Imagine living in a museum. Peter, the owner, has thoughtfully designed this house integrating modern conveniences with a historical feel. This is a unique and special place. Peter was also very kind and helpful with questions. This is not an easy house if you have trouble with stairs, and be sure to watch your head on some of the beams if you are tall. These are not negatives, but part of living in a traditional home. Also, the house is not in the correct place on Google Maps, but Ms. Sevasti will meet you in the main square and show you the way.

The most memorable, fascinating accommodation of my life. Unbelievably thoughtful and detailed renovation of a Byzantine era property. Simply fabulous attention to detail.
Very hard to find. Involves a long walk over cobblestones with luggage—I wish I had been told to just bring an overnight bag. Also Mesta has only one not very good place for dinner—eat before you arrive or cook for yourself.
