Edu and family were the kindest. The place is well located, nice warm shower and rooms just like in the pictures.

AC didn’t work for us. Shower head was too low for our height. The door handle was broken. We had to search for the owners to get enough toilet paper. The bed was not a double bed as booked but two single beds. If these things improve the rest is perfect. They should indicate that it is not possible to provide private parking, it is very difficult to find a free spot around the city.

The service in this very clean little hotel was great. The location is perfect, quiet, and only a couple of minutes walking from the sea front. Not being much of a beach person, I loved the environment with beautiful walks along the cliffs of Barbate and through the salt marshes. And of course a visit to the beautiful little town of Vejer de la Frontera on its hilltop a bit further inland, just behind Barbate.

I don’t know whether the prices are due to shortages driven by the covid pandemic, but I didn’t necessarily find it to be good value for money. The first night we arrived the beds were not made and there weren’t any towels, and neither the air conditioning remote was there. The room is next to the terrace and other guests can be pretty loud; if you’re sensitive with noise, the room we stayed in was underneath the roof on top of which the cleaning staff was pretty noisy in the mornings. The reception was deserted 80% of the time. This being said, the manager was readily available via whatsapp and the cleaning staff was nice enough to make us do a late check out.
