If you are staying in Chester to visit Lassen Park, as we did, this is definitely the place to stay. It has so much character and the rooms are all individual. The grounds are perfect for enjoying an evening drink. The breakfast was amazing - especially as they were able to accommodate a vegan and a celiac sufferer in our party. Little touches included an honesty bar and free sherry in the lounge area. We didn’t stay as it was such lovely weather but there was plenty of room to hang out in the indoor sitting areas too. We were so happy to have stayed here rather than the Best Western down the road.

The location is great as it is just in the town limits of Chester. They keep the grounds up very nicely. My Rose room was spacious and furnished nicely.

This is a historic B&B Inn run by a lovely family. The common areas are furnished in old style, giving it a very cozy atmosphere. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the quiet in the evening after our visit to the Lassen national park. I definitely recommend this place.

This location is absolutely beautiful! It’s perfect! The bed was comfortable. The size of the room was perfect. The restroom and the bathroom area was beautiful and clean. Everything was wonderful. The food was delicious! Great service, everything was wonderful.

This charming bed and breakfast captured my heart. We stayed in the Bidewell suite. This house was built many decades ago. It has been charmingly updated. The attention to architectural detail and updated dated bathrooms were excellent choices by the owners. Additionally, the rooms were decorated with antique pieces to give the establishment a personal touch. The hotel staff were courteous and helpful making sure our every need was met. There was a communal pantry for ice or storage of foods we brought in. I highly recommend this B&B without reservation.

We arrived to a warm welcome. Our room was so clean and beautiful. The bed was very comfortable. We had a glass of wine on the very well kept grounds and even played some outdoor games in the backyard. There is a lovely sitting room and a great breakfast in the morning definitely will recommend to anyone

We arrived at the Bidwell and folllowed the instructions to call reception. Eva, the Inn Keeper greeted us and explained the amenities at Bidwell House. The property is a historic building so it has lots of character. The room we booked has been updated and was very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was served every morning in the dining area and was a different egg based item that were all very different from the previous day and all very good. The Innkeeper Eva was very friendly and her staff were all nice and accomodating. We will definitely stay there again when in the area.

I've stayed at The Bidwell House many times ocer the years and always look forward to going back. Filip and Eva are wonderful hosts, the rooms are beautiful, clean, and comfortable, and the breakfasts delicious.

The staff were helpful, the area beautiful, the room comfy. Breakfast was not 100% but they did a great job outside of that. There are other eating locations in the area if you would rather go elsewhere.

The host and staff are welcoming, the Inn comfortable and classic, the grounds beautiful--and the little touches, from the wine/beer cooler to the cookie jar to the home cooked breakfasts--are all lovely.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Bidwell House. Our hosts were gracious, friendly, and knowledgeable about the surrounding area's activities and dining options. They went the extra mile to help us with our late check-in. Delicious light breakfasts were prepared and served with warm smiles, and we enjoyed chatting with other guests as we relaxed in the mornings and evenings. We felt right at home!

The property is very cozy, clean, located close to the lake, just across the beautiful meadow. The owners are very friendly, helped us with advice of choosing the best trails for the day. Every day the owner prepared different breakfast and it was always so delicious! We really enjoyed our stay there.

Hotel is very nice and the rooms are large

Owners were friendly, room was clean and cozy. No AC, but they did a good job trying to keep the room cool during the day before check in. Breakfast was tasty (bread/hummus/eggs/juice). We could hear our neighbors muffled conversation through the wall, but everyone quieted down at a reasonable hour. Would consider staying again if I was in the area.
