ibis Lorient Centre Gare

We chose this hotel for its proximity to the train station. It was a five minute walk from the station to the hotel. Except for crossing a one lane road, the entire walk was covered so we di not get wet from the rain. The hotel seemed clean and well maintained. The room was a bit on the small size. If you like having a lot of room to spread out then you may be disappointed. We had two small suitcases and it was fine. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. They happily gave me directions to a restaurant and other sites, They also printed up some documents that I needed. The wi-fi in the room and lobby worked well. The lobby had computer wor stations available to use. The included breakfast was nice. It included cheeses, pastries, yogurt, fruits, cereals, coffee and tea. Overall we were happy with our one night stay. For the price and convenient location it cannot be beat. Just a note that is not related to this hotel. Our purpose to travel to Lorient was to see the Keroman U-boat base. We arrived at Keroman on a Thursday only to find out that tours of the main K3 pens are only offered on Sundays. I'm just putting this here in case any of you wanted to visit this site so that you won't be disappointed as we were.
