The room smelled strongly of bleach, there was mold on the ceiling and wall in the bathroom, and the heater to the pool was not working so it was too cold to be able to enjoy swimming. We didn't even unpack we requested our refund and found another place to stay. The only positive thing I could say about the place was the staff we spoke to were really friendly and helpful. The girl that checked us in was so friendly we felt bad for even bothering her to leave and she was even telling us of the fun things we could do while we were in the area while we waited to speak with her manager.

Has potential but the indoor pool is not heated, none of the 3 hot tubs work, the pool is cloudy, the showers in the rooms dont get hot, the restaurant and bar are not in service, theres no breakfast in the morning, and its rundown.

This place was amazing! Now its a shell of itself. All amenities are gone, breakfast, gym,hot tub. Only the pool is available and not very well kept at that. This last and final stay ever for me and my family they even cut the cable package to basic cable. So cheap and run down. They will say because of covid they cannot find any help, this is laughable. What does lack of employees have to do with putting generic coffee creamer in the coffee mate comtainer? Yeah i seen it personally. And the ripped up lobby couches have been on back order for 3 years now🤔 Like i said we will not say here again. Shouldn't have after we had to change room because all the roaches last stay. So shame on me!

Great trip took the kids to go tubbing location is perfect plenty of places to eat. Bar and dining was fantastic every member of the staff was great. Rich the restaurant manager was top notch along with front desk. Pool and play area was perfect for kids after tubbing. Already planning next trip.

I was disappointed that the WiFi and the hot tub wasn't working

pool is awesome! That said, the hot tubs were out of commission (which were a main draw for us), no wifi, no breakfast, our heater made a whining noise all night. we were not offered a different room even though there were plenty. Beds were springy and uncomfortable. The whole place is dated and dirty....but the pool was awesome

The stay didn’t meet my expectations, once I booked the room and it emailed a long list of accommodations that was currently unavailable, which inconvenienced us as family. Once we arrived at the hotel it seemed like a decent place but the pool was literally freezing and the building in which it was located. Once we got back to the room to take showers the water would not get warm at all, literally couldnt take a shower without shivering. The overall night wasnt to enjoyable

Liked the location. The lobby, pool, were okay. The room was in dire need of renovation. The ceiling and walls of the bathroom were peeling paint. We did not bother using the shower. The carpeting worn/aged. We couldn't wait to move on from our overnight stay. The room condition did not warrant the Friday night rate of $140.

The room was not clean and we had no hot water.

The facility is outdated, old, dirty, cold water showers unless you let the water run ten minutes first. Beds are old worn out, rooms are cold and poor lighting. Halls smell. The lobby is disgraceful with peeled leather on all the leather like sofas. Cheap stay and you really don’t even get what you pay for. Only thing it has going for it is a pool for a cheap vacay for families. Too many written rules should tell you run don’t stay here. We needed two wash clothes for our second night stay and had to return our dirty towels to the front desk before they would give us clean ones. We did have a do not disturb sign on our room because we didn’t want anyone entering and thought getting wash clothes wouldn’t be such an issue. Won’t stay here again!

Not only has the hot tub been closed for a very long time but, the WiFi didn’t work, no food was available, the water in our room took 30 minutes to warm up, our deadbolt didn’t work, and our hvac unit didn’t work either. This used to be the hotel I sent people coming to town to since the prices were so good and so many good features, that won’t happen anymore.

We stayed 3 nights at this so called resort while attending a family wedding. The maintainence has been totally neglected and I would not recommend the place to anyone except someone who has a group of middle schoolers who want to play late into the evening in the indoor pool which has an incredible slide. However, the smell of the chlorine from the pool permeates the hallways throughout the hotel. The photo I am posting of the sign on the desk at check-in gives you an idea of all the problems that need fixing except they should have also included that the hot water supply was limited which made it hard to shower. I suspect this place will soon be demolished.

I have never been so disappointed. I rented two rooms for my daughters sweet 16! We get there and check in then we are informed the hot tubs are not working, there is no WiFi, and that there is no breakfast. That is just the start. Then my kids go to the pool the pool is no longer heated due to the thermostat is apparently removed with live electrical wires hanging out of the wall. Roaches in our room, bed bugs, no hot water to shower with and the water was brown, black mold all over the ceilings everywhere in the motel. You could smell the mildew and mold all over the place. Broken glass in the hall ways from a busted out hotel window room that is on the inside of the hotel not the outside. My shower in one of my bathrooms had used soap still left in it. I could go on and on. I’m contacting corporate tomorrow. I feel as if I need to be compensated or refunded in some type of way! This is insane. We couldn’t even shower. The water was ice cold and brown!!!!

