Really enjoyed the stay easy to get to beach and staff was friendly

This trip was to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. While we did come back with a lot of memories we also came back with numerous FLEA BITES and FLEAS in our luggage.
The staff during the evening and in the restaurants were great but the front desk during the day were rude.

The price does not justify, hotel has been renovated

Very nice beachfront hotel, comfortable beds, good pool, excellent beach access and a very hot shower which was nice.

The pool was nice but it was midweek and kind of crowded. The restaurant was good but the menu was limited.

We checked in and were given our wrist band room keys, which we thought were great for the beach! They offered us a parking pass but never gave us one so I had to go back for one then they questioned me as if I already had it. The room was nice and they left a couple bottles that should have had water in them that said "on us" when I picked them up they were empty. That was disappointing. The room temperature was at 72 and even after adjusting didn't get much colder. The beach is wonderful and chaise lounge chairs are provided. There is a nice pool and poolside bar. It was great to have mini fridge in the room and microwave. They are working hard to get things back to normal around the island after the hurricane and we were happy to stay at the resort even if it wasn't much of a resort, very basic for a resort

Renewed and by the beach.
Nice staff and good conditions on the room.
Easy access to the beach.
Tiki bar and restaurant is a must.

Positives: beach access to sanibel beach. Restaurant was good but pricey.
Super overpriced. It might be the location. You basically pay for a motel at the beach. Bed is not comfortable. AC stinks. Dark room.
Wouldnt stay there again.

Amazing staff modern rooms and great pool patio. Great access to the ocean.

The young man that checked us in did not give us a parking pass. Did not tell us about bug spray for beach. We were missing one set of towels. Went down to the front desk to ask for a parking pass and a set of towels. Was told they would bring them up. That did not happen. Overall excellent!!

For the amount they are charging I would expect much more. They are one of the only hotels that have reopened after the hurricane and are cashing in on that.
The food was average and very expensive. The rooms are not great. Clean but average. Reception staff not very helpful or look as though they’re willing to help.
There is still a lot of redevelopment going on around the hotel/motel.

Musty smell. Needs to be remodeled. Beds are ok, pillows are bad. Bring your own.

They pull the chairs from the beach really early, and close the pool around 7pm. This leaves nothing to do at the resort. Food in the restaurant was very good. Sunsets and shell hunting was next level.

Great location, room and restaurant

The place is a great location on the beach but the service and availability for food was very much lacking for the area. For the price of the hotel all that was offered was hamburgers and hotdogs food. They said gourmet didn’t try but for the price per night there should be more variety. The pool bar closed at 6 and the smoothies you could only get in the morning. Also the check in and out staff were not very helpful.what we were told on check in was not true. We wanted to split the room on two cards. They said they don’t charge till you leave. Not true all came out each day out of one account. When we checked out we were given attitude to fix it and we wanted to split. I had to figure out the amounts because two charges went through already??! Why we told different! Also when we said what happened and wanting to split on two cards the check out clerk said we was hurting her head!
The cleaning service we just happened to there when they cleaned our room they barely cleaned didn’t refill thing we used and then merged the recycling box with regular garbage instead of truly a environmental caring place it was just a facade. Would not stay again but will be back to Sanibel! I’m still waiting for refunds!!!

Resort is nice and staff are very friendly. Rooms are old and small, but clean and I felt very safe on the property. Pool area, beach front and the cafe were all great. Good food selection for a quick bite. Location is fantastic and I would definitely stay again.

Everyone was friendly. Room is typical hotel room. Surprised no housekeeping service. When checking out, I was told “you needed to request it” but that wasn’t made clear. Right on the gulf. Easy walk. Chairs provided and towels. Would have been great to have unpmbrellas available. Restaurant is now open. Tiki bar by pool was fine. Cheaper than staying at the only resort on Fort Myers beach by a lot! Traffic to/from Sanibel is horrible

Our trip started out rough...our King room was not available when we arrived and the unhelpful desk clerk stuck us in a double queen room. The room looked like a bargain motel room from the 70's and we were extremely disappointed. The next morning I told my gf that something was off because I would not have booked this hotel if I the website pictures looked like this. Sure enough I check this out and the pictures show beautiful remodeled rooms in a contemporary style. I decided to speak with the management about this. Fortunately the manager was understanding after showing him the pictures and he offered to have us change rooms. There were still no kings like we had booked, but a least we got a nicer remodeled room which made the rest of our stay a lot more enjoyable. The restaurant/bar and other front desk staff were very pleasant and friendly. They definitely made the difference. The pool/bar and restaurant were just reopened after remodeling from hurricane Ian and everything was nice and new looking. Overall a good place to stay on the island, just need to be careful with which room you get. Probably best to request a remodeled room until they get them all done.

