I have stayed at this hotel previously and had a wonderful experience. That being said, the hotel is literally located next to the ramp to Queensboro bridge. With pregnant wife being a very light sleeper, I requested a room that faces away from the noisy ramp to make her stay as comfortable as possible.
We arrived early at the hotel. During check in we pled our case and for a quiet room. The front desk staff Lara (or Laura?) replied quickly that the hotel is fully booked and there is only one room left. She gave us a room that is right next to the freeway ramp!!
I began to question whether there was indeed no other room available, and became more suspicious as I saw house cleaning staff prepare multiple rooms that were completely vacant.
Over the next hour or so my wife stayed in the room, the the noise level was too much for her. In addition, she could feel the floor vibrate at times. I had no choice but went downstairs and explained this situation to another front desk staff. He told me that he just checked another couple to the "last room" which he could have switched for us, but now there was really no vacant room left.
Needlessly to say, my wife did not have a good sleep. She nursed a severe head ache the next day and her condition almost warranted a trip to the emergency room.
I could understand if the hotel was indeed fully booked, but I do not appreciate being lied to by a front desk staff who showed no compassion at all.

This hotel was perfect for our family of 5 visiting NYC. (Kids ages 9-14; the walking/stairs with the subway might be a bit much for kids 5 and under) It’s a quick 5 minute walk to the Court Square subway station, where you can take the E train to most Manhattan attractions. We felt very safe walking around with our kids, even when we came back from a show at 10pm. It was also very easy to go to JFK airport, as the E train also connects to the air train. Our room had 2 doubles plus a pull out sofa and was fairly spacious. (I’ve certainly had bigger rooms, but not in a major city.) This was much more space and much cheaper than anything I found in Manhattan, and it’s literally the first subway stop in Queens. (So not from Manhattan). Breakfast was great, with sausage, fruit, waffles, cereals, yogurt, etc every day. (Though warning, breakfast does get very crowded during the last 30 minutes or so.). We arrived around lunch time and they were very helpful to keep our bags until checkin time while we started exploring that afternoon. They did the same thing when we left, but I was a little disappointed that they charged us $3 per bag to hold them until we were ready to leave for the airport. (In our case that was 8 bags since we only traveled with carrryons.). Overall, great experience, perfect location, good food, super clean rooms, and friendly staff. I would definitely stay here again.

This property was perfect for going in and out of the city. It is a short walk to the train station. The staff was super helpful and available to guide us as we navigated our stay.
6.0
It had a computer facility and a good free hot breakfast with waffles. On the negative side was the $50 deposit per night for incidentals which will be returned if and when Hyatt chooses. This amounts to a $50 interest free loan at a time when business travelers are retreating from hotels and flocking to Zoom-type applications.

Pros :
Good service from all employees we met
Clean
Comfortable room
Proximity of train (R & E very useful at Queens Plaza station)
Proximity of restaurants (but we only tried the take out buffet option offered by FoodCellar Market that was tasty and cheaper than so many restaurants in NY!)
Service of bar available at front desk
Parking $ available on reservation (small parking just beside)
Cons :
Not enough places to sit for breakfast
End of breakfast at 9 during the week
No coffee or hot water offered 24/7
A little noisy in reason of highway, but not enough to prevent sleeping

Great breakfast. Matthews was an amazing front desk employee. Very kind and friendly. This location is away from the hustle and bustle of Manhattan, but it is a quick 10 mins ride on the train.

Overall good. I couldn’t park at the parking lot and no notification before I called the front. But the parking lot was near the place.

This is our first time staying at the Hyatt in Long Island City. We used to stay in other nearby hotels. Although our room is exactly "touching" the highway on the fourth floor, there is minimal noise. Room is not too small for two ppl with the King size bed. This one great differentiator is that the Hyatt offers great breakfast! The disappointment is that there was no place to sit to eat breakfast. And the line was long for waffles. Coffee was not impressive but sufficient condiment was supplied. Would I stay here again? Absolutely! For the cleanness, convenience and breakfast. Also, hotel barely has parking whilte nearby parking places are sufficient.

Clean with very comfortable beds. Close waling to restaurants and the Court Square subway stop. A lot of construction in Long Island City but this is all over the area. It is our favorite in the area.

The stuff is fabulous. I did not like the room that was originally allocated to me, and right away they changed it. The manager is absolutely phenomenal.
The property is very well maintained - we have stayed there many times, and we always come back. Great place and stuff and service.

Hyatt Place Long Island City boasts an excellent location near Queensboro Plaza subway station, just three stops from Manhattan. The surrounding neighborhood is safe, and there are some great dining choices. Convenient for exploring the city, the hotel offers a comfortable stay with its proximity to transportation and local amenities. Will definitely stay here again next time I visit NYC.

I arrived at the hotel and thy gave me a room #404. I regret I am unable to attach photographs and a sound recording to provide a better assessment of why this property is totally unhealthy and non compatible with a Hyatt Place standard. Worse than that, receptionist was rude and said about the noise: Welcome to NYC! I just left, but they charged for the room. It is a trap. Also, I contacted Expedia and they were unable to help. If you happen to go there please be sure to avoid this room and sector.

Pretty nice and standard for a short stay. Nice staff and pet friendly.

Good location, near 3 stations and the metro will stop at these stations even if express. Lots of stores and eateries nearby, pretty safe area. Target & Trader Joes for water and necessities. A/c slow to work in the room. I liked that there were lots of plugs in the room and shelves that we can put our things on/in. The rooms were pretty big in NYC. Housekeepers very stingy with bar soap and small lotion, we had 4 adults in the room but they would only provide 1 and didn’t replenish every day when we were there a week, we had to ask them or take from the cart. But they kept our room clean. Hotel will charge you $300 for deposit when you check in and return 7days after you check out, even if you already paid online, it is separate. The people at the counter were very friendly and helpful. Greeted you when you walked in to the lobby. Breakfast was good for a continental breakfast! We had cooked egg, hash browns, and sausage daily, with juice, bread/bagel, yogurt, fruit cup, banana, apples, corn flakes, instant oatmeals, coffee and hot water for tea. We did not use the exercise room but I heard there was a filtered water fountain. But if you missed the breakfast, there are lots of options around the hotel.

Safe and convenient for our needs. Clean and well-maintained. Good beds and in-room amenities.

Spacious room, front staff courtesy and helpful. Breakfast a plus, food was average. Close to subway, convenient for transport to the city. Enjoyed our stay, will return

The hotel was well located for subway transport and the staff were friendly. However the rooms were very small, particularly when the trundle bed was open and the breakfast was dreadful - limited choice and horribly processed. There was also not enough seating as we had to sit one morning on a small sofa in the lobby eating breakfast. Despite booking the room for 3 the trundle bed had not been made up, there was insufficient bedding in the wardrobe to make it up ourselves and there were only towels for 2. I probably wouldn't stay here again.

NYC is not known to be quiet, but if you are sensitive to traffic noise, better ask for a room that's not facing an elevated road.

Comfortable and elegant with many places to walk to for dining. A couple blocks from Queens Plaza for easy metro access to the city.

First time in Queens and getting to the hotel was a problem because the address is 27-03. The information I was provided was 2707.

The location is great for connecting to Manhattan with good subway stations around. The hotel room is decent. Breakfast options and timings could be better.
