The property was not as it stated it would be. This is more of a hotel than a resort. Staff was great, property was terrible.

Loved the staff. They were super nice and accommodating. Wish the restaurant had more choice. The beach was very rocky couldn’t really swim there , but good for going on walks

The entire place was breathtaking, the manager and her staff fabulous the most helpful staff I have ever seen. I highly recommend this place for a restful and breathtaking visit. Sincerely from the bottom of our hearts Thank You so much!!!!!!!

Stayed at The Palms at Pelican Cove despite some negative reviews online. (Considering you can't please everyone). The overall facility was nice--staff was extremely friendly and helpful with whatever our needs. Disappointment was the seaweed on beachfront. Could not get in the ocean and nothing was mentioned of this seasonal occurrence on any travel site, etc. Would not have gone to this resort if we'd known ahead of reservation. The buildings, room and grounds need some TLC and noticeable repairs, which, since we seemed to be the only ones staying there, could of been addressed. TV was out the entire week we were there, which was another disappointment. Overall-if you want a quiet, smaller, centrally located-on the beach resort, this is an OK resort. If repairs were done-upkeep kept up and no seaweed it would be a great resort.

The staff was friendly. The property was beautiful. Only one restaurant but the food (dinner: chicken fettuccine alfredo/breakfast: waffles with Strawberries) I got was really good but my husband wasn't a fan of his food (dinner: steak had no flavor and the potatoes were cold/ breakfast: eggs, toast, home fries and asked for 2 pancakes but one got 1). Housekeeping did our room twice out of the 3 full days we was there, did a great job. The tv (cable) did not work the whole time we was there. I ask to have it fixed but the maintenance guy was off on Sunday, he would be back on Monday but never did anything about it to fix it. We didn't worry about it took much. We arrived on a Saturday, the schedule said the fire dancers would be there but the lady at the desk said they wouldn't be, just on Wednesday, we was leaving Wednesday so we didn't get to see the show. Overall experience was good.

View was amazing, resort was clean and orderly. Cable TV wasn’t working, nothing to watch after dark. freshly painted floors were slippery when it was wet. The sliding patio door didn’t lock.

The friendliest, sweetest and most helpful staff of any place I’ve ever stayed at. Our room was tastefully decorated and spotless clean. Just steps from the beach! Very quiet and relaxing. The restaurant and bar and pool area is beautiful! Food was excellent! I saw many complaints about slow service. Part is simply Island time! Those people need to relax and enjoy! If you need fast go to McDonalds. Wednesday is Caribbean night. Moko Jumbie and fire dancers. What a marvelous treat! Entertainment many nights as well. New management took over recently and they are doing an AMAZING job! The double whammy of hurricanes and Covid took its toll on the island but it is very well along in recovery. We stayed at the Palms in 2018, and the improvement now in 2023 is wonderful. I can’t emphasize enough what a pleasure spending 10 days there was. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!!!

interior of the room was a an improvement from last time. As always some employees go above an beyond to take care of the Customers, but others could be happy if they don't have any customers. The bathroom facilities need an improvement, Not having hot water in the shower was not nice and having the stick of the shower faucet falling all the time was not amusing. Time has no meaning if office open at 7 AM and closes at 9PM, it should be as advertised. Reported a Safety Hazzard in my balcony that almost caused me to fall from the second floor when the Varanda broke because the rotten wood and still no reply or interest to know more details.

Would not recommend, needs a ton of work. Beach is very rocky.

The palms is a very nice place to stay for the price. The room itself was awesome. Had a balcony with two beach chairs that overlooked the ocean. The room had two queen beds that were soooo comfortable and clean. The room also had a fridge, freezer, a microwave, a tv that had good channels but was pretty fuzzy. The only thing I don’t like about the room was there was no outlets to charge your phone. The only one we could find was in the bathroom which was a little inconvenient. The bathrooms were very clean and provided everything you needed for your stay. The restaurant on the property has such good food! BUT expect to have very slow service and wait atleast an hour for your food to come out every time. If your looking for something more relaxing and low key, this is definitely the place, but if you want more of like a lively, fun experience, you might want to stay somewhere closer to the boardwalk or something.

It’s own private beach having breakfasts, lunch and dinner. The different events every night and the Mother’s Day event was beautiful.

There was mold on the bathroom ceiling and walls. Dead baby flies on the lamp shades. The light bulb for our patio light was burnt out and I requested a new bulb twice and they never replaced the old bulb. The lock for the patio door was corroded and rusty. The grounds could have been better kept. We only ate once at the the restaurant. Our food was served cold. Bathroom located in pool area was disgusting! Pool tiles missing and the pool was dirty. Location for the hotel was amazing! Management should pay better attention to detail! Needs some TLC, if so The Palms could be a great place.

