Our stay at Gyeongju Hanok Sowha was absolutely perfect from start to finish. Sujin and her husband were incredibly welcoming and thoughtful hosts. They met us right upon arrival, helped us with our bags, and gave us a detailed tour to make sure we felt right at home. Communication was effortless throughout—Sujin checked in periodically to ensure we had everything we needed, and she even arranged a taxi for our checkout so we could comfortably reach the train station with all our luggage. One of the highlights of our trip was the breakfast—Sujin provided fresh, homemade vegetarian and bulgogi kimbap every morning, which was such a delicious and authentic start to our day. We highly recommend taking your time to enjoy it outside in the private courtyard! The hanok itself was spotless, beautifully appointed, and surprisingly modern and comfortable while retaining its historic charm. Despite being just steps away from one end of Hwangridan-gil, the property was wonderfully quiet and restful at night. The location couldn't be better: convenient to the lively main strip, yet tucked away on a peaceful lane just a couple minutes' walk from the ancient royal burial mounds and Cheomseongdae Observatory. We couldn't have asked for a warmer host or a better place to stay in Gyeongju—thank you, Sujin, for making our trip so special! We hope to be back!

We had the most wonderful stay at Hanok Showa and honestly could not have wished for a warmer welcome or a more beautiful place to stay in Gyeongju. From the moment we arrived, Sujin and her husband made us feel incredibly welcome. They were both so kind, thoughtful and genuinely lovely, always happy to answer our questions and help us with anything we needed. Their warmth and hospitality made our stay feel very special. The hanok itself is absolutely beautiful. It has so much charm and character, while at the same time being spotlessly clean, comfortable and so carefully looked after. You can really see how much love and attention goes into the whole property. The gardens are beautifully maintained and create such a peaceful atmosphere. The little pool at the back was such a fabulous addition, especially for our children, who absolutely loved it and spent so much time enjoying themselves there. It made an already wonderful stay even more memorable for our family. We had such a lovely time at Hanok Showa and left with very happy memories of both the place and the people. Sujin and her husband are wonderful hosts, and we are so grateful for the kindness and hospitality they showed us during our stay.
