Will definitely stay again

Very comfortable stay, room great, evening meal was good value, tasty and plentyful. Breakfast was good but would be excellent with a better quality sausage! from a business perspective, decent desk and chair in room and quick reliable Wifi.

Got a good price for the room but this was cancelled out by the £10 charge for overnight parking and £15 charge for breakfast. The towel rail in room 3 is without doubt the dirtiest thing I’ve seen in a hotel room in years. Ewww….

Graet hotel. Pleasant staff, very helpful. Room was modern and recently decorated. Spacious and comfortable although the TV was in a weird place at right angles to the bed? If the bed was turned onto the side wall it wouldn't be quite so awkward to watch but this is just a minor observation. Good choice of food in the bar downstairs. Breakfast was freshly cooked and not buffet style.

It was not convenient to dry your hair where the wall outlet was and also the mirror was not in the convenient place. There was also not enough shelf space in the bathroom for all our toiletries. Having said this, it was improved from the last time we stayed at the Hotel.

We just stopped here for the night on the way to Scotland. Clean and staff were super helpful.

Amazing stay for work with my Danish colleagues. The food in the restaurant is brilliant, especially the pizza which is made in a proper pizza over outside. The rooms are immaculate and the beds are comfy. I will definitely be back!

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was pleasant enough, couple of points - limited plugs we only found 1, the door rattled everytime anyone walked past or used the doors in the corridor. Paying for parking is a bit odd but as vip members we got that included. Bar restaurant was very pleasant although music was loud and made conversation hard. Charged 2 different prices for same round ? Overall very pleasant and would be happy to return.

The hotel is in a run down area and it needs a bit of a decor vamp. Aldo having to pay for parking at 10 pounds a day is ridiculous as I was on a spare piece of land outside the hotel . The manager asked me to move no wonder he was getting 20 pounds out of me moving my car Was supposed to be in a deluxe double room if this was deluxe then why would I not have special favours like little soap’s conditioner etc etc Also breakfast was 15 pounds each not worth it No bacon and beans were cold Also the fresh fruit was from a tin terrible

The rooms were very good. Newly refurbished to a high standard. We stayed in the main building in a Superior room. We were very annoyed with the £10 per night parking charge, it seems excessive. The restaurant food was good quality but the staff we over attentive [pushy]

Single night stay, very welcoming staff and lovely pub/restaurant very generous portions for a reasonable price.

Do not be fooled by the exterier on the main road as you pull up, when you get in to the car park it has a lovely beer garden. The rooms are actually separate to the pub and its like a new build, the rooms are lovely and comfy and no noise. The food in the restaurant is amazing, good menu and the breakfast was lovely too, poached eggs cooked to perfection. And lastly the staff were all friendly and attentive and the manager was great, so helpful even took me over carrying my case to my room. Cannot reccomend enough, i will definitely be back when next in the area.

This was a base before starting a week walking. Fab place, great staff and really comfortable rooms. Really enjoyed our stay.

Staff were friendly, not too attentive. Rooms were very clean comfortable and tiedy. Whereas the hotel itself was very run-down and grubby.

The hotel is in a Victorian commercial hotel and is very nicely decorated. The staff are amazing and very helpful. Any problems we had were quickly and politely dealt with. We chose to eat in the hotel on a Saturday evening and we all enjoyed our choices. We were leaving early on Sunday and so could not sample breakfast. Our accommodation block was behind the main building and very quiet with secured parking. Parking is charged as an extra but is reasonable. We would certainly stay again and arrange some spa treatments as the hotel offered a discount if booked before arrival.

We absolutely loved everything about this hotel! Our room was superb - lovely, spacious double with a sitting area, mini fridge and hot drink making facilities. The shower was excellent and the whole room was spotlessly clean and evidently quite recently totally refurbished. The whole hotel had the vibe of a chic boutique establishment with quirky but not over the top decor that both caught the eye and provided amusing conversation! We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the varied menu really had something for everyone. We shared spicy cod tacos to start which had a lovely kick to them. My husband had the scampi and I had sesame tuna Asian noodles. The whole meal was delicious with fresh produce evidently used. What a treat! One of the best ever hotel breakfasts was on offer in the morning. Again lots of beautifully prepared and presented fresh produce. Top marks to the kitchen team! The standout of this whole experience was the staff. Every single member of staff we came in contact with from the manager through reception, bar, waiting staff and the girls on breakfast duty were a pure pleasure. Polite, pleasant, chatty and helpful without being intrusive, they were all a delight! Seriously cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. I really hope we will be heading back this way sometime soon because I would book again without hesitation. Thank you!