This property is overrated. It is not 3-1/2 Stars. The rooms are clean, cool and well maintained but the value declines from then on! The staff was completely clueless about my VIP upgrades. Also, not too friendly. I received NO champagne. I asked… the attendant knew nothing about the offering. I had to request the advertised upgrade after seeing my room #29. Minimal Ocean view. The sheets are below college grade. The wifi was weak in the B building. There are no telephones in the rooms. The cable TV doesn’t have Sport channels. I couldn’t watch the NBA playoffs! There is NO GYM. The beach was never combed for the entire week. There was seaweed everywhere. Most of the beach is very rocky with coral 10-15feet from the shore.

Had to ask for coffee at front desk every day. Can of coffee in room 3rd day since we used 2 pods a day, but no filters and front desk said person that had access to get filters was too busy. Also said they were out of coffee pods & no filters so… Had to go to front desk to ask for creamer every day. Some days there was house keeping and some days not. Intoxicated waitress took drink order 3 times but never brought drinks. Bartender came out and took order then served our drinks. Dinner order was given 3 times before bartender came out to ask if we got our dinner. We told her that waitress did not need to be at work that someone needed to check on her. Bartender said she tried to send her home but waitress wouldn’t leave. There was only my friend & I at one table and a party of 4 at another table in the entire bar/restaurant area. Finally my food arrived & waitress asked if anything else. I said my friend’s dinner…. She turned around to the tray behind her & picked up my friend’s dinner and then placed it on the table next to us in front of someone already eating their plate ???? On line said pool 24/7 but sign at pool said 7a-10p but bartender advised it was 8a-8p. Came back from a day out just before kitchen closed but couldn’t order anything because too close to closing time for kitchen. No other options but a food truck at a gas station. Beds were extremely comfortable. Air conditioning kept up. Power & water stayed on the entire stay. Great views!

They had great live entertainment food was good and beautiful ocean view.

Live music and the Fire Dancer at the restaurant were great. One of the nicer beaches with shade as well.

This is an older resort that could use some updating, but they work hard to keep it clean. Any issues we had were addressed immediately. The fire dancers were a lot of fun.

Crystal the front desk lady was so nice and friendly! The fire dancers and jumbies were excellent. Other than that just slept in room and left the resort every day. We went to bar twice and service was awful, waited for atleast hour for a club sandwich and finally cancelled order not Island time just slow. Rooms were fine but not clean, sand on chairs outside and food on balcony, rooms were fine though. Pool was nice, bathrooms at pool were awful needed some updates.

Went for a nice rest away from the cold! The Palms delivered! Right on the beach. Restaurant, Bar, Pool, Ocean, Entertainment all on premises! The staff was accommodating and friendly!

Our bed was broken when we arrived to the room. When we told the front desk they said, no problem you can switch after dinner. Our dinner never happened. After waiting 30 mins for assistance I had to ask for a drink. They took our food order and then 2 hours later after watching everyone else receive their food we asked what was going on. Turns out they never put our order in. No problem, except they didn’t have the food we ordered anymore. They were out of a couple items actually. We left to go to our room and asked for a plate to heat up some left over vegetable, but we’re told “No. we don’t like giving plates out”. The front desk lady made us wait 15 mins before bringing us to the new room, which had hair clumps in the shower and rust running down the back of the door. At this point we didn’t care. We were starving and tired. When we checked out the manager gave ZERO concern about what happened to us. Told us we broke the bed bc “I check each room before people are checked in”, and offered no compensation. We also didn’t get our sparkling wine we were supposed to get for being a prefers hotels.com member.

The room was decent. The kitchen/bar part of this place was severely lacking and not worth your time because you arent worth theirs.

We have stayed at this resort for many years. The hurricane damage from Maria and then the pandemic have really hurt this facility. The staff is friendly and very welcoming. The rooms were very clean and well cared for. Rooms appear to being updated for wear-and-tear/weather damage. The restaurant service is definitely on "island time" - be prepared to wait.

The property was beautiful. As with any older oceanside resort you will notice wear and tear from the salt water and general seaside conditions. Our room was clean but did show signs of wear (nothing we have not experienced at other older oceanfront properties) The balcony off of room #39 was phenomenal and the room accommodations were perfect. The staff at the resort were very friendly and accommodating, always available for help with questions. I HIGHLY recommend checking out the Caribbean night on Wednesday nights, the fire dancers and Moko Jumbi stilt walkers were so much fun! The main issue we experienced was that on the island (not just this property) it is quite common for restaurants to be out of ingredients. When dining at the Palms all of the food we did have was good, but each time we went they were out of at least 3-4 main dishes and appetizers on the menu.

We were here for 5 days in February and we had a wonderful stay. Our room, the resort restaurant and pool area exceeded our expectations, clean, comfortable and very relaxing. The entire staff was very friendly and accommodating. The shoreline along the resort was absolutely stunning with its trees, plants, flowers and sandy beach. We will definitely stay here again!

Very worn looking No beach Understaffed Everyone disappointed

Property has fallen on hard times since storms and Covid. Running the hotel on a shoestring and most amenities are missing or broken. Staff very pleasant and as helpful as they can be.

The beds were very comfortable and the rooms spacious. The staff were very friendly and doing their best while operating on a shoestring! This property needs a major cash infusion or it will continue to go downhill! Definitely not as advertised
