I was totally comfortable and felt safe during my stay. Will stay again.

After settling in for the evening the hole above the shower began leaking, pouring with water. The front desk was helpful but having to pack everything up with a toddler made for a hard night. I was issued a 40.00 credit… hardly seems worth the inconvenience of having to change rooms and be on hold for 20 minutes. But I took what I could get.

Worst hotel ever. Very rude. Lobby is locked at 8:00am. Weird place

The frount dest was very nice when we got in. And the room was very clean. It smelled and looked clean. Will definitely be staying with them again.

Tried to get checked in little after 530 thinking the room would be ready but the lady didn't give me the keys till almost 7pm saying its not ready. Its supposed to be ready to having a reserved reservation and still expect same time check-out which seems to be not fair.

We have stayed here many times over the years and in the last 4 months it has become TERRIBLE. The is our 4th stay in as many months and will be our last. You book a certain size of room and then when you arrive receive a MUCH smaller lower quality room. This visit was to have a queen bed. We booked inside the hotel and were given a room outside in the alley with a full sized bed. The women checking us in Shye gave no information on how to find the hidden room that is not even big enough for 2 people and 2 pieces of luggage. I had to return to reception repeatedly trying to find the room and Shye could not be bothered to provide adequate information. There was no parking and no elevator so we were left dragging our luggage all over at midnight. Sad to see a reliable hotel become so terrible!

I chose the economy room and that is what I got. The room was next to the street where people used the path for a bathroom behind the snow berm just outside my room. It would probably be helpful to have some sort of security or at least staff to clean it up.

Front staff very helpful and personable. Upgraded us to a room that was more suitable at no extra charge because they had availability. Shuttle service was on time, courteous, and very convenient. Great hotel for an overnight stay. Only about 4 to 5 miles from downtown Anchorage and very close to the airport

Good place to stay, some mileage on the rooms and facilities, but its clean. I have stayed here several times over the years, ive yet to stay in the main building so my experience is from the annex buildings. Lobby is nice, w breakfast .

Not the greatest hotel but it great for me. It’s easy in and easy out close to the airport. Room are clean and the bed is clean.

Very quiet neighborhood with several food joints within easy walking. Distance. Convenience store and a fuel island right across the street for those with a rental car. Good value for travelers especially with the lower winter rates in effect.

It was cold in my room. Then there was a mice in my room. And I went to tell the from desk lady and she made it seem like it was ok. Saying oh it’s just a shrew it’s not gonna hurt you. Didn’t offer to send someone out to get it out. I’ll never stay here again

When I arrived to check in I waited while the receptionist took 3 different phone calls before even acknowledging I was standing there. I travel with a hearing Service Dog (which was indicated on the reservation). I was downgraded to a less expensive room because of the “dog” but not refunded and portion of the reservation. When I asked the receptionist about the room change I was told that she could cancel my reservation without a refund if I didn’t want to stay in the downgraded room.

Stayed here a few times. About right for its cost. Some days better than others. But overall, not bad if you need a quick place to crash and a quick and simple morning bite.

The first room I was assigned in the original rooms was noticeably older not very welcoming. Then did not have a working heater. Attendant brought a portable heater and gave me the option of being assigned another room. I was assigned a room on third floor in main building. Very welcoming and comfortable. The bed and pillows were very comfortable! It wound up being a very pleasant stay. I will stay again if I’m in the area.

They appear to be upgrading the rooms. Things looked cleaner. Unfortunately, weather was bad and airport cancellations left the hotel busy. My room wasn't ready at check in time. It's was frustrating.

Spenard has a difficult reputation, but this was a wonderful experience for me.

I was right on the corner in the annex so was a little noisy but the hotel cant control traffic other than that tho stay was great

The noise was so loud I had trouble sleeping through the night - even with headphones on. My room door did not seal shut all the way and felt generally unsafe. I found out while leaving that the building I was roomed in doubles as a homeless shelter - information that would have been nice to have prior to booking. Staff was great and facility was mostly clean.

Excellent stay free upgrade for no reason would not hesitate to recommend. Excellent customer service.

A little less static and recording would be appreciated. If you could leave the wooden box in the closet I would greatly appreciate it

Puffin Inn is always a great thing for your buck, close to the airport friendly staff free shuttle pick up and drop off, or you can park your vehicle there for free for up to three weeks if you stay the night there. I stay here often