We reserved two queen beds in one room, months in advance and was given only one king bed for both nights. No other accommodation was offered

The pool was awesome. Front desk was nice and helpful. Walking to our room the smell in the hallway was atrocious. It made me weary of where I was staying. The room was huge but had a smell as well. We will come for birthday parties at the pool but staying there prob won’t happen.

Dingy condition overall with a lack of overall care; hot tub out of order for months even though when we filtered hotels with hot tub on hotels.com this one came up, no free breakfast as advertised either, and no guest wifi. Our room had trash under the nightstand and the bathroom could’ve used additional attention (hair in shower drain). Kids enjoyed the light effects in the pool at night, but I’m glad we weren’t staying more than one night.

Ladies at front desk were very accommodating when I told them my elderly mother could not get upstairs to our room. They switched our room to a first floor. Now…….learned at check in that there was NO wi-if, NO breakfast, NO HOT WATER, Not enough blankets for all the rooms. And there was a noise from upstairs that sounded like sanding. Was told it was the water pipes. Very annoying when trying to sleep. Rooms were OK. Nothing great for the price I paid.

When we arrived they said no suites were available even though we booked one months back. We were informed that there would be no breakfast and that the WiFi was down. Once we got to the room we found that the TV in one room wasn’t working. Once I tried checked the wires a roach crawled out from the back. Just not happy with the experience.

Booked and paid for a suite through Hotels.com, upon arrival was informed that a suite was unavailable but would provide 2 adjoining rooms at no extra cost. My card was charged for the extra room, however the night mgr promptly credited the charge resolving the issue very quickly! Kids enjoyed the slide and pool, please review the hotel details that they’re not currently serving breakfast.

As the picutes made it look good but thats not that case. First lets start off as they send you a email after it is to late to cancel stating that there is no breakfast, no wifi, no hot tub, and that NONE of your family can come inside and visit you even at the pool or them and you would be kicked out. There is a restaurant but the is only 1 employee doing everything so you wait forever to be seated, get your order taken anything. For the price i paid id never stay there again.

This place is an old motel that has been closed in and given a facelift. The lobby and pool areas are great. But the halls and rooms are old with chipping paint, ac units that are constantly noisy and we killed a roach running across a table in our room. There was no breakfast, no wifi and the fitness center was closed. This is the 2nd Ascent property we stayed at that was unsatisfactory. We will not stay at another.

Many of the amenities were not available. Pool and spa was closed, no breakfast, even the vending machine was out of order. Room was adequate, tub and shower needed a bar. Smelled a lot of cigarette smoke.

The staff and manager was incredibly friendly and accomodating. Our first room was absolutely terrible. Once I made this known to the manager, she moved us to a better room for the remainder of our stay. The pool and slide was fun, but it was inconvenient that all other amenities were out of service, and we were not informed until the day before check in. Overall, its an average "motel". We did have a few roaches in our first room. None in our 2nd. The manager was nice enough to refund us a small portion of our money for inconveniences. I do not think the price matches the property by any means.

We were very disappointed when we got to the property! A storm had caused many problems! What was disappointing was that the hotel reminds you about the date to cancel your prepaid reservation, but did not notify us ahead of time about the problems! No breakfast, No WIFI, Limited menu in the Tavern! Doors in and out only opened from the inside. Rooms were not clean, and the paint job was a mess! No place to hang clothes. The Tavern staff and food was good!

The hotel had a nice pool but that was the only amenity you got. The wifi wasnt working. Neither was the hot tub. The light in my bathroom would flicker on and off. There was a dead rat in my room. The breakfast was cancelled for guest. Made my reservation back on may 4th for my stay in september when i go to check in they didnt show it on their system but i had my copy of the reservation from when i made it so they honored it. I wouldnt recommend anyone to stay there. They need to fix alot of problems and the rats to. Pictures and description on the internet make it look great with lots of amenities but when you get there most all amenities werent available. Fraudulent misrepresentation if you ask me. I hope this helps anyone else looking to stay there
