Friendly staff

Checked in and left the same day , rooms have mold , broken acs , ceiling falling down . The customer service was absolutely terrible traveling with2 infants and a toddler and weren’t able to stay due to the conditions of the property

Several of the lamps had not light bulbs, There was no umber sign on the room and one of the outlets would not hold a plug. They fell right out. There was no breakfast. Price was good, but was obvious was it was a lower price.

The smell and uncleanness

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!! The first room we had had no A/C; second one had a TV that didn't work; bathroom fan didn't work; mold in bathroom; electric fixture had a broken plate - open wires; furnishings looked to be 50 years old. We cut our stay short and went to another hotel. Worst excuse for a hotel I've ever seen.

I liked that I checked out

I was visiting my grandfather on a last minute trip & this hotel was the only pet friendly hotel I could find that didn’t require an ADA certification. So, for that, we were thankful. Aside from being pet friendly the experience was less than desirable. The property and rooms were filthy. From water damaged walls and ceilings to blood on multiple surfaces. There was trash from previous guests under the beds and nothing was wiped down. The tv was broken and the check-in/check-out service was extremely slow (when there even was a front desk agent). The vending machines look like they were taken out of an 80’s horror movie’s abandoned town & weren’t functional. I took pictures of the disgusting room. The only reason we stayed was because of our puppy. If we didn’t have the dog we would have spent three times as much money on a better hotel. Never again.

I actually did not stay as there were no non-smoking on the first floor. I don’t smoke and I can’t climb stairs; no elevator. Desk attendant was less than helpful.

Room was clean. Check in sketchy. One of the hall doors to outside towards the street was open the entire time which was concerning.

Only one towel. No maid service to replace use towels, make beds,etc. Room was dirty.

Two of the lamps did not work. Toilet paper holder falling out of wall. Socket by sink didn't work so couldn't use curling iron. People next door partied outside door until 3am. Did not feel safe. Room seemed clean and bed OK. Just things were falling apart and not a safe place to be.

Expedia offered me a king-size bed, when I arrived at the hotel it was not available, it offered me a hotel on colonial beach and that was not true, the shower in the hotel bathroom had a water leak that wet the entire bathroom floor. And finally I made the reservation for Friday, April 21, and by the way they made it for Friday, May 5 to charge me an extra to the reservation that was already paid. I feel like my money was stolen, they offered me a room with breakfast and when I went to breakfast there was nothing. Not even the dishes at all. A real scam.

I really like upstairs the privacy is a plus

There was hair on the floors. Something red and organic on the edge of the shower/tub enclosure. The towels were thin from too many washes and were stained as well. I asked for additional towels. The reaction I got made me think I Bobhad just asked for a free night’s stay. I called the front desk twice to ask a question, but nobody answered. I had to walk to the office to get the information I was looking for. The Days Inn in Tappahannock is not the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, but it certainly is close. I have family in the area and visit often. I will never stay at this Days Inn again.

Mold on the ceiling of the shower. No working ice machine. Bugs found in the bathroom.

Everything was fine the staff very friendly as well as there other guests.

The room was reasonably clean. The bed was the worst we have ever experienced in a hotel. Should go to the trash as soon as possible.

Cheap affordable place to stay. Could smell the curry being cooked. And cigarette smoke from I'm not sure where.

1st room attempt: tv not working; room telephone dead. Walked to lobby to request another room. Receptionist offered to go to my room to try to get television to work, as there was no one else to call for service. I requested another room. 2nd room: telephone dead. Walked to lobby to inquire about telephone. This same receptionist acknowledged knowing that the hotel’s telephone system was out of order and apologized. Television stations advertised online and in room were unavailable after checking into room with a working television Surprisingly disappointing, very much so.

Kind of a tired old hotel that needs some repairs. For example I plugged in my phone, outlet did not work and when I pulled out the plug the whole outlet came off the wall. But you get what you pay for and if you do not mind things like pealing plaster, falling paint, and cigarette holes in bed coverings (not smoking room)...ok for a night.

Basic expectations were not met. Door lock didn’t work properly. Room phone didn’t work. Only one unused electrical outlet worked, and it was underneath the desk. I had to get on hands and knees to plug in my phone to charge overnight and use as an alarm clock, and then again in the morning for the coffee maker.

Room was clean but a little damp and thus a slight musty odor. The tv was a bit tricky to sort out, a fair price for a fair room.

Property was a mess. Rooms dated with dirty carpets. No coffee or breakfast in the morning. Poor front desk attendant in the morning.

The first person I met made me feel completely welcome. The room was clean and welcoming and I have zero complaints. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Great price and close by to almost anything you may need or require. I will definitely go back.

Dirty, run down and cheap blankets. Toilet paper holder falling off wall and burns in blankets. I pillows where flat, felt like you were lying flat on your back. Very uncomfortable but Convenient and cheap.

The room was dirty, pieces of trash on the floor, the bathtub was also full of dirt. The fire alarm started going off (there was no fire) for 20 minutes at 9am…. (We had only gotten about 4 hours sleep then awoke to an alarm they couldn’t turn off) after getting woken up we decided to pack our stuff and check out

This property was in complete disorder and need of repair. Holes in the wall, smoke detector hanging from the wires and not working, desk was broken and unstable, and general dirt all over the place. I checked out almost as soon as I checked in. Told them to refund my money which they have not done yet.

The property is not fit for humans, no smoking room smelled of smoke, bedspreads had obvious cigarette burns in them, tv did not work, the sink was full of dirty water and was not attached to the counter, the bolts were laying on the floor, I wish I would have thought to take pictures! Never again, asked for a refund!

Terrible My wife cried most of the night with the cat urine even after removing all bed linnen and putting out the door in the hallway.We are on disability and have booked this loccation for 2 nights with a no deposit gurantee that we choose.We travelled 11 hours from ont Canada on what was to be our first trip since covid.No tv no phone in the room no coffee kettle.The back window screen was ripped open and what looked like a break in.We informed front desk on exchanging rooms Sunny who did not want to share his last name stated were not happy leave.My wife again at 3 am had enough crying she attempted to explain to her .Here is a blank paper write down your complaints or leave.This is so wrong we feel and believe health unit violations and dangers lurk .We will speak to as many officials on what has happened here Please do your research google trip adviser on there hotel.Its all there All complaits.Hotel.com i believe your own reviews show incorrect 8.3 rating. This is so misguiding to people like us on disability to be using your service.
