I checked in, and they did not have any record of my reservation, they try to give me a smoking room. I didn’t even know hotel still have smoking rooms?
And then they required a $60 deposit cash only, which I thought was very odd. I ended up leaving before the first night there.

The start of this was a disaster as there is not deposit information online and they said i owe a $60 deposit cash so i told them i dont have cash then they said it would be over card. Then 5 minutes later they said i didnt owe anything. I heard one of the guys say over the phone the deposit was then $100. The room was good but they get a low rating for lying to me and then trying to charge more for the next person.

It’s a fine room for the price. I have no complaints.

Cable did not work, WiFi did not wot, awake all night because of very loud police interaction with guest a couple doors down. Bed is terrible, Pillows are tiny. Overall worst room and experience I’ve had in decades. Will be posting bad reviews anywhere I can

I would like my money refunded since the hotel is really disgusting and a lot of people live on the street. That really made me fear for my life. Really very insecure and dirty in all its places

Room was super hot. I turned off the heat and the ac unit didn’t work, windows don’t opens. Tv didn’t work only one channel would come through. Saw two cockroaches. Floors, mirrors were dirt. Beds had hair in the sheets.

The only reason I stayed here was because I couldn’t remember which hotel I stayed at during my last trip. The Red Roof was a dump. The room was dirty and it seemed like the bare minimum was done to actually clean the room. The mirror had toothpaste stains on it, the bed comforter had stains, and when I took my socks off, it appeared as though I had walked through a floor full of dog hair. There was also some kind of loudspeaker that went off about every hour all night, so I didn’t sleep worth a darn. Thankfully, I remembered where I previously stayed for the next time I have to travel through. I guess I got what I paid for.

Property needed a bit of facelift. Reception area not well kept. Lack of attention to detail.

Towels were filthy, lights were missing, TV in room was left on when arriving and needed to acquire a new remote to turn it off. Check in was exceptionally slow given that everything was prepaid (over 10 minutes from when my ID was given).
2.0
Room smell, lights not working, loud people in parking lot until midnight, no coffee in the morning 5:00 AM.

Should be condemned.
Rotted wood. Bio-stains on walls and door frames. Vomit and piled up trash outside our door. Filthy towels and bed linens.
I left two nights early in hopes Expedia might do the right thing and refund my last two nights as I booked a different place for the rest of our stay- a place that was fit for human lodging.
This location should not remain open. I embarrassed for Expedia for allowing this place to be booked through their app.
Sadly, I’m sure this review will not make a difference. You got paid, and that’s likely all that really matters.

This place is very run down. Nothing gets fixed. The property is terrible and it overpriced. The room is not worth $30 a night. Trust me.

When we showed up to check in we were informed that there were no rooms available even though we had a confirmed reservation. It was very late and searching for another hotel in the area with an available room just wasn’t an option so I asked if there was anything they could do for us and we were offered another room that conveniently just became vacant but there was no heat or ac. I was charged another $85 and then we had to stand outside and wait another 30min for a staff member to put clean linens on the bed and clean the trainwreck of a bathroom before we could finally bring our bags inside and relax. The tv did not work nor did the microwave. The deadbolt lock on the room door was functional but you could clearly tell the room had been broken into previously because of damage to the door jam and the missing door latch (chain lock). The staff was very polite but I wouldn’t recommend staying at this particular spot to anyone. I’ll also be requesting a refund on my initial booking.

This place was gross. I booked it because it was the only one left in town under $300 due to a Mizzou football game. There was no safety lock on our door, there was pink slime in the sink & the shower and the floor hadn't been swept. This was possibly the worst hotel I've sucked it up and stayed in.

it felt un safe and was very dirty and also smoky.

Room was beyond dirty. The mirror had smudges all over it. The curtains were black. The caulk on the sink was black and moldy looking.
The safety lock on the door was not functioning properly.
We ended up leaving and going to another hotel.
Could not stay in that room.

The area around was kind of sketchy and noisy. The key card kept not working.

