The breakfast was below standard for a 5 star resort

very nice resort the view, the location in Sengigi. I love the private pool concept. the room is very big and open concept shower . the lift is very nice and really good experience for us. So windy during day and night time since it’s up hills. You will feel relaxing and nice to rest. we have tried the SPA , cost us 600k+ IDR for 90mins. Breakfast was simple , they will take the order A day before coffee & juice . breadbasket & fruits . So u have to choose 1 main course on top of the complementary. Overall is a must place to try!! I recommend 100

Our aircond room not functioning well. We complain they come and repair but still the same. we decide to open the sliding door at night. Owh another’s thing no beach from this resort u have to walk down hills go the beach Sengigi cross the road.

The facilities, the views and the amazing staff. The fish options for lunch or dinner are very good and tasty. Sangria rose is the best here. The wine options are enough but can be expanded. The room service menu and ordering integrated on the Xiaomi TV is very nice and gives a modern touch.

The breakfast options should be improved as in quality and variety. I served at dinner a beef T-Bone steak and it was very dissapointing. The quantity and quality of the meat was very less. Also please remove the room soundproof statement from the description because it's really not the case. The room Villas has no good closing system for bathroom or room in order to eliminate every sound from the wind or from the mosque near(every morning at 5 am). Unfortunately we could feel wind current in the room because the gliding doors are not very well isolated(big space between the gliding doors) and considering the location on the hill near the coast is quite imposibile not to hear and fell the wind. You can request earplugs from reception. The umbrellas from the resting beds near the main pool should be mobile because the sun is always coming from the sea and there is no possibility to create shade in the middle of the day. ***Unfortunately the beaches on the west coast are all full of plastic pollution, as we checked live. From Kalandara you can visit the North side of Lombok for Senaru Traditional Village and Sedang Gile Waterfall (these are amazing).

- didnt expect the family room to be separated into two buildings. the master bedroom is too dim with the lighting. we had to use torchlight to search our stuff. if it rains, umbrella is needed to move from one building to another, although 5m apart. - no wall, next to the bathtub in the master bedroom, although covered by wooden window shade. as such, privacy seems compromise. at least give option to us to close or open with a panel or something. due to the strong wind, the glass door inside (next to the toilet bowl) was making alot of noise when we were sleeping. also, small insects enter thru the open space - saw a mouse running to the wooden parquet below the restaurant flooring. - the lift is very complicated system like a pulley system and no side walls. wondering what happened when it rains. its always faulty due to its complicated engineering. we ended up had to walk up and down the steep slope or stairs couple of time.. if you dont know, the hotel is on the high side of the hill.

Excellent service, especially Wulan & Najwa. Also the men Aziz & Aldi thank you very much. We really had a fantastic stay due to the great team! They know everyone by name, and always ready to help. Great location with an amazing view. 5min with car/motorbike to the center

Staff & Services: The staff at Kalandara Resort were incredibly helpful and friendly. Special appreciation to the buggy drivers who tirelessly transported guests to various locations. They even offered to drop guests off at nearby areas within Sengigi since the resort is located a bit far from the market and food stalls. Food: We enjoyed a different breakfast every day. It would be great if they could offer more dessert options. Highlights included delicious smoothies, fresh fruits, coffee, Nasi Goreng, and Soto. However, the croissant tasted more like bread and lacked a buttery flavor. The Mee Goreng lacked taste, and the Tiramisu was too sweet for my liking. Spa: The spa service and rooms were excellent, and the therapists were kind. It would be nice to have more options for scrubs and oils, and perhaps better soundproofing from roadside noises. Room: The room had an incredible view, a private pool, and a bathtub. We were able to order room service through the TV, although I recommend anyone that booked the room to double-check the room phone to ensure it's working properly. I missed some items in my order because I didn't check the phone. The staff made an effort to contact me, but couldn't reach me. The turndown service was very helpful, even though I requested it last minute. However, I was hoping for some flowers on the bed OR in the room's walkway, OR even in the bathtub for a more romantic touch. Overall, I had an amazing experience! Great job, Kalandara team! *Don't be alarmed if the doorbell rings after a power outage. It is normal.

You might come across some bugs or caterpillars near your private pool, but it's all part of being close to nature.

Was pleasantly surprise at how beautiful the hotel was. Room was immaculate too. Ala carte breakfast but taste of the food was delicious. All in all it was highly enjoyable and would definitely recommend. Shoutout to the reception staff as well for their excellent service. Especially those of Najwa and Aziz. Made my stay very memorable.
