Gesamte Anlage sehnt sich nach einer Renovierung, Frühstück nicht sehr empfehlenswert, da nicht sauber gehalten

Sehr schöne Beach Castaway Villa Nr. 208 an sehr schöner Lage.

Mosquitos waren recht unangenehm.

Um hotel paradisíaco com paisagens lindas. A localização é bastante remota e tem uma praia que apesar de não ser privada do hotel na altura em que fomos não tinha praticamente ninguém para além dos hospedes do hotel. A praia tinha areia branca e agua transparente e a piscina do hotel era igualmente bonita, mesmo em frente à praia. O pequeno almoço incluido tinha várias opções e o restaurante mesmo em frente ao mar tinha uma vista incrível para tomar o pequeno almoço. Os funcionários da receção eram mega simpáticos e ajudaram-nos sempre que tínhamos alguma dúvida. O quarto tinha ótimas condições, uma grande área e a casa de banho era sem dúvida fantástica.

É algo que não conseguimos controlar mas nos nossos ultimos dias o bar da praia entrou em obras, o que não foi ideal. Em relação à localização, apesar de ter uma praia linda e remota o hotel encontra-se bastante longe do centro da cidade e caso não tenham mota como era o nosso caso, so havia duas opções: (1) taxi que ficava a cerca de 7,5€ por viagem ou (2) suttle do hotel. No entanto este suttle só oferecia três horários de ida e um de volta. Penso que no mínimo deveriam oferecer transporte de e para o centro de duas em duas horas. O restaurante do hotel serve almoços e jantares muito bons mas a um preço elevadissimo quando comparado com os preços médios da Tailândia. Para além disso, cobram 17% de taxa de serviço (o que é altissimo) e não há nenhum pré-aviso. Para um hotel a este preço a limpeza podia ser um pouco melhor (ex: lençóis com mini manchinhas que pareciam ser de sangue de picada de mosquitos, quando chegamos o espelho da casa de banho não tinha sido limpo corretamente). Tendo em conta que os bungalows têm floresta à volta é normal que vários animais apareçam. No entanto, no nosso caso todos os dias tinhamos um gueko no quarto que criava algum incomodo. Ligamos a receção e eles removeram-no todos os dias rapidamente, mas mesmo assim era um processo chato. Provavelmente estavam a entrar pelas condutas do ar condicionado. Não sei se há algo a fazer para evitar isto, mas seria ideal. Além disso, entravam vários mosquitos no quarto e as portas não pareciam isoladas o suficiente para impedir a passagem para seu interior.

Breakfast was average hotel breakfast, lots of options which was good but quality was only fair.

- The resort feels very natural and quiet. - Amazing beach and location

- Poor breakfast : not a lot to pick from. pancakes cold and not fresh. self service coffee machine that made bad coffee. we asked for a cold americano and it’s available only for another 152 baht for one glass. besides the poor coffee to drink you have water , not fresh orange juice and cold milk included in the breakfast deal. further more their are only a couple roof fans that don’t do the job in Thailand. - Less than average service: staff were not kind , not happy to see the guests and it truly felt that they are doing a favor every time I asked something and to be honest I sometimes felt bad for asking for things. the only helpful staff member was the hotel manager and one reception employee. - Poor facilities maintenance: the Pool was green and has patina in it. electricity plugs in the room could not hold our iPhone chargers. 2 soup squeezers did not work. - Insect Control : the hotel is full of mosquitoes like all of Thailand . but until today in every hotel I been to the hotel provides anti mosquitoes candles that really help. this hotel does not provide. - Towels : each room gets 4 towels every day 2 to shower and 2 for the pool and beach. No Towel Service other then the room.

It was a very pretty and clean resort and the bungalow was simply stunning. Everything was clean and the staff was very nice.

It was a little far away and it took a little while to get to the bungalow.

Hadd Tien is on the best beach of the island. Also both pools are really cool and the greenery is tranquil. Staff is very polite, but they look tired working long hours.

Facilities- Day 1 and 2 we got sink blokage, toilet blokage twice, shower not working with hot water, and safe did not open. All got fixed but these are things that a 4 star resort must check before guests check in. Also I arranged a birthfay cake upon arrival, confirmed by email so I could surprise my partner but unfortunately it never happened. Lamp shades, mosquito net, blinds are all broke in our bungalow. if you are not into Asian breakfast food - boiled chicken, porn , noodles and rice for breakfast, book without the option. Western breakfast was another disappointment.

The pool, the restaurants and the beach bar are very good. I have no words for the beauty of the beach, which is by far the most beautiful in Koh Tao. Besides, the whole design/aesthetic of the hotel merged with the nature that surrounds the beach is truly incredible (even more than on the photos), it made our stay an unforgettable experience. The staff is nice in a general way. The food is good. They offer free shuttle bus to Sairee beach and to the pier, as well as the possibility of scheduling boat trips around the island and to Koh Nang Yuan directly from the hotel beach. Also, if you’re leaving Koh Tao after checkout time, you may use the beach and the pool after checking out and they offer the possibility of taking a shower before you leave, which I found really nice.

Dave, the manager, does (in my perspective) a very good job here, we had the chance to speak with him several times, because he’s always attentive to guests. It is precisely because of having interacted so many times with him that I now regret not sharing my suggestions for improvement directly with him. I now realize it would probably have been more efficient and respectful. So, the only reasons I give it 9 and not 10 points are: - room cleaning: we had to complain twice because of stains on the sheets and we still got sheets and pillow covers with stains, we then gave up. I think the sheets were washed, it is probably the type of stains that will never disappear, my suggestion is that the hotel could change for new ones. Also, the cleaning ladies never cleaned the sink and never re-supplied the amenities on the bathroom. - luggage carrier: when checking out, a member of the staff took our luggage to the shuttle bus and broke one the wheels of my bag, we only noticed when we left the shuttle bus on the pier. - shower: we stayed at the hideaway villa and there was only a fixed shower on the wall, which is impractical sometimes. A non-fixed shower would be a nice addition to the bathroom.
