Property is in a wonderful spot, but sadly is falling into disrepair. Entire rental for property is charged upfront at time of rental. Host claims this a VRBO requirement, but have not had that experience with other VRBO properties an it is not standard in the owner rental arrangements found on this site. Be prepared to furnish your own toilet paper, paper towels or host will charge. If you plan to cook in be prepared. Cooking pots and pans were marginal at best. Old, and not in good, clean repair and limited. Feeding a large group (14 guests in our visit) was difficult. The dishwasher was not run upon arrival, had to re-wash dishes, scrub pans, and some of the plastic containers were actually moldy. Dishwasher is in poor repair, stove was filthy with dried on, sticky grease in fan area and cooktop. oven is a mess and has not been cleaned in a while. Coffee pot runs very hot, steams when opening lid and does not work properly. Burn risk. Washer does not spin out properly, leaving clothes very wet. In need of repair. Not enough towels and linens available for the 14 guest max as advertised. Towels and linens are old. Extra linens are very limited. As of yet the deposit for the pontoon was not returned. The pontoon was left in good order. Owner claimed movies were charged to his account, but that is not true, as we used my personal acct. Property was left in better condition than we found it. Very disappointed. We will not stay again.

Great place. The host description of property and amenities were spot on. Wonderful vacation home for families of all ages.

Beautiful location, quiet, clean, comfortable, many amenities. We had ages from 3 to 70+. Had a lot of fun!

The good: it’s hard to imagine a better spot on the lake. Large backyard for playing games, lawn chairs for enjoying gorgeous view of lake; trees give privacy & 90% of what you look at across lake is undeveloped. Beautiful & peaceful. The bad: house was not clean. Crumbs, stickiness & even hair throughout kitchen -counters, microwave, fridge, freezer, inside drawers & cabinets & pantry shelves. Had to wash every utensil, pot, etc before using as most were visibly dirty. Also in bad shape - melted, scratched, worn. Pot holders literally crusty with dried food. Crumbs on couch; Rugs not vacuumed; Tub dirty; trash in fire pit; Even tv remote was sticky. After seeing kitchen I cleaned entire house to be safe — after going to store to buy cleaning supplies, because absolutely nothing was provided -not even a dish sponge or dish soap. Owner was made aware of cleanliness issue on day after arrival but made no attempt to rectify. Dishwasher is half the size of normal so nothing fits in it; racks are damaged & held up with wire. Once-cream colored chairs in living room are dirty brown from use. Locks on interior doors (inc baths) don’t work. Basement smelled extremely musty; upon inspection, found extensive water damage on carpet by patio doors; bottom of curtains are black with mold. We avoided area. Beds were comfortable but linens are old; towels are bleach-stained & fraying. There is no door to upstairs master bedroom so it’s open to adjacent loft & even stairs.
