Great property and excellent service. Centrally located in Waikīkī, close to beach, shops, and dining. Souvenir vendors right outside hotel and was a bonus.

I asked for a connecting room for my family. The hotel had 74% occupancy that week, so they were available but we were asked if we would be willing to pay $250 + tax to be given a connecting room, which seemed odd and unreasonable for an already expensive week. Our flight also landed early but we weren't able to check in until we paid $75.00. Everything just seemed like an up charge for something that was simply available. We've stayed here every year for the last 4 years, and we've checked in as early as 10am, but this time it was just a bad start to the trip. This was definitely our last time at Beachcomber. Our room was also very dirty and dark so we switched to a different room which definitely helped. All in all not a great birthday week and we were let down by Outrigger for a change.

This is a solid choice near Waikiki. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful; our room was clean, spacious and comfortable, and breakfast each day was surprisingly varied and tasty. Would return

The hotel is excellent! It's centralized and very convenient. The rooms were much bigger than I expected and they were clean. All the staff were very friendly. Overall, I would recommend this hotel and will book it again.

The hotel was wonderful! Just wish the pool opened earlier and stayed open later. Props to the hotel for the breakfast vouchers. Maui Brewing company being so close was also nice too!

Great locations, the only complain was there was ants in the room

Great location! Clean rooms, clean lobby, clean all around. Friendly and helpful staff

Overall a good stay. Not soundproof and on a busy bustling fun street! It’s where all the fun is. First night there was a popular band in the pool area that you had to pay to get in. And it was LOUD! Other nights we could hear bands but not as loud. Good news was that all the bands had a good sound at least and would be fun to watch. The little things about the room: not great lighting. Dark closet space where I put my suitcase. It was very hard to see in that space even with all the lights on and curtains open wide. And I’ve been use to a make up (magnifying) mirror in hotels these days. I only wear readers so it was hard to put on eye make up. And no full length mirror. So I had to take my husbands word for it that I looked terrific (but he always says that!). Other than that we had an excellent time in Hawaii and can’t wait to go back!

Great hotel for a stay in the Waikiki area - convenient to everything, nice staff, good food options onsite, nice pool, beach access across the street...! The only issue we had was the street noise from our ocean-view balcony, but that goes with a Kalakaua Avenue location nowadays.

Housekeeping or “someone else” stole a prescription out of our hotel room during our stay. I would hope that a hotel screens its employees better. Even more troubling, was that my medicine was tuck away in a bag in a drawer. So they rifled through all of our personal belongings. Finally, the manager didn’t even offer an apology. Big middle finger to this place.

The hotel is very pretty and the staff was very friendly. Our only complaints are the refrigerator door fell off every time we opened it and the cheap 1 ply Scott toilet tissue. Also the toilet paper would fall off the the toilet paper holder when we used it. We were also told we would have a flat rate of $45.00 to the airport for the car we reserved, but it was $54.00. Over all it was a great place to stay.

Great location… in the middle of Waikiki…. Easy access to the beach, stores, restaurants, cart rental…..
Friendly staff. Room are spacious and comfortable. Would come back anytime!

Great location in the middle of all the Waikiki activity (shops and restaurants and only a block from the beach). Very comfortable and clean room, fun if crowded pool area, nice coffee bar for breakfast.

The location is awesome... right across from the beach and next to lots of restaurants. The International Market is really close too. The valets were awesome for cabs and Ubers. Very helpful. The hotel itself is showing its age a bit. The West side of the hotel affords a great view of the beach come at a price as there is an air condition on the rooftop next door that is LOUD!!! Hard to have a quiet conversation outside on the balcony or sleep without ear plugs. We were on the 19th floor and it was still very noisey. I would give up the ocean view next time be on the other side of the building where im sure its quieter. Their is no room service which wasnt a big deal but if your flight arrives late as ours did you wont find anything open on Kalakaua. The pool is really small and only 4 feet deep on one end and 3 feet deep on the other. Not for swimming, just a splash pool. The gym is smaller than the room we had and not worth mentioning.
Overall its a 3 1/2 or 4 out of 5 mainly for the location.

Finally! A hotel that lives up to the hype. Location is gold, super short walk to beach, Dukes, Cheesecake Factory and loads of other great dining choices. Very tasty breakfast cafe, super pool, nice cabanas. Rooms are locally themed and everything WORKS! Comfy bed, big balcony. Don't believe views worth much - they are only ok from higher up. Staff were lovely and super helpful. It was a genuine pleasure staying. Was sad to leave ;(

Nice hotel, good location but be aware the walls are very thin. We were in a connecting room and there are only two doors between you and the next room so you can’t help but hear conversations, word for word. We could also hear the hairdryer being used late at night. A child in the next room had a crying tantrum and was scolded by his mother for almost an hour- not ideal or relaxing for us in the next room. No doubt they could hear us as well. No fault or complaint about the other guests, they’re just doing their thing, due to a lack of privacy the hotel should consider improvements to soundproofing.
The resort fee was on the steep side at $40 a day, there is only a very small pool and not much else. Other hotels in the area had superior facilities for a slightly higher daily fee.

Centrally located. Close to the beach and lots of great restaurant options. Room was clean and comfortable enough. Could use an update soon, though. The decos are looking a bit tired.

A very good hotel. Nice room, clean, comfortable bed, well decorated. Nice lobby, friendly staff.Conveniently located in the middle of Waikiki Beach neighborhood. Although not a beachfront hotel, we had an ocean view room, and had a good view of the beach/ocean. Would definitely stay there again.

Really enjoyed the convenience of hotels location to shops and beach. Loved the acai bowls and coffee at the little cafe. Would recommend!

I'm always thrilled with my stay here. We usually visit 3 times a year. I realized I've been booking ocean view rooms but am not always given an equally equivalent room as far as view. I cannot seem to see how to book to ensure we get a high floor with the least obstruction.

This property is in a great location. Only one block to get to the beach and close to lots of good restaurants and shops. The Tropical Acai Bowl from the Hawaiian Aroma Caffe located in the lobby was so good I had it three mornings in a row. My room was comfortable and had the amenities I needed. The staff were helpful and friendly. I'd definitely stay here again.

Great service and great area to stay in.

The best thing about this hotel is it's location, it's on the main street on Waikiki right across the from the beach!
Customer service is hit or miss depending on who you talk to. They made me choose between paying to use a microwave or not feed my infant.
They called my room twice and woke up my napping infant TWICE after we told them not to... We got very little sympathy for our complaints.
The pool is FREEZING, even when it's hot outside... everyone is always in the hot tub. Lastly, their partnership with the cafe next to the pool is poor. The cafe does not honor the voucher given by the hotel to Expedia VIP members. I'm sure I'm not the first to complain, so...
Great for most groups I'm sure who might not experience most of what I did, but some things like the pool and cafe treatment are poor overall.

Prime location, super close to the Waikiki beach. Walking distance to all the hot spots. Clean and friendly services.
The pillows were a little high for my liking but I guess that’s a personal preference issue

The hotel has the perfect Waikiki location and a decent pool deck. The only downside is that the ocean-facing rooms get a lot of noise from the air conditioners at the International Marketplace when you are on the decks or the sliding door is open. It would be nice if the hotel also offered beach chairs for their guests (as the Hyatt does -- though the Beachcomber is significantly less expensive for the same great location).

Average property for Waikiki. Very disappointing to book an ocean view room and get “upgraded” to a non ocean view room. Probably won’t return based on that alone.
