Hotel Restaurant Hirschen

Schönes altes Haus, saubere Zimmer inkl. Kühlschrank und Safe, gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, sehr gutes und reichhaltiges Frühstück.

Einziger Verbesserungsvorschlag: Es wäre schön gewesen, wenn die 6 Konfitüren beim Frühstück (ich vermute selbstgemacht) angeschrieben gewesen wären. So wussten wir nicht was es ist.

It is a historic place with great Swiss architectue, old wooden beams, etc. and lots of Swiss charm. But, the room had an up to date bathroom, great water pressure, comfy beds, plenty of storage. The breakfast each morning was everything you could want - including a fancy coffee machine. The best part is the restaurant in the basement. We went one evening just because it was convenient and we were a bit tired, but it was the best meal we experienced in Switzerland. Great food, top notch service. Location-wise it is off the main strip - which was fine for us. It is maybe a 15-20 minute stroll to Interlaaken Ost.

A lovely authentic Swiss hotel. Lovely atmosphere. Very helpful staff. Food very good. A 12 minute walk from train station, or a few minutes be bus. Bus stop beside hotel.

Breakfast was plenty and very good. Loved the various fresh bakeries. The airconditioning in the room was a good idea considering the end of june heat.

Our room (16) was above the kitchen, so we smelled the entire daily menu. View to a small back garden, neigbours balconies and windows, some tortoise.....not what we expected. Be aware from a very low ceiling: we are small, just around 163-165cm and my palm could touch the ceiling. Was a bit claustophobic but the end of the day we used to it. Nothing in the minibar or the "wellcome" goodies were free. We came from Scotland, where hotels similar to this offer you an arseanal of biscuits, tea and coffe for free. Anyway, it is what it is. We didnt spent too much time in the room, we came for the outdoor and that was well worth it!
