven, which is part of the charm. A must visit is Onda Brewery, especially if you like craft beer/breweries. Jen and Boe are great hosts and we really enjoyed our visit, plus the beer. Currently they are open Friday and Saturday nights, so schedule your trip accordingly. Chacala is worth a visit as it is not commercialized like the towns further south and had the feel of a small fishing village, which it is, even over the Christmas holiday. Staying at Hacienda Chacala will make your Chacala experience beyond your expectations.
