The female receptionist was very slow at checking in and did not get the keycard sorted out properly. She had no interest in doing her job. The lifts were out of order from checking in to checking out. This meant guests had to use several flights of stairs to get to the room.

Good motorway hotel. Room was a little dated but clean and well maintained. Bathroom was really nice and well maintained.

This hotel is a bit tired and in need of a revamp. I would not rush to stay there again.

Was expecting more from Ramada but Rude un friendly reception staff more concerned with chatting to each other.
The room was dated and dirty. Apart from that it was great not.

Easy to find. Good parking. Quick check in. Slight traffic noise in background but not seriously bad. Restaurant closed on Sunday-pity the menu looked quite good. But quality Indian restaurant about 300metres down the road. Overall a good budget hotel for a night stay.

Very good staff . Gagan was very helpful and very friendly

I had a room on the first floor and was continuously disturbed from doors banging closed, hence a terrible nights stay.

We arrived to be given the last double room available. In entering the room it became clear that it hadn’t been cleaned from the previous guest.
The bed sheets were old and dirty, with hair in the bed and the room itself was not fit for a new set of guests.
My boyfriend went and spoke to the reception desk and was told by the gentleman (used in the loosest possible term) that they couldn’t clean the room or change the sheets so we had to put up with it like it was. My boyfriend told him that we wouldn’t be staying if they couldn’t make it fit for guests. His role was ‘well you don’t be getting your money back’. So we left.
Not impressed and certainly won’t be recommending this hotel again.

Absolutely awful, didn’t even stay the night. I checked out as quickly as possible and found an alternative hotel. Even the room made me itch. It was like a badly run hostel.

very small room and old furniture no proper heating.

Hotel quite dated and basic but this was reflected in price. Went for dinner in restaurant downstairs but sat for close to 30 minutes without having an order taken so ended up leaving.

I left my iPad charger at the hotel and despite a couple of calls and the promise of a call back I heard nothing, Clearly nobody is interested or could be bothered.

It needed up dating, stains on the chair and carpet, toilet flush was the plastic buttons not a cover- just tired

Hotel clean enough and rooms ok but there is a green light in the ceiling above the bed and its not subtle. You can literally read a book by it and there is no way of turning it off (so i was told by reception). It may be for safety reasons but it meant i didnt sleep

What a terrible experience while staying,
Room Heating out of order. Duvets are thinner than blankets. Dirty carpets, stain on pillows and walls. Broken doors, wash room rough condition. Imagine When spoken with staff they know already coz loads people complained before me for similar issues. Simply blamed management and said they doing nothing for improvement. It was unpleasant , uncomfortable stay. Never gonna book again. 👎
Scam

This hotel is awful. The carpet was taped together and filthy. There was toilet paper all in the toilet. It was so depressing

We’ve stayed at Ramada hotels for years and the gordano services at J19 of M5 is by far the best as we’ve stayed weeks at a time on business. We’ve stayed at this particular hotel on nights for work too and the first night was no problem and the bed was great however this past 2 nights we’ve been given visibly knackered rooms from water leaks (this latest one being from above) and the mattress was ‘tired’ on both occasions to say the least. We’re off to Hong Kong for 3 weeks and are now thinking we need to look for another hotel so that we’re not lumbered with a dodgy below acceptable room on the other side of the planet. Come on Ramada this is pretty poor quality and it lies with no one else other than the management who will probably blame someone below them who they also tell not to spend money.

Upon arriving we were greeted with rats wondering in the front of the hotel. They were have fun for sure but my colleagues was petrified. Won't book again.

Cleaning must improve along with a couple of repairs and maintenance

First room we were given the lighting was poor, the main light kept going on and off and shower head was small, however the service was good as they then gave us a different room but the room itself stank of smoke and the A/C was broken and was not working and shower was dirty and had to clean it before use. The timer plugged in was ticking all night could not stop it and alot of noise on and off from above.

I booked a room, it was on the 3rd floor and I have a bad leg and I was told whilst pressing the button for the lift that it does not work and I have to walk up, I did that and the key didn’t work so I had to come down and get a new key.
The corridors were dirty, in the room the aircon squeezed whilst it was on so I had to have no heating the toilet roll holder was hanging off and the button to flush the toilet was broken off. Not what to expect from a hotel of this class, I spoke to reception and they said there was nothing they could do. My knee was extremely sore after going up and down the stairs.

Was very nice , quiet , and a heater in the room was a nice extra touch in this weather

It was a lovely entrance and lovely staff however my room was freezing even with the heating in max and the electrical heater they placed in the room and multiple
Layers on in bed I still woke up
Shivering. It was so uncomfortable due to the cold. However I couldn’t complain as it was early hours of the morning and I had work the following day and therefore had to rush out in the morning but also felt as if other rooms would be the same.
It’s good if it’s just somewhere to get your head down. It is easy to get food delivered too.

The room was a long way from decent.
Run down and had many damages. The door didnt close properly.
On the last night there was a leak in the room from the roof.
Allthough the bed was comfortable which is the main positive.
The menu for dinner was very basic, decided against it. The breakfast was nice but very very limited.
This hotel served a purpose but would not stay again. Unfortunately.

Room & bathroom clean and in good order mostly.
Good breakfast and staff fairly friendly.
But towel rail in bathroom boiling hot and constantly on , why ? Such a waste of energy! Lights on in unused rooms and halls , crazy waste . Please be more eco !

Probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. A/C heating did not work. Shower did not have any hot water. Wi-if signal is not fit for purpose. Dirty finger marks on the wall. Slot for key card to turn on lights did not work correctly. All in all rubbish.

Communal areas seem well kept and look nice enough. Corridors to rooms had stains all over carpets. Room felt like throw together of furniture/wall colours/flooring, was dated and in poor condion. Rusty soap holders in shower. Ordered drink from bar and the glass had crust around the top with a dead fly in the bottom. Stayed at the Ramada in Leeds previously which was a million times better than this place. Disappointed in all.

The stay was ok, however everything in the hotel feels old and run down and the hotel overall needs maintenance. There were panels off the walls in the corridor , the floor in the bedroom had pieces broken off, the curtain was partially broken and the walls had been half patched in the corner but not been repainted (and the patch was not recent). It’s better than not having a hotel but would not choose it again .

The hotel is very shabby and in need of some renovation. It seems old and tired and in need of some tlc. The staff were nice though and everyone was clean.