Cheap motel with few amenities. Located right off the highway. Room had mini frig and microwave. NO Hairdryer available.
Beds cozy. Parking lot well lit.
Bathroom and sink area atrocious. Bathtub appeared dirty, afraid to stand in it. Faucets stained. Electrical plugs loose and falling out of wall. Dirty build up behind doors and debris left behind. Suspicious splatters and stain on walls.
Heard arguments outside and in lobby, including what appeared to be staff.
The cheap rate is not worth it.
We came in town for university basketball and foootball.

dirty, no hot water, noisy, bugs in room

The room was not sanitary (had human fecal smears under the blanket on the bed) and the parking lot was not safe

No shower curtain, and shower looked too scary to use anyways.
Smelled like ant spray in high concentrations so I couldn’t take my pets inside.
Laundry facility was gross.
Just the worst place ever!!
The staff was extremely nice though!!

It took two hours to check in between helping others that just walked in and changing rooms, keys that didn’t work smoking vs non smoking. Two hours! It’s not Taj Mahal though. Units inside are in bad shape, looks like certain lords just use them for trading, things are broken, dirty etc. I couldn’t figure out why they choose to help some vs others, it was unknown. For that long of a time I observed things. I watched them give away rooms to people who are just walk ins but need more rooms vs letting people down who had a reservation and just blaming it with a flat face to Expedia! Probably wins the worst hotel in my life so far and I have seen some stuff…

Unclean, unsafe, out dated poor lighting in parking lot

Flies and roaches in the bathroom. Holes on the wall. The bathtub had a black ring around the tub. Somebody pulled a shelf off the wall, so there was no place to hang anything. Something spilled all over the walls. Hotels.com offers no refund We had no choice to get out of there. Slept in our clothes. Left before sunrise.

Room was dirty. Key cards wouldn’t work. Tried 12 different cards finally housekeeping let us in. Returned to the room at 12:30am and had to get hotel assistance TV didn’t work and no one to fix it. Looked like blood spot on pillowcase. Very noisy, lot of people late night. Many permanent residents.

First of all there was no remote for the TV. The sink and tub do not have stoppers. So forget taking a bath or being able to put in your contacts! The towels were stained. The air runs constantly and is super noisy. When I woke in the morning I saw there was vomit on the wall and curtains. Couldn’t get out of this hellhole quick enough. Oh and the drawers were disgusting… opened to look for a TV remote. Also don’t need a hanging rack because there are no hangers. Worse place to stay ever. Blackout curtains don’t block out all the lighting they have. I’m sure it needs all the lighting to maintain a safe parking lot! If I didn’t have an earache and headache I would have got back in my car and drove! Of course had to prepay for this when I booked online and there was a no refund policy.

The room seemed reasonably clean but run-down. Part of the secondary safety lock mechanism was missing, so the room just had the single latch. Window unit A/C was not very effective. At check-in, did not have 2 bed room I requested, so I was forced to take a single king. Fortunately, I ended up traveling alone. Bed was kind of hard, but it was a bed.

As soon as we opened the door, we immediately left. The room smelled liked someone had passed away. The place should be leveled

I stayed here before & it was fine but a year later it was surrounded by random men that made me feel uncomfortable. I had to go upstairs in the stairway with men scattered around just hanging out. It was loud. Booked several months ago as non-smoking but was put in smoking which had a covered up floral scent. And the air barely worked so it was hot. Tan out of toilet paper on the first night.

It was a great location, however, it needed a thorough cleaning and the lady checking folks in was not the friendliest. The young girl was very helpful.

We booked a room with two beds for Homecoming at Mizzou... the room was not cleaned... beds were unmade. the hotel gave us a single room which is NOT what we wanted but that was all they had left on this busy weekend.

I only went to this motel because the pictures looked like it was a nice place. The only reason we stayed in the smoking room that we didn't request was because it was 2am. If it'd not been so late I would've left because of how big of a dump it was. It was dirty, there were holes in the wall, the towels looked they'd been used as grease rags and piss staines on them. Luckily the hand towels looked clean enough to dry off with. I will not be staying at a Red Roof in ever again. Very disappointed with how horrible this place was.

Rooms were dirty and not ready for check in. Neighborhood is sketchy at best. Needs to be torn down and build a new one in a better location.
