It’s always nice when hotel people smile and make you feel welcome. When they’re willing to listen and even visit a bit. How refreshing.

Easy to find and lots of restaurants in walking distance

The water pressure was to die for. Great staff. Clean. Excellent television with a TV Guide channel and closed captioning. The parking is free, and there is easy access to Park Ave - one of the main thoroughfares in Muscatine and Highway 61. You can catch the bus from the hotel, plus there are three restaurants and one sports bar within a two-minute walk of the hotel. The coffee maker is different from the Keurig-style pod, which was disappointing. The breakfast could be better.

Room and bathroom had much wear and tear, room super humid and musty smelling, room door hard to open, tub filled with water while taking a shower and did not look clean because it was old and beat up. Bed pillows very uncomfortable. Entire hotel in general pretty ragged looking. Breakfast had various options but not vegetarian friendly when it came to hot items.. Instead of plain eggs, bacon was mixed in. There were other options like cereal and waffles. Staff was very nice and attentive. Parking free and easy. Good location.

The property shows attention to detail for maintenance, upkeep, and decoration. Sometimes you don’t see that. We liked the breakfast too.

Although I had to drive backward instead of toward West, I didn't mind at all because the other place was so bad. When I found Best Western Hotel, I felt much better. It's clean, safe, and the staffs were nice.

I have an RV so it was important to me thst I could park easily. I could also walk to get meals.

Hotel was average. Breakfast was something undesirable. Front desk wasn't staffed some of the time.

This hotel had friendly staff, efficient check-in, clean comfortable room, and breakfast which included hot food- eggs, sausage! A waffle maker was also available but we didn't indulge 😉 The indoor pool looked inviting but our schedule didn't allow us time for a swim.

Positives were that the room was clean and comfortable. Nice big TV and lots of outlets. The breakfast was good with a nice selection of food. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was not more than 10 minutes from any of the things we wanted to do in the area. Negatives were minor. All of the pillows were firm and they did not have any soft pillows so sleeping on them was difficult. Bring your own pillow if you don't like a firm pillow. And, the bathroom door would not stay shut. Again, minor things which would not keep us from staying here on a future trip.

The property was clean, which is my biggest concern. The pool was closed due to maintenance. I feel this should have been noted on their website. The bed was extremely hard. I'm glad we only spent 1 night here.

I was a little leary after reading reviews, but we booked anyway. So very glad we did! Staff was courteous and friendly for check-in and check-out. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. We both need gluten free, so we were pleased to find eggs, sausages and cheesy hash browns for breakfast. Coffee was fresh, hot and good. Wifi was good and easy to connect to. No reason why this hotel should be as dirty and non-functional as it is. It is not all that old. I am not picky about hotels, but entered room with wife and daughters, greeted by a distinct smell of sewage. The carpet had debris all over it, had obviously not been vacuumed. An upholstered chair was oddly pushed against the wall right by the room entrance, dirty and smeared with some kind of food on the top. I politely requested a different room, and we were re-assigned. The second room seemed better at first -- no smell and vacuumed carpet, at least. Once settled in, we realized that the bathroom sink did not drain. At all. And the shower drain was so slow that even with a short shower, the water came up around your ankles. When my wife went down for breakfast, she was told, "We're sorry, we don't have any milk this morning." When I joined her, she passed the message along to me. I said, "Really? There's a grocery store right across the street. Can't they send someone to get some milk?" I think the manager must have overheard me, because they did then send someone to get milk. I felt awkward about that. Don't mean to be a complainer. But seems like something they should have noted and taken care of when setting up for breakfast that morning, or the night before, instead of just telling their guests "that's the way it is." We visit Muscatine regularly but will not be staying at this hotel again.

The availability of good condition rooms at a competitive price for the area was very nice. The rooms were incredibly clean, and the service was kind and satisfactory. I also require stable internet access for my job, and this hotel accommodated that need very well. If anything could be improved, it would be the bathtubs - the metal of the drain was a little rusted and there looked to be chipping around some of the tub's cover. Altogether, this Best Western exceeded my expectations, and I was glad I took it. Saved me a lot of money and I didn't have to sacrifice any real quality of my trip.

The room smelled very musty, when we arrived we flushed the toilet and the water came out, we reported it and they never came to check or clean

We did like like anything about our stay at this Best Western. We will be contacting the HQ concerning our stay. I do not recommend this place. Our tub did not drain so we asked that it be addressed. The maintenance person left the door ajar after blowing toilet paper all over our bathroom and out onto the tile portion of our room. We returned to a room Friday afternoon that was not cleaned up after the mess was created and the door was unlocked at 3 pm. I asked the front desk to address the situation and to lock the door this time. I was told there was no one to clean the room but they would have someone coming in within 20 minutes and they would asked a laundry lady to go up and clean it. She told them she did not know how to clean a bathroom. We returned that evening after 9 pm to a room with the door ajar again and the mess not addressed, the dirty towels were not removed and the garbage cans were full. I took pictures and went down to the front desk and asked for towels, told them the door was once again unsecured and the mess was not cleaned. I also asked for garbage bags for the garbage cans so I could change the bags. We were forced to sleep in this filthy room. They told us they cleaned the rooms on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays due to being short staffed and ours was not done. We received a phone call from the front desk 20 minutes later stating our stay that day would be comped. The next day they promised to clean the room for us. Room was never clea
