Holiday Inn Express Chester - Racecourse by IHG

The room was nice and spacious and overlooked the racecourse which was nice! The staff were all great and super friendly. Breakfast had more choice than I was expecting so was pleasantly surprised with it. Parking was free with us being there for the races which was also unexpected. Great location for the races, we will definitely stay here again. The only thing that let it down was how hot it was without air conditioning in the heatwave. There is a fan in the room but it's not very powerful, fortunately we brought our own from home too just in case. The reception area has air con and it lovely and cool, it's just a shame they didn't extend that to the rooms. Or even some of them that you could pay to upgrade to!

Lovely few days in Chester. Fabulous location to the town Beautiful grounds Room lovely and clean Shampoo and shower gel lovely and creamy Fan was very useful during the hot weather Breakfast was very nice Just wish it was a king size bed not a double Would defo stay again

This Race Course branch of the Chain does everything it says on the tin. Helpful staff, clean rooms, great breakfast choice. Having to fork out for parking is unwelcoming. Outside of race days whats the point.... a few miles down the road the member of the chain doesn't charge. So I go there next time. Otherwise no beefs.

We were given a friendy welcome on arrival and an overview of of the facilities. The hotel was spotlessly clean, the room although not huge was well thought out and did not feel cramped. Breakfast was great, staff very pleasant / helpful and there were plenty of options, hot food all fresh and tasty. My only negative was that the mattress was soft on the edges, get close and feel like you may slip out! I would recommend and will have no hesitation in staying at this hotel again.
