Doune Guest House

Second time staying and room 7 again. Great location& everything we needed for a 2 night stay for the Dunhill golf

Property in good location. Bed very comfortable. Good idea not having to carry a key

Nothing

Location was a winner close to eateries, golf course and pubs

The place is in desperate need of a deep clean, carpet filthy, toilet not cleaned thoroughly, ‘look under the seat’

The location was ok, and the bed was very comfortable. Lovely toiletries in the en suite.

First impressions were that the place is tired. The carpets are very marked and looked filthy - this may not be the case but its how they looked. The ensuite in my room looked fairly new, but I could not turn off one of the shower heads properly. I did meet a guy on the stairs (possibly owner) who said he would look into it. When I came back to my room it was turned off. However during the night it started dripping and there was a puddle on the bathroom floor. I closed the shower door, but the water then bounced off the door. I had a very disturbed night. I also thought the cost of the breakfast which was in a local cafe, was very expensive, I got much better value elsewhere.
