Wonderful location in Folly Beach! Perfect spot for a short family vacation. Rooms are not fancy, but they have the essentials and the room was clean. Pool was cloudy and pool deck with beach chairs is relatively small. All the towels at the hotel (incl the pool) are very small so bring your own if you can. Chairs directly on the beach are available for a fee from a 3rd party vendor (I think it was $45/day for two chairs and an umbrella). Coffee bar and hotel restaurant were both good. Staff was pleasant throughout the property. Super easy drive to downtown Charleston to enjoy non-beach activities. Cost was reasonable for mid-week in April (around $1,200 for four nights for a basic room with two double beds) and I would stay again at that price point. It would be hard for me to justify spending much more per night given the dated rooms and lack of resort amenities.

The rooms here are nice. Entry hall is open in the Charleston/island side so yiu have nice views of that side just outside your door. (Sunset side) Every room has an ocean view. There was some wind which causes a slight howling sound in the room. (Towels under the door solve this problem.) This is the only hotel on the island, at least the only ocean front, typical hotel. Always expensive. Worth the extra for upper floors. Sometimes the elevators mess up. Otherwise its a classy place. Staff is top notch.

Balconies need chairs, need military discounts. Needs hot tub, priced a little to high

We had the best one day get away

We had a lovely stay for Easter weekend. This hotel is perfectly located. Easy access to the beach, the pier, restaurants, and shopping. The room was comfy and the view was perfect. We would happily stay here again. Highly recommend!

Upon entering the hotel, the front desk staff were extremely polite, friendly, kind, helpful, etc. I was thinking “awesome!” I had a late check in coming from 3 hours away. The first thing I noticed was the room was a bit dingy and old but I figured the hotel had been there a while. Then; the refrigerator still full of someone else’s food. Like, boxes, drinks, cylinder containers. I’m talking FULL. Still, I’m like okay house keeping just forgot the fridge no big deal. Except, I think house keeping skipped the room in general. While the beds were made, the sheets were NOT clean. In fact. There was a plethora of tiny bugs inside the sheets. My boyfriend and I immediately showered, and left. We left the clothes we had on in the bed in the room as to not take any bugs home with us. When we checked out, the lady at the desk was apologetic and friendly, and asked if she could accommodate us with a new room. Upon declining to stay, assured a full refund. The staff were incredibly friendly, Patrick who was working behind desk when I first arrived offered to move his car for me because the lots were full. Customer service seemed to be great, but the condition of the hotel / rooms not so much.

Great location, friendly staff and a clean facility. The laundry services listed are off site and self service.

Front desk so amazing! Mathew and Nico? I think it was who helped with our luggage. Wonderful restaurant, great location! Room was clean & comfortable. Only issue is bathroom outlet didn’t work and balcony lock broken.
