Barbo Palace

Clean, spacious, very close to everything! The staff was super friendly, they went above and beyond - they helped us retrieve a lost item from a taxi we took when we left and delivered it to us personally. Many thanks!

Overall we loved the place. Walking distance to all the restaurants, old town and new town. Very helpful staff.

Barbo Palace is a very ideal place to stay when you are visiting Ljubljana, Slovenia. This building was build in 1884 yet still in a very good condition. High ceiling & they have good amenities in the room we were staying. Location is perfect, only 20 minutes walking to get you to the castle. Many nice cafes & bars along the river that’s just behind the hotel. We met & to get to know a very lovely young lady, Petra (she’s a student & taking a part time job as receptionist at Barbo) who’s very helpful & knowledgeable about the city. I love this city & the hotel I stayed.

Can't recommend this place enough! It's charming and comfortable and the design and aesthetic of a former palace is so much fun. Great location - easy to walk to everything in city center but very quiet at night. An incredibly helpful and lovely front desk person. Everything you need in a small kitchen so you don't have to eat out for every meal. Bright and airy, big windows, *and* an effective air conditioner. I loved this place so much!