Stayed in a king suite with a tiny kitchenette that wasn't really sufficient to cook anything except to microwave or make coffee. Beds were comfortable and bathroom was very roomy with soaker tub and separate shower. Pool area was nice and the marketplace for food was simple but useful.

The resort was still under construction from the damage caused by Ian so restaurant was closed and construction noise was bad. I can’t deduct due to that, they are rebuilding and it looks to be very nice once done

Construction vehicles on beach next door to property. Long lines of backed-up traffic on Periwinkle and feeder streets between 2:00 and 6:30 pm. Very difficult to get to restaurants and shops on Periwinkle. Traffic caused by cars going off the island every weekday. No problem on weekends.

its right on the beach! has a pool, a bar by the pool, lots of beach towels and a short bike ride to the main street where all the shops and restaurants are, very nice!

When we arrived they had lost our reservation so we got a room but not the oceanfront room we had paid for. We paid for our room when we made our reservation. After we left, they charged us a second time.

Absolutely the best vacation I have had! The views of the sunrise along with the ammentities of the pool being steps from the beach was absolutely perfect!! We will be back!

I am totally upset by the fact I am paying $100 a night more through Expedia than if I had booked directly with this hotel. Please credit me $100; you are guilty of deceptive marketing. Keith Hart

apparently this property used to be a Holiday Inn that was purchased after the hurricane. They have done a very nice job every re building and renovating. Although there is no restaurant, you can order food at the tiki bar and it is cooked in a food truck. There are about seven options. But there are many many restaurants around as well. Our room was very clean and had all of the amenities mentioned. There is a $25 plus tax resort fee. We would stay here again.

Well taken care of, clean, on the beach, friendly staff!

BEAUTIFUL renovations after Hurricane Ian! The staff we encountered were great. The 3 star review unfortunately is due to several reasons. #1-the online photos of the beach are untrue. Turns out a lake dumps into the Gulf near this resort which causes dark, muddy water. We were soooo excited for the crystal blue waters that were posted on the resort's facebook page. #2-You are only allowed beach chairs on the beach until 5pm. The resort fee of $25 per night for the chair is ridiculous. The non-stop construction bulldozers, skid steers, & dump trucks driving on the beach during the day make it so you cannot relax. #3-The only food available is a food truck, not even a vending machine. If I'm not mistaken, there is only 4 or 5 items on the truck menu.

For the price of the room I was expecting better quality as advertised. The only good is that is pet friendly.

Millions of good shells! And beach renourishment is going on, so noise and some trucks bringing in sand. They are still recovering from the hurricane last year. Heavy traffic due to reconstruction vehicles. Restaurant wasn't open for 1 more week but it looks nice! Bed was comfortable!

It‘s one of the first hotels to be reopened on Sanibel Island. New, nice, clean, very modern.
At the beach. There is still some construction at the beach going on but that’s finished soon.
We really enjoyed out stay!

Rude and inattentive front desk clerk/staff. Reported toilet not working and staff gave it no sense of urgency and when confronted about it got very defensive and arrogant. Manager fixed the toilet and was very nice about it. The front desk clerk has a bright future in anything but customer service.

We had family visiting Sanibel and wanted to spend a few days with them. (We live on east coast of Florida)
We were concerned about conditions in Sanibel, and the protesters crazy.
I found a reasonable price on Expedia, and we were thrilled with this property.
The room was brand new, and a great location.
The check-in and everyone we met there w could not of been nicer. We enjoyed a drink at the Tiki Bar, and the pool is also new.
Highly recommend.
