I have stayed at numerous HIE properties in both the UK and US. It is definitely my preferred brand at this price point and I believe that this particular property represents the brand very well. I have previously worked in rhe hospitality industry.
The offering is fairly standard and the room and breakfast were both good and the parking was easy.
I received a great welcome from Zac who I also saw hard at work clearing tables at breakfast the following morning.
Upon leaving, Victor asked if I was happy with everything during my stay - which I was. I believe that taking a genuine interest in the guests' experience should be an essential part of the process and it is sad when reception staff are either not bothered or don't for fear of receiving a negative response.

Overall, the hotel is good and the staff cannot be faulted. Nothing was too much trouble.
However, the accommodation was not so good. The room was big enough and a proper bathroom, no loose curtains flapping about, an easily accessible shower. Toiletries were good (apart from thin, cheap toilet paper, false economy!) and all provided.
There was no heating in the bathroom and a huge air conditioning unit in the room. This was very noisy and in the end we turned it off because we couldn’t sleep. In the morning, the temperature was 15deg. I asked at the desk if we could have a heater, which was provided immediately and the person who brought it to our room even changed a flickering light bulb although we hadn’t said anything about that. Unfortunately the next morning we found the heater did not work. If all the rooms have the same heating arrangement I would not recommend staying there.
Breakfasts were basic, not a huge amount of choice but more than adequate.

All the staff were very welcoming and friendly, slight issue with shower but was remedied immediately, room was clean , in fact spotless, spacious and bed was very comfortable.

Plenty of parking available. Greeted immediately and told reception staff are available 24/7. Tea, coffee, milk etc on the reception desk to restock your room as desired. Very comfortable room with excellent shower. Kettle and beverages available. Plenty of breakfast choice which was replenished before it ran out.

Our first stay at this hotel. Very impressed and will return but our first cup of coffee after arriving at our room tasted horrible and had to be dumped. The kettle had not been cleaned. Rinsing and boiling remedied the problem and coffee then tasted normal.

Good staff attitude and manner. Had heating suddenly switch to cold air and a portable appliance was delivered and plugged in within 30 mins and the main heating isolated - good fast response. All clean and fresh with really good breakfast.

4 disabled parking spaces is insufficient for a hotel of this size. More yellow lines needed around the building to stop VW dealership parking and blocking guests cars in.
Some breakfast items had run out well before the end of service whilst bacon and sausages were still piled high. What then happens to that?
Carpet and sofa were stained in my room. The lighting was inadequate; a bigger central ceiling light would have been welcome; various lamps isn't enough.
Housekeeping was exceptional. My praises to this hardworking team. The standard was impressive.
Receptionists were friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Rated excellent by me.

Nice hotel with comfy beds and decent value.
My room was over the air con units outside which were noisy. Breakfast was over crowded and had to eat in a conference room. Hotel booked a taxi into town for us which ripped us off, £25 for a three and a half mile trip.

Room was fine plenty of space and bed was hard but comfy. Food was absolutely awful. Nearest restaurant is Beefeater but you need to cross 2 main roads to get there.

The hotel in Frankland Road was as welcoming as always. Staff were friendly and quick to respond to any requests. Great breakfast offerings!
It would have been good to have found an EV Charging facility on site, rather than to be told "There is one someone near here, I believe."

Very good location weel connected with the motorway. Excellent Breakfast. Pay attention for the parking during the weekend. too busy.

Hotel easy to find and check in was quick and easy. Rooms were very clean, breakfast was good quality and plenty with a varied selection. The only downside for me was the disabled accessibility room was the furthest away from the lift which was quite a walk.

This is a nice hotel with good room layout a comfortable bed, nice hot shower and clean room. As an American, the shower was very good but the design of the toilet bowl did not flush very well, I am guessing because it has no cyclonic action to help remove #2 items. Also, the AC unit kept shutting down, I am guessing because of maintenance, as the AC unit is a very good brand. Overall, a surprisingly good hotel with nice attentive staff and a very good breakfast.
