Casa del Rio Melaka

The location was excellent and the hotel itself is beautiful, very tranquil and spacious. The staff were fantastic and so welcoming from the moment I arrived. They made the whole stay really comfortable, whether I was at the rooftop bar, River Café or restaurant. I really enjoyed the leisurely breakfast by the river, with both à la carte and buffet options and plenty of choice. It was a lovely way to start the day. There are also some great outdoor spaces to sit and enjoy the hotel, while inside the air conditioning was excellent when it got hot. I had actually been a little worried before arriving that, being an older property, the air conditioning might not be as effective, but I needn’t have worried at all. My room was lovely and cool throughout. I stayed in a River Suite and it was absolutely beautiful. It was spacious, comfortable and had a wonderful atmosphere. I genuinely didn’t want to leave. I’d absolutely recommend Casa del Rio to anyone staying in Melaka. It’s right in the heart of everything, but once you’re inside it feels incredibly peaceful and relaxed. I’d come back without hesitation.
