Great place for us to have a one night stay! If you don’t need to make meals, this will do! Easy in and out with being close to the street, even after dark!

It was already dark when we were looking for the correct address—it took us a while. We wished there had been more light in the room. Once we moved the blinds up, could not get down—should be a warning sign.

We were so upset that our flight was cancelled due to an ice storm and were unable to get to this spot, communication was excellent, again wish the weather would have let us get there

Floor fans were filthy, old and rusty.
PVC white blinds don't darken the room and none of them were closed.
Fans were not on, host lives upstairs, could have made an effort to cool the place down since she knew that I would only be there for a few hours.
I would not stay there or recommend this place. Very expensive for what you get and I did not feel welcomed.
Host was asked to provide for an early check in since I was only there for a few hours before catching my flight that same day which I made clear to her. She offered me 2PM and her usual check in is at 3PM. I asked her to call me if it was ready earlier. She did not. She sent a message through VRBO that it was ready at 1:30PM and I did not see that message until I checked in at 2PM.
I tried to sleep after I went to get something to eat and could not because it was too loud from the street traffic and also much too hot. I left the place at 6PM.
The positive is that the bed is very comfortable and other than the fans being dirty and rusty, the rest of the place was very clean.
My opinion is that at the price being charged per night, AC can be installed and black out curtains or blinds can be used to cover the windows.
Of all the VRBO's I have rented, this has been the worst in terms of price/quality/amenities ratio.

Love the colorful wall colors & decorations! Very comfortable bed. Beautiful sunset! Great place for 1-2 people only a 10-15 minute drive from the Bay Area restaurants.

Kim has outfitted her property with one of everything. The Studio is attached to her home in a lovely neighborhood. It is a great location for driving to North, South, East or West coast for sight-seeing and water activities. In addition it is near Ali'i Drive for great little shops, restaurants, bars and music! Kim was quick to respond to all of our questions both before and during our stay!

Very basic walk out basement room with bathroom. Coffee maker and microwave but no cooking facilities. Seemed greatly overpriced, however probably comparable to an extremely expensive Kona resort rate market currently. For that amount of money in the future will choose to spend a few dollars more and stay in a decent hotel.

Have easy access to, but be away from the main drag hubub. We got in pretty late, so didn't take full advantage, but if you have more time they had a lovely little porch and beach supplies.
Be aware of limitations of kitchenette (island-wide regulations).

We were welcomed with Aloha to the island as first-time visitors with the perfect place to rest after a long day of travel! It was very easy to access, warm and inviting, convenient location, and a great way to start our trip. Thank you, to the amazing host!!

First time in Hawaii. I had a place to stay but not for the first day, so this was perfect, room, restroom and kitchen for one, humble and simple ! Just what I needed! Nice and quiet. I haven’t rested in such a quiet neighborhood since a long time. My trip has extended so I might use their services again. Thank you so much! nice place

The property is very dated. Portable fan is rusted and dirty. It's quite hot inside the studio at night due to direct exposure to after sun. Can't leave all windows open at night because if safety concerns. It's right by the street and there is no barrier from the street to the front door of the house.

The studio was just as described in the listing. We used it as a one-nigher after flying in that evening on our way to Hilo. It was perfect for our use.

Clean bed; but no ice or mean to make ice. No AC and noisy street and if you are a sensitive sleeper, it's something to consider. no sugar stocked for coffee but I think it's probably missed during cleaning. The bathroom (tub and toilet) and microwave could use an upgrade.

We only stayed one night, but it was a great location and everything was as described. Had no problem parking or getting in, and it was a very cute place! Also, extra points for helping us out with a laundry issue that was above and beyond! Would stay here again!

Very easy to find and central to most everything on the Kona side.
It was pretty much as described; but because we had stayed with my nephew the week before we were prepared for the lack of air conditioning, but I didn’t see that mentioned in the description. We were comfortable during our stay, but the floor fans did need to be cleaned off before using. We also did need to clean part of the refrigerator before putting our food in, and there were visible cobwebs in open floor areas.
The shower pressure is great, and we didn’t hear any noise from above which meant for great sleeping. The fans combined with the street noise made for difficulty in hearing the tv.
Be aware that while the listing does show a refrigerator, it is one without a freezer.
This is a nice place but bathroom needs updating, and speakers on the sitting side (or a soundbar) would be helpful.

Me and my husband enjoyed our stay very much. We’re from Hilo side and was on our anniversary. Very comfy bed PERFECT amount of pillows!! Amazing shower pressure!!!! We will definitely be back!!! Mahalo for the wonderful stay! :)

We landed in Kona but were staying in volcano about 2-3 hours away. This was exactly what we needed. We hit the beach and did some shopping and got breakfast on the water before heading to Hilo. The neighborhood was quiet.

We enjoyed our one night stay. I live on the island and needed a place to crash after a long day at the beach. It was exactly what you expect for HI. The bed was comfortable and that’s truly all you can hope for.
The only thing I could pick apart is the water gets cold pretty quickly.

This place was great! Nice, quiet, cozy, and everything you need. If I were to say one thing, is that it didn't have a closet or somewhere to hang up articles of clothing, but other than that, my wife and I really enjoyed it!
