I loved my experience at the property, phnom penn surprised me how beautiful is all near by walking distance,

Hotel is nice with a beautiful pool.
Has interesting views to a next pagoda you can understand more about monks life.

Large room with very comfortable bed and great hot shower. Huge views from the balcony on the 9th floor. The staff was excellent and the breakfast superb. It was easy to walk from the hotel to explore, but when a car or tuk tuk was needed they were there rapidly. Great experience!

Beautiful older hotel with the most spacious room and the most kindest/friendliest, hospitable staff. They aim to please each guest no matter what is requested. The beds and pillows are soft and comfy. The balconies have a great view of the city and/or of the big Pagoda across the street. I didn’t even mind the monks early chanting some mornings. It was very spiritual and good for my soul. The hotel restaurant is also very convenient and I recommend their daily breakfast with differing daily menus which was quite delicious ranging from western foods to some local Khmer dishes. I regret that I didn’t have any time to swim in their indoor pool since I was out and about most of the time that I was there. I especially appreciate that the hotel offer multiple security guards posted at the entrance on the street which made me feel very safe while I was staying there. They were also very kind always offering a helping hand into or out of my transportation and they are best at keeping eager tuk tuk drivers at bay. All of their staffs daily acknowledgments and smiles left a very warm impression in my heart. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, I would be delighted and very satisfied to be able to return to the Palace Gate & Residence again someday.

Loved this place; it was like an oasis of calm and elegance in a very busy city. The staff were consistently pleasant and helpful; they were even willing to take my postcards across town to the post office for me. And, great location.

Lovely hotel with spacious, clean rooms! Decor and ambience were nicely appointed. Staff was great, helpful, and polite. Breakfast was good and food tasted good. The area is also very walkable and tuk-tuks are always available outside. We did not use the indoor pool, however.

Had a great stay here. Despite being in a somewhat busy area it was so peaceful and relaxing. Room was a good size and kept very clean. Will stay here again on my next trip.

What a lovely hotel! From the moment we arrived we were taken care of and welcomed. The entire staff was lovely but Mr Sak was especially amazing. So helpful and kind. When we couldn’t figure out Grab app he booked a tuk tuk for us using his account. I am looking forward to staying again. The room was clean and well equipped and the breakfast was DELICIOUS. Hospitality above and beyond!!

Overall we had a great stay. The property is beautiful with all amenities needed in a room. The room was very spacious and good value for money. The only drawback was the sound of prayers from the Pagoda next door that would start from 4am until 8am.

This was one of the worst stays I’ve had anywhere. After saying the hotel was full and my booking wasn’t available then took an hour to sort out a room. Then 30 more minutes to confirm. They said they’d have to move me after one day to a different room and that I should leave my suitcases packed. I have a conference to speak and they said they would move my stuff for me. This didn’t end up being the case. I missed a meeting while waiting for the room.
I went upstairs to my room and then they wouldn’t let me carry my items to the room because they said they would do it for me. I waited about 20 minutes and they didn’t come up because my clothes were in my check in luggage. I went downstairs to see the front desk playing on their phones and luggage sitting there. I carried up my own luggage only to find the key didn’t work.
The front desk then said they didn’t have any for me and they would work on it and I could come back later. At this point it’s 1 am and I have already missed a surprise party for my birthday and the guests were starting to leave as I’m two hours late.
The next day I came into the hotel after my conference expecting a room move only to wait 30 minutes for them to tell me I’m staying in the same room.
Overall the hotel was nice but the booking and organisation were a nightmare

The stay started off great with us being upgraded when we arrived. We liked it so much that we decided to stay an extra day. The trouble came when the security guard in front of the hotel verbally assaulted my wife.
She was waiting for a tuk tuk and he started screaming at her in her face. He was asking her where she was going and were making rude comments about her size. He berated her until the tuk tuk drove off while others nearby laughed. She was scared and devastated by the experience.
When she told the front desk, there wasn't anything done. The manager asked to speak with us, but never showed up, as we were leaving early the next morning. We've traveled to 30 countries and have never had an experience like this. What started off as a great time was ruined. If it were a random person, we'd shrug it off, but this person worked for the hotel. Her sense of safety was shaken. We'd never stay here again.

We got the 2 bedroom presidential suite and it was fantastic. Views were outstanding, looking over the Cambodia-Vietnam Friendship monument, the nearby Mekong, and two city squares. Centrally -located within walking distance of the palace, independence monument, street food, restaurants, and two huge squares. Extremely clean property. Staff were amazing. Really helpful, from assistance with medical emergency, to exchanging larger currency for smaller bills, to extending our stay. The hotel has a lot of charm. Delicious welcome drink available throughout the day. Very well-priced 5-star restaurant.

The service by all at The Palace Gate has been absolutely fantastic. The staff have gone above and beyond. I stayed at Naga 7 times, however in the future Palace Gate will be my choice. It’s located down a quiet street short walk to riverside, basically centrally located. The staff polite and efficient.

The location was good. The room was clean, had a small kitchen. The refrigerator was nice for water and soda.
The room was quite did not any traffic or other guests. The bed was comfortable. Overall this hotel was a nice surprise. Non expensive but friendly staff and nice room.

Great little boutique hotel. The front desk manager Seng was extremely attentive and courteous. Hotel has a nice gym. PP is a big city is close to things is relative to what you want to stay close too. Nothing was too far for a tuk tuk.

It is like a gem in the city of Phnom Penh. Rooms are decorated with local touch design, staffs are well-trained, friendly, and quick to respond to requests. Hats-off especially to Seng Saila for his responsiveness and helpfulness.
The hotel also have a very nice outdoor area. Lush greeneries with excellent settings to chill and enjoy on poolside. Perfectly located beside the royal palace in which you can enjoy the view from the rooftop bar.

I booked this for my parents because it was their anniversary. The staff decorated their beds and treated them so so so well. We were impressed and will definitely stay there again! Thank you!!!!

On first appearance this property is exceptional. However after staying for two nights it soon became obvious that there are issues. The first night we called for room service and were told someone would come to our room. No one did so we called again and were told the same thing. No one came again. The next morning I asked if the safe could be opened as it was locked when we arrived. Again no one came to unlock the safe. Breakfast had a limited selection. And three out of four showers were cold. No hot water at all both in the morning and night. I would not recommend staying at this property because even if you have a problem no one will come and help you fix it.

The rooms were spacious. Higher floors are preferable as the views of the city and the place are good. Breakfast is adequate with a fair selection of western and Southeastern dishes. Service levels are very good and extremely courteous. Centrally located property and there is no dearth of transport options.

Breakfast buffet was very good but not replenished or hot if you dined after 9:00. Room service food excellent and well priced. Staff was excellent & very courteous. Great location near Royal palace. f you want Italian food, go to Limoncello’s next door.
